I had mining + skinning all the way from lvl 1 and made tons of money from it, now i got epic mount, so I recently dropped skinning for blacksmithing and got the fear immune trinket.

Now I'm thinking about dropping mining for engineering, I want to know if it is worth it?
what are some nice engineering stuff that would be usefull in pvp, battleground?

thank you

The bad thing about dropping mining is that you'd have to buy all the metal you need for engineering. There are some nice things in the upper levels of the skill, especially if you like toys ( Gnomish Battle Chicken comes to mind...Great fun!)...but for the most part, it's a big money sink since you can only sell most of the stuff to other engineers to use.

alright,thanks for the input mate,

i was planing to store about 300bars of each type in new created characters before i drop mining..else i have to buy it, my second character is gonna be mining + enchanting anyway..

i just want my rogue to be optimum for pvp, right now i can say that the fear immune trinket is worth every copper i spent on it, i beat priests as easy as hell, most of them were like wtf..fear not working??

btw, anyone know how good that "arcanite dragon toy" is?

Acranite dragonling - as I read on thottbot.com it's pretty good firepower once per hour, and if you don't care about the cost then it's a good thing to have.
How do u get that fear immune trinket and how does it work? I might try the same thing...

well, blacksmith got a quest for the fear immune trinket, it requires blacksmith 225 to use, so its not too hard to get.

basically, its as good as wotf, but it doesnt break fear, it breaks stealth when used, but thats not a problem, you open with CS and then activate it

it has 10 mins cooldown though, but still darn good.
I'm as overpowered against priest/warlock as UD rogue and guess what, most priest/warlock dont know/expect this, so they are kinda shocked when they come out of stun bashing fear button , but we still stand there pounding them..^^

Hmm gonna be wierd having engineering without mining though, gonna have to stock on quite a lot and make careful calculations, which will become pointless when patches add more recieps.

Hmm well as long as you keep a fair amount of metal around and don't mind paying for it you should be fine, but it might be quite a pain...
