RPG ENTHUSIASTS HEED MY CALL!
Got yer attention? Good. This thread is just to check if anyone would be interested in sparking up an indepth serious rpg. As this is my first rpg I've tried to start, I'm gonna rely heavily on others for ideas to get it going.
This is going to be set in the warcraft universe, after the current storyline more likely than not.
I would like any writers that have at least passing familiarity with the words 'plot' and 'realistic'. Not to be rude, but some very good rpgs that I've browsed through have been toppled over by inept writers, who determinedly posted wild, erratic things that made little sense.
This is not to say I wouldn't forgive you if your post doesn't win nobel prize or whatever.
Thoughts, thoughts. The storyline is going to be dependant on what characters we get, but it would be great to have versatile characters. As tempting as it is to have demi-god demon hunter nightelf with flaming swords from the abyss, please restrain yourself. Try for more interesting characters, that posters will enjoy getting to know and write with, I've seen a few good examples. If I deem a poster worthy, I may allow him to choose something really fun, but if you try to be some sort of demon warlock or god without my permission, I shall hunt you down and cut off your betraying hands.
Interesting characters doesn't necessarily have to mean erratic gnomes with a penchant for demolitions though they are certainly welcome too, just... not in great numbers; I find the more interesting characters are quite average sort of ones, usually with something that disadvantages them. A crippled old pirate, a n aspiring blacksmith, a merchant or, my personal favourite, a small undernourished street thief. But if you feel that your skill is not adequate, or your stamina is not up to being interesting and inventinve, you are perfectly welcome to have your cool hunters and warlocks and what nots. But it would really please me to see some writers work with the ordinary chaps, but not if you don't enjoy it.
In this RPG I will be grand Dungeon master overlord supreme power blah blah blah, something I'm sure you are all familiar with. I will have one personal character that I can play with, (street thief, don't steal him), and of course control NPC's environment general rady rady raa.
However, one major drawback, I don't know D & D calculations, so that will have to be worked out, maybe I direct storyline, someone else does calc.
If however you would rather simply do a story instead of dicing and d & ding or whatever, that is completely up to whoever posts here.
So, rundown.
Me, DM.
You, characters.
World, Warcraft.
Anyone whose interest is in the least bit perked, please respond, I'm not a half-bad writer. :D

Nice to see someone that looks like they have an idea of what they are doing
I'b be interested in anything to put life into these old boards. Though I must admit that I am busy alot of the time and may have a hard time posting regularly

I find it funny that despite being a roleplayer on both these and the warcraft 3 forums that I've never actually been in a warcraft rpg so, yeah, I'd be happy to give it a go, although I'm not familiar with D & D.

Sweet as! Two excellent writers already. Didn't expect a response so quickly.
Alrighty, while we wait for maybe a few more posters, feel free to make any starting suggestions, I want this to be an RPG to enjoy.
And although I would like to claim I have an idea what I'm doing Nio, we'll wait till I start dming to decide that.
Anyway, ideas on starting places, everyone centered around a big city, a campfire in the woods, maybe a general ide like a massive undead incursion from the east encroaching upon harrowed lands...
Whatever, y'know?
Oh and Apollo, you and me got something in common, I have little or no real rpg experience myself.

I'm familiar with DnD but not with the Warcraft add-on. Can anyone run some basics for me? I've heard of a "Runemaster" class, I'd like to play this above all. If anyone can give me an excerpt from the rules I'd really appreciate it.
And I'm very interested in joining this campaign, will we do it through this msg board? irc? aim? Just let me know. My email address is loneownz@gmail.com.
Thanks!

Hi :) I'd like to take part too. I don't have any idea of what kind of character I'd play, but I can come up with something. You can find some of my earlier rp-posts from the early Alliance, where I was Lunarc the dwarf and his pet bear Pint

