Does anyone know the formula to figure out the chance to get a critical hit on spells? Basically I would like to know how much I am really gaining for each point of Int, and what trade-offs I should be willing to make to maximize damage. Thanks to anyone who can help figure this out.

The most stated formula i've heard is that +100 to int is equal to +1% chance to crit.
What I don't know is if there is some base chance to crit for every character apart of intelligence bonus.

I think the best way to really know is to use Cosmos and the DPS-meter. Keep casting lots of spells, and when you have casted like 1000 check your %crit.

I know someone actually tried that with different # of int to get different % crit, but I can't find who =/

Base spell crit is 3% and you get one more percent for every 100 int.

My advice, don't chase crit spell chance over int points. Use +spell crit gear. : )

Combatstats will show your actual crit percentages for all spells.

Short answer: no. 100 int per %crit is incorret.

We have a little better data from a topic that's just down the page.
