I like playing with scandinavish/danish/dutch/english/irish and an occasional polish. They can at least communicate with others than their own language. There are exceptions of course. I believe that's why many english folks play on usa servers?

French and germans will have their own servers.

That leaves us (I am dutch) with scandianavian, brittish, belgium an occasional Pollish and not to forget Spanish (who i have really come to like in DAoC) and the other lost poeple out of eastern europe (And maybe Mad_Mat from Israell)

Do they get their own servers? I thought they only got their own language. Are you sure? Don't think there will be enough people from the benelux or scandinavia to fill up a server.

every second person I know who has pc, will play wow... and i know A LOT of people.... so I don't think we will have any problems with filling up the server...

So did anyone figure out how long it will take before we actually are playing the beta? I know you can't predict, but there might be someone who can figure out how long every phase took the last time. They anounced the sign-ups now, how long did we wait for the actual sign-up? After that it was roughly 5-6 weeks before the client was ready for download...

Maybe second week of August would be a good guess?

Why are we, the Dutch people, with as few as we are, so present in the Gaming Community? I feel I'm part of a great nation :clap: There's no doubt we're going to rule the N-W European server.

Anyway, I'm pure Dutch, for at least 3 or 4 generations back, and I always spell it 'frikandel', like I pronounce it. I always thought 'Frikadel' was used in Belgium :lol: Good idea for a Guild though.

Ok, about the soccer game... I'm not that big a fan, but I watched the game from time to time, especially the last ten minutes or so. And in that period we owned you Germans. But to be honest, I had predicted we were going to lose the game, 2-1 for Germany... with 1-1 I think we did very well in the end :winner:

I always switch to English in-game, even when playing with other Dutch people. I just think it's a great language, and people who regard English as a vastly inferior language (mostly Germans and Frenchies)... well there are no words for what I think of them. And if there were, they wouldn't understand them anyway.

As do i...I like dutch especially with musik (we have some great rock bands that only sing dutch: Nits, De Dijk, Bluf, rowen heze) but when i am playing online games, its english, even when among dutch players in a dutch guild. tough i prefer international guilds more then entirely dutch guilds.

I was in a Mostly Danish guild when trying Horizons (Valhalla) for a short time, but all these people speaking Danish in guildchat, even knowing that there where ceveral people in the guild that could not understand it, nerfed my guild experience.

So I would say we make "The Frikadell Squad" an international guild.

As goes for scandianavian languages, if you write read and speak, dutch english and german......but to understand the spoken word in Danish is something really different.

Don't get me started on that ****ing ref again! I don't care about the czechs, they played really well and made the game very exciting. But there were two penalties we should've got and that 2nd red card was totally ****ing unnessesary! ****ing Referee.

It was one of the nicest games of the tourney so far yes. The Dutchish played great the first half, but the 2nd half was a bit weak. Some very weird decisions by the coach (robbens did play great) (van der vaart!?) Oh well.

And what about calling the clan just "Frikadel"? That way you are a frikadel, instead of being a member of 'the squad'. Superb.

Unfortunately you could. There´s no difference between languages codes as it is for instance with DVDs AFAIK. So it shouldn´t be any problem ...

I have been so busy at work, I haven't had any time to start our guildpage, or even worst i didn't even get time to start working on it. (we are upgrading our Windows servers to Server 2003 here in our mainoffice, SO iw ork late every night)
