According to multiple sources around the internet, the US store 7-11 has been a bit naughty, and is selling Wrath of the Lich King early.
If you do go and get yourself the expansion from there today, you won’t be able to explore Northrend before anyone else, but you will have the game all ready and installed when Lich King goes live, around midnight Wednesday night. This will give you an edge over the majority of players, who will have to wait for their pre-ordered copies to come through, or who have a copy but back at another store.

Hilarious. I wouldn’t go out and buy because I’ve already plunked $42 for my preorder, but getting it installed early would be a nice incentive. Then again, this could just be one of those brushfire rumors that spreads without substantiation.
