Legendary Bow Dropped

Posted 30th May 2008 11:49 AM by Leord

First drop of the Legendary bow Thori’dal, the Stars’ Fury has arrived! When Last Resort (IRC: #lr.wow on irc.quakenet.org) managed their first Kil’jaeden kill they were lucky enough to have the bow drop. The bow went to the Hunter Stefang

[QUOTE=det;4131468]Yes, I agree ofc that it is a huge boost to raiduing and it is a great idea to add that as a feature to some bows, maybe even the odd epic one. What I wanted explained is how..

“the ammo bs is totally pointless and contradicts the whole purpose of the hunter class

What does the “purpose” of the hunter has to do with ammo? You use a ranged weapon. It needs ammo.

I’m not sure either how “not needing ammo” contradicts the purpose of the hunter, but I think I know where he was coming from with the BS part.

Every class has to deal with the repair thing and the potions thing, etc.
But….Locks can always create shards on the go. Meleers…your sword, mace, dagger, etc, is always there. Just start swinging again and you’re back in business. Casters….can drink or if really lazy, just sit and wait for mana to regen, and they’re good to go. But a hunter in an instance, who runs out of ammo, is pretty much worthless. He can sit and wait all he wants, but his ammo pouch/quiver won’t fill up on its own. It’s the one class that actually HAS to pay in order to utilize their main weapon.

Now, if they were to put in a hunter skill like “Salvage Ammo” that allowed a hunter to somehow extract or create their own ammo…THAT would be something.  Mages can make their own water and biscuits, warlocks can extract sould shards (from beasts that supposedly don’t even have souls anymore no less, not to mention 2 or more locks extracting the same soul to make separate shards). Why can’t hunters at least retrieve some of their arrows from the dead mob ?

The multiple soul shard thing is understandable - it’s only a shard, not the whole thing. Also, where do you get the “don’t even have souls” part?

As a hunter I’ve hit this problem many times in many instances. My arrow quiver is just large enough that I can stop thinking about my arrows, but not big enough that it lasts long enough. I would love a Salvage Arrow ability (even if it only worked on creatures you shot).