Dude? Don't you remember me? I think you skipped out almost as I started, I was the half-witted imp. Far as I'm concerned you're welcome three times over.
Anyway, that's a point, all character sheets should be offered up. Take care when you write your character history, my opinion of you shall be 80% influenced by what you write there. I might fall head over heels in love with your character, which means you're pretty much set. Or you risk the social fallout that so many endure, shunned and outcast from the internet society.
Ways to do this is a: be a writer with no sense of etiquitte(manners) b: be a better writer than me(jokes) c:be funnier than me(unsurprisingly, not hard).
So... Good luck, no pressure.
I'm am extremely forgiving of writers that feel they aren't up to standard in anyway, that is the whole idea of these forums for me, as long as you've got plot everyone (glares around the room) shall endeavor to help you.
This thread will probably be used for any off-topic discussions necessary.
Oh yeah, btw, this shall be a forum story, I refuse to do IRC and all that, partially because the majority of people are more comfortable with forums, partially because I want you to have time to write the posts you are proud of, but mostly and most importantly, because I said so! Mwahaha, dungeon master power coursing through my veins! Ahem... errrrr.
Actually to be honest, its easier because I'm not familiar with DnD myself, if you want to do DnD stats etc we'll have to work something out, as I think I've mentioned.
Any other questions? Well chew on them. Or if you feel that you can no longer bear the pressure of so many unanswered questions, then please feel free to regurgitate them here to your hearts content.
I shall endeavor to answer them as best as mortally possible, yawn... goodnight.

So how are we doing this. The character sheets I mean. I have the history part but what about stats? I can usually go with any type of ruleset if I know whats going on. Classes allowed? Races allowed? Starting with or without items or GM giving us starting equipment? Let me know pretty much the basic rules if you can.

I agree with Tyeral
I would love to be part of this. but!
I need a date and time (more or less excact, just so I can plan) and I need to know which faction this is concerning and what characters are allowed.
Or I will be Bobborassimus (or just Bob), the demented lightning lizard. :uhhuh:
I have little to no experience with D&D, but those who kno me would call me crazy and a good writer....
So, gimme something to start with, and an assumed date of the thing....
One more thing: I live in Europe...don't know if that'll be a problem. It might be if you start the thing early saturday morning....

Ah! Of course, how forgetful of me.
TIMELINE: I was thinking that the timeline would be somewhere after known warcraft history, WC III: Frozen Throne. So clean slate after that. This gives us more freedom in deciding how the world forms in the aftermath (well lets me decide, I s'pose).
PLACE:The place will originate in a small thieves town, the leftovers of society, semi-isolated in errrr... Ashenvale forest? All races are equally welcome there, because no-one is welcome, its the give and take of free society with the help of a knife.(Anyone read Shannara series?)
Hmmm... I should say all mortal humanish races are tolerated, simply because you are tolerated on the basis of how well you defend yourself.
No undead, no bloated acidic sludges with party hats.
The town shall be based on how you view it, but don't try to write its history, leave the 3rd person stuff mostly to me, if u have an idea, or have something you feel is necessary for your character, pm me and I'll do my best.
Here is basic char sheet.
Race: Anything you want.
Name: I'll let you decide.
Age: Errr, unless you're like a gnat or something I'd guess at least one.
Class: Anything you want, but we'll hold it against you.
Description: Dark, tall and handsome is already taken.
History: Your personal history, don't need no grandmothers cluttering the scene, well maybe a little.
Skills and spells: Particular talents, maybe you are a natural acrobat, or a dextrous thief, specifics dude, specifics.
Equipment: See below.
Bias: E.g hates orcs, likes purple chicks, or distrusts Gnome engineering etc etc...
Dudes (and dudettes if any are present), we should have the Grand opening within the week tops. That's not rushing anyone?
Demented lightning lizard? Classy, sounds original, but it doesn't do much for first dates. I suggest something more socially friendly, shopping for groceries could get nasty otherwise.
Actually though, that'd be pretty cool if you pull it off, you planning to be a pet, or a sort of straying animal that takes a fancy to someone? Ball's in your court. Just if you are going to be a demented lizard, you will have to write like one. Huge lumbering beast guardian, with half its original brain, how much more talent for trouble d'ya need? Sounds fun.
I'm not sure if I want to go into strength dexterity sort of things other than a reference, I want everyone to be pretty much at the same relative stage, squire, fledging mage, servant of the dark arts.
And I wouldn't worry Azagal, I only get up at about 11 anyway on saturdays.
EQUIPMENT: Ah-ha. This is where I have the power.
In this world I control the equipment. You will give me a character sheet, and if approved, I will PM you giving you your equipment. DO NOT reveal your equipment to other players unless done so via an in-game agreement (plot), this gives you some form of privacy and advantage if attacked by another player. You will not be able to cheat because I will have records of every item you do and do not have.
JOBS: Strange as this sounds it's real. There will be times when you will need new equipment, or repairing of old ones. This might be solved be one of your party, or you may need MONEY. You can approach any NPC of your choice an ask for a job or an apprenticeship blah blah. I will take it from there. You will have to do little except wait for me to PM you telling you that you have recieved X money, and have become more skilled at Y, provided of course you show up to work.
When you buy things I shall also regulate prices.
E.g, 'I asked the vendor for a new pair of socks'
Vendor says 'Socks= 2 silver 6 copper' etc.
Transactions may take place in a seperate thread, we'll see what happens. You realise of course that all of this is up for discussion and in no way will I enforce you to play rules that you don't enjoy.

