PTR 3.2 - Isle of Conquest Battleground Exploration Video

Posted 27th Jun 2009 11:51 PM by Medievaldragon

World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King PTR 3.2 has introduced a new battleground named the Isle of Conquest.  This is an exploration video showing you the scenarios and environment to get acquainted without risk of getting your character killed during exploration. Therefore you won’t see much PvP here.

You can see the siege vehicles available and their functions.  They are used to destroy the enemy’s Keep gates. One of the vehicles allows you to catapult yourself above and across the keep’s walls.  This way you can use the bombs of the enemy to destroy the gates.

By taking control of the Hangar, you can teleport into the Gunship that flies in auto-mode toward the enemy’s keep.  It has many turrets to shoot cannon balls to the Keep’s defenses and to help destroy the gates.  More importantly, you can jump down into the Keep with a parachute.

Note: This video contains pieces of different matches edited and put together.  The video is 20 minutes long, but each Isle of Conquest match lasts approximately 8-15 minutes, depending how fast a faction gets to destroy the gates and to kill the Keep General.  Took me about 8 different matches to be able to explore the entire isle, not counting the many times I got killed and had to start over.  I got the bullets for your safe exploration video. =)

Nice video, the Quarry and the glaive throwers in particular look awesome. And an easy way to get “Going Down”. wink
You’ve edited the video now and then, and even though it’s almost 20 minutes long, it says 9 minutes at the end, so I was wondering: how long do these battlegrounds usually run?

PS: “Blizzplanetz”? Are you starting a star system or did someone dare to take the name before you? xD

That’s pretty short. Well, it might get longer with the changes they announced a couple days ago (increased health for gates and generals, reduced speed for the glaive throwers, etc.), we’ll see. Thanks for the info.
