View Full Version : Bug with minning

Am I the only one who gets stuck in minning all the freaking time? It's starting to piss me off. I go to mine a node, the bar fills up at the bottom, but the loot window never appears... then I get stuck kneeling down in loot mode, but I can run around and kill stuff and things, but I can't loot them either. it seems the only way to fix it is to log out and back in again :/
Anyone got a better solution? I do /bug every time it happens...

This happens also when you loot bodies sometimes too.
There are a few veins/deposits that are bugged, but mostly you "bug" yourself by trying to mine while you do other things (look at the map, open your inventory, touch other things). Try mining and not doing anything else and see if it cuts down on it.
Obviously, if you touch a mine and bug yourself ... logout ... touch the vein again and bug yourself again ... DO NOT touch that vein again :)

I was trying to post a message on the WoW Technical Board when the Forum Server went down. :grrr: So far, it has happened to me at three different places.
I've found that it only happens at certain veins. I'm on the Suramar server and the vein at the Tower of Azora in the Elwynn Forest is one place. Also, veins in Dun Morogh at the North Gate Pass and near the Ranch.
I've complained about this during the game several times but no one comes by to help.

It only happens with copper, so its not a big deal. Besides, some copper veins spawn double also - it balances out. If you loot a mob, or mine a working vein after you become bugged, it usually fixes it.

Yes, it happens to me also. I have to log out and back in or I just skate about bent down. There's a copper mine on the left hand set of mountains outside orgrimmar that does it every time so I bypass that one now.

It doesn't only happens with mining.
I have a Tauren Shammy/herbalist/alchemist and I got stucked in that kneeling position every now and than while plucking flowers. (Can you picture that: a big boy laying on his knees, ass up, with a flower in his hand and unable to get up; anything could happen OMG!)
Anyway, you can get un-stuck by moving (yes you can move in kneeling position) to the next herb which will un-stuck you. It works with me like that though.
There is also a bugged keg just south of Camp Taurajo, Barrens.

There's also nodes in Duskwood and one in between Steelgrille Depot and IF that have this problem. Just don't touch them again once you ID them. I've /bug reported all of them long ago (as well as the anvil in Ratchet), but nothing ever seems to get fixed by blizzard.

/bug isn't used anymore and hasn't been for many months as far as I know. You have to report it in the bug forum.

It still works in game though as I use it all the time. Do you mean they don't read these reports anymore? Doesn't seem to make sense to me as I'll never report a bug if I have to leave the game to do it. And the /bug also reports your exact location assisting blizz in fixing the bug. Can't see why they'd abandon this.

Well, using the forum may not be correct. I've read several posts by Blizzard saying the /bug feature would be removed. Of course I can't find any now, but what I can find is posts saying you should contact a GM to report a bug.
Edit: Oh yeah, here it is:
What about the /bug and /suggest commands in-game?
Those commands are no longer supported and will be removed in a later patch.
