The details to pre-order the BlizzCon 2009 DIRECTV Live Stream is now available. Pre-orders will start on August 9th, 2009. However, there is something you need to know prior to ordering it. You need to subscribe to DIRECTV first. Once you have an account and subscribe to the Pay Per View event, you must enter the account info on the BlizzCon.Rayv.com website to redeem your free Live Stream coverage. You must also install the RayV Flash plugin to allow your browser to load the HD quality live stream:

“DIRECTV CUSTOMERS – PLEASE READ BEFORE ORDERING
This live stream is complimentary to DIRECTV customers who order the televised pay per view event. The televised pay per view event must be ordered prior to registering for the internet stream in order to receive the internet stream for free. Preorders for the BlizzCon 2009 Pay Per View Event will be available at directv.com or 1-800-531-5000, starting August 9th. Beginning August 9th, this site will allow DIRECTV subscribers who order the pay per view event, to enter their DIRECTV account number during the registration process. Verified accounts will not be billed for the internet stream.”

The Live Stream FAQ page may be read here.

Blizzard Quote:
This year, for the first time, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy a live Internet stream of BlizzCon coverage from the comfort of your own home. The stream includes the same content as the DIRECTV pay-per-view event, but you do not have to be a DIRECTV subscriber to purchase it. It consists of over 16 hours of video, including interviews and commentary, main stage presentations, and tournament coverage. It’s now available to order for $39.95, and purchasers will also receive the BlizzCon 2009-exclusive in-game pet, Grunty the Murloc Marine (not available in all regions). Head over to the BlizzCon 2009 Live Stream website to get more information, to test video playback on your system, or to place an order.
