Everyone who attended the Worldwide Invitational last weekend received a gift card, allowing them to claim the new non-combat pet, a mini Tyrael. In addition to this, the card also entitles players to enter a beta test for one of Blizzard’s new games. We’ve all assumed the next beta testing would be for Lich King, but French community manager Thyvene has issued a statement saying that it doesn’t guarantee a spot on WoW’s next expansion beta:

Unfortunately, we can not guarantee that the code gives you access to the Beta for Wrath of the Lich King in particular. Therefore, to increase your chances of being selected to participate in the WOTLK’s Beta test, we advise you enter the draw held for this phase of Beta testing, via the account management: http://www.wow-europe.com/account/
