lol everyone needs to post, once were done with the scene here and were all introduced were just all going to do wahtever and then in the middle of the night we hear loud noise and junk so we all wake up or go to the noise(if your already awake) and then we shall find the evil dude i saw and hes gonna summon a buncha a demons and we gonna kill em' then more like him are going to come and their going to do a ritual spell that binds us so we cant barely move then send us to outland!! dun dun dun so everybooooodey keep postin and get ready for outland!

Just make sure we get lots of options once we get their. I notice that the first thing to kill a story is being directed. People want to do their own thing often enough. At lest it helps me what I do stuff to throw options around

As far as I know it is allowed. No one tries to stop you but I seem hard to get people interested...... Anywho I am trying to make one but of course all my rpgs are based in my own little worlds...dont' look at me like that! Anyway I got a world building thing going but it is primarly located in the war3forums but any comments are welcomed

Yes sorry about the control, but right now if someone doesnt make a guideline we will never make it to outland were our story is supposed to take place. And yes once we get to outland i plan on easying up alot on control and characters will be able to make whatever event they please o yah and bob, just cuz we didnt find any trace doesnt mean their not here

I know what you mean. Well I don't want any sneezing! My flaw is the sheer lack of common sense and in battle agility is not a big thing with me. Meaning douging and what not doesn't go over well. Though I think we should be able to take on the standard orc fairly easy. My summon was more powerful in the battle do to the spirit that I used on it too, that and everyone else was fairly strong.

I want replies on my post though! Dam# I was working hard on that

I was sort of upset about how the battle turned out. It was about 60 of them, to 30 of us, and we only had roughly 6 powerful people. Don't get me wrong, I don't expect to lose easily, but we should always have to try very hard. No offence, but one arrow or sword blow to a pit lord isn't going to take them down. At least make it realistic. Scenarios I see that would be good for us, is being attacked in a city we are traveling through, vastly out-numbered. Or 4 very powerful beasts we have to fight. What do the rest of you think?

I agree. To tell you the truth, when Dorgian killed the Pit Lord with one arrow I was a little mad. Pit Lords should NOT be mere cannon fodder. I was hoping that we were able to drive back the orcs or something and the little elf would be able to distract the big lug by harassing it with arrows and hit and run while we ran in later to take it out as a unit. Looking back, my character probably shouldn't have been nearly as powerful as I made him to be. I didn't even let him take a scratch. But then again, this is my first RP, as well.

I think that compared to our last battle we should be more dumbed down and less uber. Especially Dorgian. I mean, he was supposed to be the runt that wins our confidence through a lot of hard work. Not a Pit Lord Assassin.

I agree with all of what was said, the pitlord should have been a harder target. and as for our strength we should be above the average warrior but not too strong. do you guys want to move to outland very soon, or just wait awhile in the town?

What is a pitlord exactly? is it anything like a pit fiend from D&D? (One of the harder demons in the monster manual)

It was fine how we all ended up the battle. The battle was an easy one. And next time, when someone says, "A big blah blah lumbered towards them," describe it so we all know what we are up against.

I came up with an idea when I was writing the last post.

We are going to Draenor/Outland, and the Blood Elves are there, which should make for an interesting encounter or two once we get there, but what if this Outlander was an Undead elf that I had known at one time?

I don't want to be the star of our story at all, but I think it would be a cool plot branch. Let me know what you think.

After all of this it is reveil that the creature was not an orc but actually some kind of demon.

That would make it interesting. For instance, while i'm tracking him, all you can think about is the demon. Then, you remember who it is, and you say the name. Then you tell us who it is, and I know the name since many of my kind have hunted him down and been killed. Maybe that would work.

Zoyah, a pit lord is a powerful demon that should be equivalent to a lesser dragon. Which is why they all get so mad when someone make them a cannon fodder, :D

That... is an unusual problem. As I said in the thread itself, you can be virtually anything you want to be. I could understand being unable to choose, but being unable to think of anything at all? Strange.