Aye, I remember you, but I weren't sure whether you remember me, since, like you said, I left about the same time as you arrived :)
I'm currently playing with thoughts of old and cranky human hunter (not a WoW hunter with pets and arcane shots, but rather just a guy who gets his living by hunting with traps and such) and a Don Quijotish gnome warrior :D.

hmmm.....I miight have to reconsider Bob.....wouldn't be much more than grunts and occasional trampling and roasting of various players and alndmarks, as well as loud rear noises due to diarrea (or how the blip thats spelled...)
plus the love for gnomes it has.....roasted gnomes in particular...
nah.....might have to get a little more realistic.....
Name: Zed Leperdin
Race: Goblin
Age: 'round 20 I guess...how old do goblins get?
Class: Tinker ^_^
Description: Small, green and with a nasty attitude
History: Zed sold his grandma at the age of 12 (Zed, not the grandma) to afford the newest top notch scredriver, which he then broke trying to dismantle his grandpas telescope.
Zed has always been bit of a rascal, you could never count on him on anything. Do him a favor, and he makes sure you'll regret it. Refuse to do him a favor, and he will make sure you die.
Zed has got his uses though, as he is very fond of living, he CAN be threatened to assist with his engineering skillz (rather good, rather expensive). As said, he is very fond of living, and likes to hide behind mercenaries and bullies. He's got the shady contacts and the funds, although sometimes he gets into trouble with the shady dealers. That is why he has come to Ashenvale (?)
Skills and spells: High engineering skills, and very good at convincing others to help him
Equipment: you tell me, big boss
Biases: Anyone is his friend, as long as they do what he demands.
Hope that is viable......should be fun playing this creepy sneaker.....
otherwise, I'm still kinda hooked on Bobborassimus......

I just checked in here after who knows how long and to my surprise this caught my eye. Consider me strongly interested and if my test goes well I'll have a sign up for you tommorrow or Friday.
Good luck with this. Warcraft RPGs can be harder than they seem, but are often quite fun.

Hehe. Goblin sounds like competition for my fav character, nice to know you got originality.
And nice to know you remember me Blackmoon, your character also had plenty of flavour and persona as I recall, that RPG's still going by the way.
And dude, I'm hoping that through the turbulent times that are to come, through trials and harships, tests of faith and character, you will grow to hate me, and nurture that special bond growing between your characters.
As Monkey King pointed out, RPG's can be quite difficult to direct when you have a dozen different characters that each have their own world-shaking agenda, but I s'pose that's what makes it fun.
By the way Goblin's good idea, and I'll accept it as it is, but for the sake of others you might want to think about specifics, timeline, tidy it up or whatever, that'll make it easier to read and remember, but that's up to you.
WOW hunter type Blackmoon? Nice choice, look at my Tide of Dragonfire if you want to see my bias in that particular 'class', rough and ready outdoors char is it? Dunno what a Don quisshy is though.
And note, you will all have to wait till I have everyones char sheets before I hand out equipment, so I can balance one off another sorta thing.
And que, is everyone okay with the money thing? I just thought it would be effective in limiting a person's ability to get superfied armour and weapons.
Please note I will take into acount all facets of your personality, e.g, the goblin has a high barter skill likely, so will get good deals relative to others.
Rolling, rolling, rolling. I so pleased at the responses here, I nabbed a few first posters too.

Course, dude, we wouldn't wanna start w/out you, and it'll give others some time too. I'm kinda sick anyway, with 7 out of 8 meningitis symptoms, and I'm proud of the fact that I still got through the last day of school without collapsing.
(Horde of students knocking on my door shivering violently)
And as for Runemaster, I don't believe I know that class. If it's sumthin wanna do then feel free to post a char sheet, and I'll look it over. Please bear in mind that I may impose restrictions,( usually by some in-game force) and if you want to play you'll have to accept them, because I'll not tolerate you upsetting other players fun. Just write down what exactly it is, even some background history of the class if you know it.
Note, I check these forums quite regularly, post your sheets with supreme confidence for you may find a post with your name on it the very next day. :)
Errr, nother que, where's a forest/ place with trees that is fairly isolated, yet is within reach of a nearby city/ prosperous town?

