Brewfest to be Tested on PTR

Posted 24th Jun 2008 03:23 AM by Maticus

Blue poster Kisirani announced earlier that the Brewfest event is to be tested on the Public Test Realms. Last year, Blizzard had to stop one of the activities in-game due to bugs, but they’re keen to get the problems ironed out ready for this year’s celebrations.

Also, building on the success of the Headless Horseman during Hallow’s End last year, and following in the footsteps of the most recent event boss Lord Ahune, Blizzard are also adding a level 70 event boss for Brewfest. He’ll be in Blackrock Depths, and luckily there will be a way to get right to him, no clearing necessary!

Brewfest runs from the end of September to early October, so based on the fact this new boss will be level 70 and not 80, we’ll know not to expect the expansion before then raspberry

We’ve made some changes to Brewfest this year, and we’re testing it out on the PTR. We have a few things in particular we’d like you to test when the holiday is active:

The Dark Iron Attack is back this year, every half-hour at the main Brewfest camps outside of Orgrimmar and Ironforge. Please test out the attack and give us your feedback on how it plays out.

There is a new boss in Blackrock Depths to test—Coren Direbrew, who is located in the Grim Guzzler. The mole machine directly to the right as you zone in should transport you to the Grim Guzzler. No need to clear all the way up there. wink

Thank you all for your participation and valuable feedback—we really appreciate it![/blue]