The fire flared for second shedding a red light upon Monga’s face. He took a stick and prodded the fire for second, as if nothing had happen. Yet as the fire threw shadows on his face a single tear drop glistened in the night.

“This doesn’t really surprise me. I would have done the same thing in your shoes. I mean I am a twisted soul but that wasn’t my choice,” Monga’s voice cracked again but he managed to continue as he rose up. “It’s ironic, before I became what you see I was a monk. A man of the light but…”

“We won’t be having time for ye sob stories ya corrupted. So will ye be coming quietly or will we have to rough ya up?” Thran said with little emotion. In the damp grass they formed a semi circle around Monga as he stood up.

A long period of silence drifted in the air as the fire crackled and curiosity was drawing the camp in close. Fervor was rising in the warrior’s eyes, the sort that a cornered animal would have.

“Ssspeak!” hissed Allias as Monga stood, unmoving.

“I did not commit the act you accuse me off and I refuse to be blamed on such a whim,” Monga said in a defiant voice.

With on quick motion Thran stepped forward and sent Monga straight into the earth. “We ain’t asking for yar cooperation corrupted one, we are demanding you come along.”

“What proof do you have that I was involved? I have been here bandaging my wounds during the night. What reasons do you have to accuse me?”

Thran stepped forward again shifting his bulk over the warrior, “You seemed to enjoy combat a bit much? I believe I saw ye scalping a few, eh?”

Monga glared at the imposing Thran and retorted, “I have done no such thing. I will admit to a lust for battle but I have not dismembered those that have already fallen nor would I!”

“Liar!” with that Thran lashed out, knocking him once again to the ground. As Monga hit the dirt Thran moved to pick him up by the neck and spoke again. “You don’t have to be saying ye guilty but we be expecting you come along quietly.”

For a moment there was a pause but then a blur of red light showed that Monga had hit Thran square on the chin, leaving a chard mark. “Why should I trust you with my life? Everyone I have known has let me down. It wasn’t even my choice to become what I am. I was a genie pig for some twisted experiment.”

“Liessss,” Allias hiss as he charges Monga from the side toppling him into another giarin who throws him back to the earth. For a second Monga doesn’t get up, he just stares at the ground.

“I just want to know why you believe I am so which, besides what my appearance tells you.”

Again a movement is seen and Monga flies backward, this time he gets up quickly. He stares at those harassing him and his eyes glow a bit.

“Leave him alone! We don’t even have a plausible reason to blame him, he has done nothing to create suspicion! Leave him be for now, spend your aggressions elsewhere,” Tonya strikes Thran on the back as she commands him to listen, which he does not.

“This is not a matter of what be fair; this is a matter of what be best. I know little of dis creature and dus I can not trust him. For all we be knowing he became what he is by killing his best friend.”

“I have done no such thing! How can you all judge me like this. Even I would of show more compassion more caring for such a creature. Look at me, I suffer is that not enough for you. Why must you torment me,” Monga anger was rising and the red flames on his body were a testament to it.

“Liesss,” again Allias hisses and charges at Monga and in one quick movement Monga sends the wayward seir flying into another giarin.

“I will not take more of this. Banish me if you will but I shall not be put on a trial. I know that such a thing would never be in my favor, I am no stupid. I know what sediments run form people that end up like me, I was one that held such an opinion.”

“Once again I must remind ye, we ain’t asking and we ain’t taking no for de answer,” then that Thran once again moves to strike Monga. Monga places his hand on the giarins chest and a large blast of fire escapes his hand, putting Thran on his butt.

“Monga calm down, you are not helping yourself! This can only harm you. Just try and talk,” Tonya pleads with the red warrior.

“I think they don’t want to talk anymore,” Monga retorts his voice filled with frustration.

One of the giarin makes a move, clubbing Monga right in the chest and sending him flying. Another one makes fast pursuit, picking him up and tossing him into the nearest tree. Monga gets up slowing his anger building. Another giarin charges him and he lets loose another fire ball right into the warrior, sending him to the ground.

“Don’t tempt us corrupted, we could be putting ye in an early grave if ye be pushing us. We ain’t in the mood to negotiate and we ain’t aiming to do so.”

