Completing the Midsummer Fire Festival Achievements s no easy task. It has an edge that rivals the Lunar Festival’s Elders which sets you going all around the world. You need to honor the Fire Festival of Eastern Kingdoms, Kalimdor and Outland. And you have to desecrate the Fire Festival of the enemy in those continents too. On the Horde side, it means you have to take the flight path to Arathi Basin and ride all the way to Loch Modan, Dun Morough, then go through Badlands to reach the flight path that takes you to Flaming Crest in Burning Steppes. Gotta ride all the way to Redridge Mountains, Duskwood, Blasted Lands, Elwynn Forest and Westfall. That’s some serious marathon there. If you are still on a 60% speed mount, I pity you.
In total it may take about 6 hours to complete all the achievements. Most of that time is wasted in flight paths. Instead of doing one, then the other—I suggest doing both the Horde and the Alliance Flame Honor and Flame Desecrations. That alternative is time consuming, but in the end you save a lot of flight path time by going to those places just once. If you are Horde and need to go to Stormwind for the King of the Fire Festival achievement, I suggest waiting until you do the Westfall desecration. From there head north to the coast. If you are a fisher and do the dailies that’s a plus. You could use the Water Walking Elixir, unless you are a Death Knight, Shaman or Priest. Go through the Stormwind Harbor and go to the Park area. The Bonfire is not inside the Park however. It is across the bridge on the other side. You can see the tent from the bridge.
From there run to the Deeprun Tram and go to Iron Forge. You will find the bonfire in front of the Explorer’s League (to the right after you exit the tram). If you are able to, return to the tram and hearth. If you are doing Kalimdor, I suggest starting with Silithus and going up. That way you can accomplish the two harder to reach which is Azuremyst/Bloodmyst and Teldrassil—from where you can hearth out. A good thing to have handy is the special cloak reward from the Sha’tari Skyguard which allows you to slow fall. Horde could just fly to Felwood, and slow fall into Darkshore to reach the boats to Azuremyst and Teldrassil. The bonfire in Exodar is located on the north side of the Crystal Hall. Darnassus one is actually in front of the harbor in Rut’theran Village. Don’t forget grabbing the one at Dolanaar.
The Alliance players should enter the backdoor to Orgrimmar on the western side of the river. The bonfire is in front of Mannoroth’s corpse near Thrall’s building. The bonfire in Undercity is easy to access. It is by the throne room above in the ruins. The bonfire in Silvermoon can be found at the Court of the Sun district, near the Murder Row district.
Plan your trajectory before starting. That way you can manage your time properly without forgetting or missing bonfires along the way. Always leave the harder areas to reach to last so that you can use the hearthstone there to jump to the other continent through dalaran. If you have the sandals from the Opera Hall of Karazhan to teleport to Shattrath City, or the Karabor Amulet to teleport to Black Temple—that helps a lot as you can use extra teleports to divide the time you spend reaching places.
If you just want to rack up Burning Blossoms, the desecration of village bonfires give you 10, and the desecration of city bonfires give you more. For the Torch Juggler achievement drag the torch item from your bag to the UI bar and keybind it. Usually on keystroke 1. To complete it you need to be in Dalaran. Spam [1] as fast as you can beneath your character’s feet. You must juggle 40 in 15 sec to complete the achievement. It is much faster to use a keybind on your keyboard than to manually move your mouse cursor to the item and point and click. Want a good reason to do the Seasonal World Events? Completing all of them year round will grant you a special reward: The Violet Proto-Drake 310% speed. I am getting mine once Brewfest kicks in this upcoming September—yay, me!
