I have interesting news to report regarding a recent forum thread that struck me from the onset as outrightly weird. A new user, who appeared to have registered with us to bring us the dramatic news of having apparently free gameplay due to a repeated billing screw up on Blizzard’s part, drew a great deal of attention from users, but rather unsurprisingly the details seemed sketchy and the user’s behaviours flaky and suspect.
In some sort of bizarre trolling exercise the poster by the name of ‘Glitchedaccount’, a highly original name at that, become progressively stranger, here’s a snippet:
Actully i Must thank you all. i called blizzard. They are buying my account back and hookin me up with some items and gold in warhammer. Wicked!
An intriguing tale indeed. I would not have realised Blizzard would place any value on one of their own game’s player accounts, let alone use a rival’s game as some form of bartering currency for the exchange. Clearly I’ve been asking for the wrong kind of deals when speaking with GMs.