“I am ready for what you bring,” Monga yells at Thran as he finishes speaking.

One giarin takes his weapon and swings it at Monga. It is a weapon that many of the mercenaries have, a club with a sharpened edge. Monga ducks below the weapons and sends a flaming punch into the warrior’s jaw causing him to stumble backwards. Yet no sooner then the blow was struck then was Monga again sent flying in the air. As Monga flies through the airs once more he twists and lands one his hands again.

“Why don’t ye be putting down ye dukes and let us take ye in Monga. I promise ya that we won’t strangle ye until the proof is found but until den ye be the prim suspect,” Thran yells into the night as the group again closes in on the red warrior. Thran has brought out his axe, a mighty weapon that is much larger then any a human would wield.

“I said I won’t be taken in for something I have not done! I have taken enough abuse already. I can not stand still as more is pressed upon my shoulders.”

This time a giarin warrior using a type of steel mitt clubs Monga right in the gut and hurls him into the air. While Monga soars in the air he screams out in anger. A ring of fire burst from him, scorching several trees and the giarin that had gotten too close. Monga comes back to the earth, hard. Allias races forward and uses his tail to hit the warrior again. The red warrior gets up slowly as the seir prepares to charge.

“Enoughsss!!!!!!” Allias roars as he races forward. Monga braces himself, a dull gleam in his eye.

A gleam of steel is all that is seen of Allias in the night. A swift blur of red can be seen as Monga moves to counter the attack. A cry erupts, a reptilian cry.

Monga stands there; his fist plunged in Allias’s chest and the fiery magics he used to attack lapping around his arm. For a moment Monga just stands there, unmoving and in shock. Slowly he pulls back his hand and watches as Nio’s best friend, the person that saved him and stood up for him, dies.

“Monga what have you done! You’ve killed him!” Tonya yells as the light is shifted upon the deadly scene.

“Kill de bloodly bastard!!” Thran yells in full force, anger taking him.

Monga drops his stick and flees into the night, stumbling as he runs. The giarin pursue for a short time but they are much too slow and are quickly outpaced. Tonya follows the red warrior, much more capable of keeping up.

“Lass stop!! Don’t ye be following that cursed creature! Tonya!!!... She will be fine. Back to camp men we have some plans to attend to. We can not let this stop us, that what dey be expecting,” Thran tries to keep his head about him, stuttering a bit but still confident of his course of action. In the darkness Thran gathers up his injured men and heads back into the camp as Tonya runs after Monga.

“Stop running Monga!!! They have fallen behind and you can talk to me, I will listen!” Tonya yells.

Monga stops in mid flight and whirls around, “Did you not see what I just did! I killed your friend right in front of you! Does this mean nothing! I am a monster, a creature of death of destruction. I do no deserve the life that swells inside of me, let me die.”

“You only did what you had to survive Monga. They assaulted you on false ground and you defended yourself. You can’t beat yourself up over protecting yourself.”

For a moment Monga just stares at her. He then raises his fist in one swift motion as if to strangle himself, his very palms burn with flame, “Look at these. See the talons that come from where I used to have finger nails? Where my skin use to be as pale as night? No you don’t, you see something changed…”

“You claim that you were forced to become some twisted experiment; then it is not your fault. Then perhaps I can ask you this, for any man would like to lighten such a burden..”

Monga stared for a moment, “I will only tell you that it was someone you wouldn’t expect. They did something to me. I am not sure what it was but it felt as if my soul was torn from my body. After that I do not remember what happen…”

“But how did they capture you, or imprison you,” Tonya said trying to hide her curiosity. Her hands moved up and against her chest as she shifted her feet.

Monga stops for a moment staring at something, “I had been called to duty to slay a great monstrosity. I and my fellow monks had taken arms against a demon that had entered this realm. The creature had possessed some helpless woodland creature. I believe it was a boar, at least before he touched it. Most of us died to the creature, but somehow I managed to live. Monga stands there for a moment taking what Tonya says in, “But can he ever forgive me for what I have done? He had a friend, someone to talk to. You can not replace a thing like that.”

