Good news if you left things a bit late, but bad news if you’re keen to get started: Bornakk has announced an extension to the practice phase on the tournament realms:

[blue=http://www.wowblues.com/us/wow-arena-tournament-practice-phase-extended-5784443252.html]We have extended the first phase of the Arena Tournament for the First Qualification Round by one week. The practice phase of the tournament will conclude on April 22, 2008 with scheduled maintenance. The second phase of the tournament will begin once scheduled maintenance is complete. For more details and the full tournament schedule for the First Qualification Round, please see the post:

He also went on to explain some of the rules concerning travelling and mods for later on in the tournament, along with other general information:

[blue=http://www.wowblues.com/us/attn-mods-as-well-as-tournament-questions-5784481569.html]
1. Traveling would occur at the live Regional Qualfier events. The top 4 teams from each qualifier round will be invited and flown out to the live regional qualifier event to compete for cash prizes and a chance to be invited to the 2008 World of Warcraft Global Invitational Arena Championships.

2. Mods will not be allowed for the live events. Eyonix posted about this here: Mods after first stage.

3. Mods that are allowed by the ToU and EULA are allowed for the onlish phase, but as stated above, they will not be allowed at the live events.[/blue]

[blue=http://www.wowblues.com/us/need-some-answers-5784441538.html]Eligible teams must have played a minimum of 200 games during Phases 2 and 3 to be able to qualify to advance to the regional qualifier.

Each team member must have participated in 30% of their team’s games to be eligible to qualify.

If anything else is causing confusion, please let us know.

Yes, they have to play 30% with each character individually, not combined. Each character must earn their spot.[/blue]
