Posted 15th Oct 2008 02:10 AM by Maticus

According to the latest figures from NPD for the week September 28th to October 4th 2008, Warhammer Online has lost its top spot on the PC Game sales chart, as Spore retakes the lead.

WAR falls to number two after a brief period at the top, followed by Civ IV at #3 and a Sims title at #4. WoW holds spots 5, 7 and 9 with the Battlechest, Vanilla WoW and TBC expansion pack in that order.

Spore also has another title in the chart, albeit at number ten, the Spore Creature Creator. Here is the full top ten chart:

  • Spore
  • Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning
  • Civilization IV: Colonization
  • The Sims 2 Apartment Life Expansion Pack
  • World Of Warcraft: Battle Chest
  • Crysis Warhead
  • World Of Warcraft
  • The Sims 2 Double Deluxe
  • World Of Warcraft: Burning Crusade

I know, and I will be surprised if Lich King doesn’t stay at the top for a while smile

While WoW isn’t in the top spots anymore it should still be noted it holds 3 of the top 10 spots.  Spore holds 2 and is barely holding on to the top 10
