Blizzard have cleared the Public Test Realm Forum, reposted the PTR Technical FAQ and re-written the PTR Read Me in preparation for the next testing period. This means we’ll soon see the huge content patch, referred to as 3.0, that Blizzard spoke about a couple of days ago.
However, don’t get your hopes up; as Tigole pointed out yesterday, there’s still a lot to do before we’ll see it on live servers:

They are still being iterated on. 3.0 will be on the PTR’s soon. There is still a lot of testing before 3.0 would go live to public servers.
If you look back at past patches, we’ve had patches on the PTR for over 2 months before.[/BLUE]
Tigole also spoke about the Achievements system. It was originally planned that achievements wouldn’t go live until Lich King launched, but it’s looking like it will be included in 3.0 now:
[BLUE=“http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=9232546708&sid=2000”]Originally, the answer was no. We were going to wait until Northrend opened. But we will most likely put the system live for 3.0. This could of course change but the current leaning is to put the system live with 3.0.[/BLUE]

With the PTR coming up with 3.0, I might just log in to check out Inscription and see what the best way to level it up for my Death Knight when the expansion releases. What is everyone else looking forard to in 3.0 and 3.0.1?
