A recent study shows that, contrary to popular belief, playing computer games does not turn you into a drooling unsocial layabout in need of a wash, but actually increases peoples’ capability to solve problems in Maths and Science, amongst other things.

The surgeons showcased in this article are most certainly not representative of the average gamer. Before you champion your video game enhanced spatial-awareness, ask yourself one question: Have video games helped you attain the level of dedication and knowledge necessary to graduate from something like Med school? If your answer is no, playing video games may help you flip burgers more accurately at the local McDonalds, but they will not help you achieve much worthwhile in your life, at least if you abuse them.
