One of the many advantages to playing on a Role Play server is that you get events like the Annual Winter Veil Ball on the European RP server Argent Dawn. I was lucky enough to attend the last one, and it was even better than I'd imagined. There was a real party atmosphere, almost everyone obeyed the RP rules (with the exception of the odd fool), and it was a good two or three hours full of entertainment. In fact, it made such an impression on me that I'm now in the process of transferring all my characters from a PvP server to AD.
If you've never seen an RP event, you should start off with a cracker like this and you're in luck, because it's not long until the next one. The organiser, Créek, announced the 3rd Annual Winter Veil Ball today, which will take place on 28th December in Ironforge. Well, it's back. Once again, the Winter Veil Ball will roam the city of Ironforge. Last year was a success (thanks to Acrona ), but I bet that we can do it better this year, if we put a lot of effort in it. Therefore, help is needed. Below you can find general information, news, contact, wanted help and other various things. I will do my best to update this thread on a regular basis.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
Date: 28th. December, 2008.
Time: 20:00 – 23.00 CET (In-game time).
Where: Ironforge, Hall of Explorers, The Library. (Location may change!)
Faction: Alliance.
Main Organizer: Créek.
Dress code: Red, Green, White, Black. Formal dressing is preferred.
History behind the ball:
The idea of a Winter Veil themed ball came up three years ago, when another RP realm (Steamwheedle Cartel) were planning to hold one. As our lovely realm was not, I thought it would be a wonderful idea to create a similar event on AD. The first ball was organized by one of my older characters, Nagifar, and Kismat (who I believe in 2005 did a similar themed ball). Second ball was organized by my current character Créek and Acrona. Thanks to Acrona and her amazing effort, the ball was a far greater success than the first. Both years, the ball has had the pleasure to receive catering from our favorite Thirsty Knight, Ricaver, and protection from the fantastic watchmen of The Stormwind City Watch.

6. November - I've edited a couple of things + I've found a catering group!
1. December - First update in a long time. Acrona has agreed to help with the graphical design for the event page on AA. Also, the idea of a Winter Veil based play has been put down, since we didn't have enough time to time to finish the script and find actors. Therefore we'll be hosting a simple drinking contest instead. More information will be posted soon.
WE ARE STILL IN NEED OF A SECURITY GROUP, AS WELL AN INSULTER OR TWO AND A SKILLED ENGINEER WHO CAN CRAFT US SOME FIREWORKS (WILL BE PAID FOR COURSE).

… Or two! Acrona added a small, but successful humorous act into the ball last year, and I think that it could be fun to do it again. If anyone is up for the small challenge, then contact me.