“Could he ever forgive you if you ran away, or killed yourself?”

Monga just stood there for a long time, paralyzed with thought. Tonya put her hand on his shoulder and stared into his eyes. Then Monga moved his hand over his heart,.“I lend you my life…,” Monga’s voice shakes in the darkness as he takes up Tonya’s hand and presses it to his heart. “I vow on what kindness lurks in my soul and what hope still exists.” The words were that of a monk, something that strangely made Tonya cringe.

Vallum is a big world, and the boards are all vallum, different portions are devoted to different things.

Their is one for Character creation, one for general chat, one for each area of the land. If you just take a look at youll get the general drift.

Vallum, a world made up by a lady...

Its made up mainly of three lands, Erray Talus, Signus Rema, and Aquaris Lanis. Plus a fourth land called the Temple of Shadow where Nightshade rules.

You basically interact with other people, go on quests made up by yourself, and pursue whatever you desire. You also create your own character, to a limit of two if you're active enough.

Since Vallum is a budding forum, ideas are welcomed by Lady Nitidus, who's the adminstrator.

I do recommend it, because it is both fun and could grow to be very excellent. if only we had new RPG'ers to add to it... :scratch: I know! :howdy: let's go!

I am Nio the something to do with having no name person. Some people know me for my artisitc abilites. Which for the most part are limited to visual arts though I do try writing and poetry. Though I must admit I have a lack of time/timing of creativity(meaning I may of had the spark.. in the middle of class). I am alot busier then I use to be and thus I will appologise for when it shows. Thouse you have known me for a while known I can be a very good rpger.

This is a completely different forums, but not so different from Vallum. Using the same concept as an entire world shoved into a bunch of forums, I've managed to create Legends of Endia.

Anyof you remember my failures in creating and continuing Frost Mountains? Well Legend of Endia includes Frost Mountains, but not the plot itself, instead, it includes FM and the entire world FM is set in. Just newly made, we need some members, who many have some suggestions we would be glad to listen to.

We have a main forums for community, character sign ups, classified, and newcomers. We got the Lore Section about Endia, its history, its people, its classes, its races, its kingdoms, its lands, everything! We got Landmarks of Endia, the Frost Mountains, the Kruga Desert, the Tandora Jungles, the Great sea, and the Dragon Mountain, so many places to go to. We got six Kingdoms and more places inside them for you to have fun in. There's Gargukia, Visigothia, Tul'Niras, Malkier, Guardia, and Lonia, the Kingdoms of Endia. We also have Temples for the various Gods to grant their worshippers a personal favor or whatever. We have off topic forums such as suggestions, chat, fanart/fanfic, a place to flame someone freely unless its a serious flame, a place to spam all you want, a place to make a free rpg set anywhere else than Endia, and a place for RPBs. RPB? Role-Player Battles, you create a character and battle another member's character and see who's the best Battler of all! its a world inside a world. Best of all, you're not limited to being a warrior or wizard or thief or whatever. You can also pursue your own life inside Endia, such as a blacksmith, a bountyhunter, a merchant, even be a lord of a land under one of the main Kingdoms. Your only limitationsz is what you cant do, and well... in Legends of Endia, there's not much you cant do...

Okay, I would edit my last post but it won't let me for some reason.

I would actually, after seeing the Starcraft story on this forum, prefer to play a Starcraft free-form RPG. I really like the whole "sci-fi" thing and I think I would probably have more fun with a Starcraft character.

Also, I have a revolutionary idea (Please don't flame me, it's just an idea). Instead of calling games like WoW and Everquest MMORPG's (Massively Multiplayer Role Playing Games), I will from now on call them WG's (World Games). It seems to fit the game type better and is MUCH easier to say. If you like the term, spread it around. I'm really tired of saying "Massively Multiplayer Online RPG" or even "MMORPG" and I think "World Game" is more accurate anyway.

If anyone is interested in playing a Starcraft RPG, I am perfectly willing to make up a story-starter and moderate it. Basically, I'll run one if people will play.

