While I love a good WoW movie I’ve not been paying much attention to the Athene series of movies that have been populating YouTube for some time.
The ‘Best Paladin in the World’, as he likes to remind everyone every 30 seconds, apparently has a movie coming out entitled Wrath Of The 1337 King.
If you’ve spent any time watching the ramblings of Athene on a variety of topics then this may tickle your fancy as the movie is the “first mainstream movie to depict the pro-gamer culture in a realistic and respectful fashion”.
Whether it being done in a respectful fashion is actually possible based on Athene’s boob-pointing, language and sexual references is another matter, but with the popularirty of the series it should peek some interest.
The blurb that came through also states…
“Wrath Of The 1337 King will smash traditional gamer stereotypes and give the gamer culture the voice that it deserves. The movie will target mainstream audiences and the millions of Athene fans through an international theatrical release.”
Let’s hope it’s nothing like the other movies then, they pretty much show up every stereotype of on-line gamers. No dates for release have been set but more info will posted on the Wrath Of The 1337 King site when things are finalised.
