New 1-70 Record

Posted 20th Mar 2008 10:27 PM by Rushster

There seems to be a bit of battle going on for who can get to level 70 quickest and you’ve probably checked out Athene’s video and guide posted earlier. However it looks like his original record has been beaten by Tosog on the server EU-Kil’Jaeden who has managed it in 1 day 4 hours and 28 minutes with his Tauren Druid (See update below for the latest record). The proof shot is here and there has also been a video posted…

The guys on our German sister site Worldofwar.de also pinned down Tosog to ask him a few questions about the record and if your German is good you can read that on this page.

Update: Yes this has already been broken since this was posted. 1 day, 2 hours and 31 minutes is the new record. This was acheived by Mineva (Stormscale-EU) and the well known Athene. So who’s next? Any takers?

if it’s a real solo leveling tactic, there would’ve been nothing stopping them from video capping the entire leveling proccess.  Since no one has done so, the way they level probably involve a lot of help from one or more characters at level 70 or some kind of dirty tricks.

Didn’t we already talk about how Athene’s already beaten this?

Sorry to rain on the interview, but…

Corga - that only works if the mob you’re doing that for is 8 levels below the one doing the killing.  Otherwise the xp gain is miniscule.

I leveled my wife this way.  She was at level 60, and I took her to Hellfire to level.  Since the mobs were too low, I took her to Zangarmarsh - 62s gave LOTS of xp, but 61s gave very, very little.

There has to be some route they’ve discovered that maximizes the quest/grind ratio.  I’ve found a few places in the game like that, but I haven’t kept enough track of where they are and the best methods for going through the quests.  For most people, just remembering to get that quest, loot that item, or empty those bags before going off somewhere else would save hours (probably days /played for some of us  ).
