Posted 14th May 2008 02:52 PM by Maticus

You can check out the full patch notes for Patch 2.4.2 over in our Patches Forum, but if you were wondering about things that didn’t make the official notes, here’s all that’s known so far:

NOTE: This will be updated regularly.

General

  • Human Female weapons are bigger, they now match the size they are when sheathed.

[hunter]Hunter[/hunter]

  • There is still a bug with Growl that is allowing it to scale with some pet attack power buffs as well as the hunter’s attack power. This will be fixed in a future patch.
  • Scare Beast still has a 1.5 second cast time, and is not instant as indicated on the tooltip. The tooltip will be corrected in a future patch.

[mage]Mage[/mage]

  • Alliance Mage trainer, Horace Alder, has been added. He is located in Theramore’s tower on the floor below Jaina Proudmore. The new Portal trainer, Ysuria is on the ground floor.
  • The new Portal Trainer, Lorrin Foxfire, is located on the ground floor of the large building in the middle of Stonnard.

[rogue]Rogue[/rogue]

    [shaman]Shaman[/shaman]

      Quests

        Dungeons and Raids

                  Items

                  • Goblin Rocket Launcher now suffers pushback from enemy attacks.
                  • The tooltip for the enchant associated with [item type=“preload”]Mithril Spurs[/item] now says “+4% Mount Speed”
                  • Shaani, Jewelcrafting supplier on the Isle of Quel’Danas now sells [item type=“preload”]Design: Purified Shadowsong Amethyst[/item].
                  • Officer Accessories Quartermasters in Stormwind and Orgrimmar now sell an epic quality [item type=“preload”]Medallion of the Alliance[/item] and [item type=“preload”]Medallion of the Horde[/item] respectively. They cost 40k Honor to purchase.
                  • The price of the rare “Medallion of the Alliance” and “Medallion of the Horde” has been reduced to 8k Honor.
                  • Staff of the Forest Lord now has a glow when enchanted

                  User Interface

                  • The combat log now shows players’ deaths again
                  • Chat filters now work correctly
                  • Sending an n to chat now results in an emote being sent instead: “

says something unintelligible.”. This no longer logs players straight out.
                  • Minimap Ping Macros Disabled - Allowing AddOns to target spells via the minimap ping was not intentional and was fixed. AddOns may not directly cast spells or change targeting.
                  • Chat interface now indents all lines after the first one on multi-line messages.
                  Sounds
                  • The abilities Bloodrage, Shamanistic Rage, Bloodfury and Berserker Rage have a new sound, which matches the sound for the Shaman spell Bloodlust; this is also the sound some mobs have when they enrage
                  • Cat mounts now roar when the spacebar is pressed
                  World Environment
                  • * Windy Clouds have been fixed to make sure most of them can be reached
                  • An NPC has been added to the Aldor Rise, next to the inn. Technician Halmaha offers Engineering supplies and repairs.

Still did’nt fix the boar charge spell, its still fireing in combat.. Meaning if the boar is attacking one mob and another starts to shoot it it will fire and charge the 2nd mob before the first one is dead..Now to me when this is only out of combat spell this should not happen.. This has been going on for over a year now. Blizzard keeps telling me there looking into it but how long would it take??

The quest Catch and Release on Bloodmyst Isle has been changed such that the Murlocs now despawn after being tagged, rather than just having a 30 sec debuff that keeps them from being tagged again.

Previously, you could just sit and tag the same Scout over and over again, as long as you waited for the debuff to wear off.
