WorldofWar.Net Site Updates

Posted 28th Oct 2008 07:03 PM by Rushster

Some of you may have noticed a few new bits and pieces on the site this evening. We have completely redone the site content system which gives us increased flexibility with the site and also makes things a lot easier for you to find. There is now also a new profile page and your forums login is still also tied to the website. Over the coming days we’ll be tweaking and adding to the site so if you see anything weird, don’t worry we’ll more than likely be up to something in the background smile

I feel better.  I checked the site earlier and it appeared most of the layout and color scheme was missing.  It felt very 1995

Front page loads so much faster now, at least codewise (though theirs less images).

Can we have notify me of followup comments default off? People might occasionally forget to untick it and as a consequence see their email spammed with comments.

I’m getting IE alerts stating that a script is causing the page to run slowly. Once the script is stopped the page runs happily.

Can we have RSS feeds back too please!

I’m getting the same script alert in IE.  It’s also decreasing the width of the articles.  The first article a the top of the page is full width.  Second is an inch narrower.  Then another inch…

We’re looking into the script problem with IE right now. In regards to the RSS feed, you can find it here
