Changing from gnomish to goblin engineering

I decided to go for gnomish engineering but it seems not to be that good. So i wonder if there´s a possibility to switch from gnomish to goblin engineering.

If its possible how can I do it?

Only way I know of is to drop eng completely and start over. That would cost you a good penny.


I went goblin and its not all the great either. It seems all the really good stuff is drops anyways and you can learn that either way.

theres also a membership time. what about that?

Once you pick goblin or gnomish you are stuck with it. I am not sure what will happen if you destroy the card after the time has ran out. Mine is sitting in my bank in case some new recipes are put out for goblin.

Well from what I read on this website it listed the different things you could make as an engineer and it also stated what you could make as either a gnome or goblin engineer. I also saw that it said that you keep your membership of either gnome or goblin engineering you got your card but it said it was for two weeks and that you had to re-new the membership. This may imply that you are able to change from gnome to goblin though I'm not sure how accurate it is.

There is no switching from one to the other - its for the life of the character(unless Blizzard allows or creates a way to switch at some future date) as it said in the quest when you decided to go one way or the other.

Check the main WoW boards, its been tried by destroying the card, dropping engineering and releveling, etc - all without success.

You were warned like 400 times during the quest saying once you go a certain way there is no way to go back. Maybe that gives you a clue?
