News this morning that Blizzard has started the closed Alpha test for WotLK with a select player base being invited to check the expansion out under a tight NDA. This is of course the first step toward a closed beta test, which we reported about yesterday, then hopefully a public beta test of the expansion if Blizzard think it will be necessary depending on how well the testing goes. We’ll keep everyone updated and hopefully hear some news on this direct from Blizzard.

That IMAGE IS NOT from the Alpha it was made by Kanaru the same person who made the Northrend map that was seen last year. He may make other maps like this one for the other 3 zones Blizzard showed design layouts for at Blizzcon.

WotLK if its in Alpha is in a very early Alpha phase with the full blown Friends and Family not even started yet.
When you see things on WoWWiki take the time to see who posted it or any notes on the image. Images that are leaked from the Alpha would NEVER be on WoWWiki due to the NDA.
