World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King’s Lead Encounter Designer reported that 10 out of 14 bosses in the Ulduar dungeon will have hard mode options. The development of these hard modes is no doubt welcomed by hardcore raiding guilds that look forward to hard challenges.  Sartharion in the Obsidian Sanctum was the first to offer hard mode options, and Ulduar is the result and culmination of that experiment.

On the other hand, normal mode allows everyone, including casual players, to have access to the lore within dungeons. Something that a large percent of the subscribers didn’t have in Burning Crusade where not many got to experience Black Temple.

	Ignis the Furnace Master, Razorscale, Kologarn, and Auriaya do not have hard modes. Algalon does not have a normal mode. That puts the final number of bosses with hard modes at 10.