Actually, I was thinking about something more like the Starcraft Story (I think it's on this forum, but if it isn't it's on the FanFic one) Choose a charcter, equipment, skills, etc. I'm working on a Combat Engineer tpye character (I even designed a custom suit for him) and would like to play an RPG with him in it.

I tend to like the personal-level ground-based combat (Army infantry style) more than Navy or Air Force or even Army cavalry/artillery style. From what I've seen, a few good players can make a really cool Starcraft story based around personal-level combat. You really should see that story. It's called "Curse of Brutalis" or something. It went on for a while and then died.

Indeed a fine story it was. It was on these boards alright. Nio and I both participated in it. It could have gone much further, but the massive confusion that arose at a certain point killed it for me unfortunately. I usually don’t let an RPG die that easily, and in combination with Nio we could have kept it up endlessly me thinks :D

If anyone is interested I'm scouring forums for creative roleplayers with time on their hands to help create and moderate a new RP forum that I'm currently making.

For those of you unfamiliar to Roleplaying forums they are essentially the same as normal text-based RPG's except after submitting a character you are free to wander through a world (each section within the world is a different forum) and do as you wish; gaining wealth, fame, power, friendship or whatever else you seek.

So what sets my RP forum apart from others?

- Each character has attributes that define your character, affecting everything from their health points and spell damage to their invisibility detection and ability to pick locks.
- Features a morale system where you must keep your character content by staying true to your character's personality.
- Features an allegiance system where you can gain a reputation for being a champion of your kingdom and a bastion of hope, or a traitorous rogue to be killed on sight.
- Each character can get a profession to earn themselves money along with other skills that the trade gives.
- Each character has their own racial advantages and disadvantages along with special attacks to be learnt and used.
- Character's can find or buy new armour and weapons, get enchantments for them and also repair armour when it becomes damaged.
- Comprehensive item database including charms, potions, disguises, trophies and more.
- Actually see your character in relation to the world and those that populate it on a game board.
- Over 15 different type of terrain allow for tactical battles and route planning.
- Features an in-depth lore section that anyone can add to whilst also providing a wealth of information about kingdoms, races, classes, beasts and occupations for players.
- Players can also create journals, books, poems and songs about the world to be compiled in the lore section.
- To be twelve human kingdoms each with their own morals, religions, flags, military, allies, enemies, natural resources, trade, laws, traditions and more.

That's all I can think of on the spot, but this could be big providing I have sufficient help. People are welcomed to sign up on the forums (though the world has not been created yet) and help give direct input to the creation of the world.

The first SC rp didn't go so well... it was my first time being a gm anyway. Basically, the plot was a little confusing, some people got mixed up in the story and it ended up with nearly nobody knowing what was going on.

Well make a cracking character sheet then, and I doubt he'll be able to refuse you a place. Afterall it could use an injection of life seeing as there are only three of us in at the moment - not exactly the best circumstances for acheiving an active RP seeing as some of us aren't that active (I'm "supposed" to be working on my stat-RP forum). But, I like how it's going and it seems to have survived the initial make-or-break bit where you see if people make continual posts, ensuring activeness if they do, yet obviously destroying the thread if they don't.

PS: what anthropomorphic races can everyone think of? Preferably, a cross between a mammal and a human, along the lines of a centaur etc. only weirder. So far I think half-bat half-human would be cool, and dolphin men would be interesting as well. Just some thoughts for races to add to my RP forum (that will probably never reach completion).

I'm afraid for various reasons, both including real life and roleplaying obligations, that I won't be able to continue posting in the thread. I understand what it is like to see your RPG start to lose interest, since the very thing happened to me as you will know, and for that I apologise for my absence. It's just something you have to accept though since it is rare for an RPG to ever reach an ending.

Seeing that we could use some more activity on this forum, I think we should create a thread dedicated to letting new people introduce themselves, and allow us to help answer any questions they have about text-based or WoW roleplaying. These forums could also use some moderation, which I wouldn't mind doing if it benefits the community.