Ok, lets see. This might be a bit long, but hey... :p
Remnas (just Remnas)
Race: Human
Age: He has stopped counting few decades ago. “Too old”, he says when asked.
Class: Hunter (semi-retired)
Description: Very tall and very bulky. He used to be very muscular, but once he settled down his muscles have been slowly vanishing and fat slowly appearing. He still packs enough punch to show the young rascals who’s the boss though. Has long, almost completely grey hair and beard.
Personality: Very stubborn and very proud man, who never shares his grief or pain, never complains and never ever admits that he can’t do something (as long as it is something he thinks he should be able to do) or that he made a mistake. He distrusts everyone and everything and expecially that which he doesn’t understand (any type of magic and technology). He believes that wheel and fire are the only truly important innovations and that everything beyond those is just plain laziness. “When I was at your age, I....”
History: Remnas’ father and mother were both explorers and adventurers. All their life had they journeyed across the world and had endless lust for traveling in their veins. Once they decided to settle down and start a family. Remnas was the result of their decision. However, as years passed the lust for wandering grew in both of them. When Remnas was 8 years old they left him to live with his uncle and continued their restless life which they thought to have left behind. Remnas however escaped and was convinced to seek out his parents and show them how he could join them on their journey.
Remnas didn’t get far though and tired of walking he decided to rest a while in a shady forest. When he woke up he was greeted by ugly, dog-like face staring at him. Group of gnolls had found him. He paniced, but remembered what his parents had taught him about fighting. He grabbed his little dagger and with pure luck he managed to thrust it deep in the eye of the surprised gnoll-leader who had been inspecting him. The awestruckt gnolls stared with their mouth wide open while their leader was slain by an 8 year old human child.
The gnolls took Remnas as one of their own, impressed by his courage and skill. So it was that Remnas grew among gnolls. He learned many things from them, but did not forget what his parents had taught him. From the gnolls he learned the trade of a hunter and a scout. He learned how to move in the wilds, how to track his prey and trap it. Still he had the same wanderlust in his veins as his parents did. At the age of 17 he left the gnolls and headed out to seek adventures in the world.
Years passed and Remnas grew older. His journeys were many and I will not write them here. After about half a century of traveling, he settled in a small town in Ashenvale. There he makes his living as a woodworker, spending his days dreaming of someday heading out on his last journey. Every passing day his desire to travel grows stronger, yet every passing day his love for having a place to call home grows deeper. He knows he has to leave soon, or he will die in his home without ever feeling the freedom of adventuring again.
Skills: Very skilled outdoorsman. His senses are getting duller and he ain’t in as good a shape as before, but he has years and years of experience
Talented woodworker. At age of 22-26 Remnas traveled with a traveling salesman, who crafted and sold various items made of wood. During these times, Remnas learned the trade of a woodworker
Skilled intrumentalist. After parting ways with the woodworker, Remnas joined a wandering band of actors. He made friends with the instrumentalist of the group and he taught Remnas the art of playing. Remnas mostly plays instrument such as this (http://www.soitinrakentajatamf.fi/kuvat/11kperiso.JPG) which he has made by himself
Very bad with ranged weapons. Thought I’d mention this here too. Although bows are typically weapons of a hunter, Remnas has never used any of those. He hunts by trapping mostly.
Needs glasses to see close well enough to -for example- read :D. This is something he'd never let anyone know.
Equipment: You’re the boss, but I’d like to point that Remnas prefers simple, sturdy staff over fancier weaponry.
Bias: As said, distrusts everyone. Although he’s human, he doesn’t consider himself to be part of Alliance or anything. He mostly regards humans as pansies who prefer to hide inside tons of steel rather than fighting fairly. He thinks old orcs (demon influenced ones) were slaves and new orcs believe in ideal of honor too much. He thinks dwarves are too greedy and that gnomes and goblins are just plain untrustworthy. He thinks that night elves are way too arrogant because they think they need to protect nature. Remnas believes that nature is superior force and needs no “protection”. He thinks taurens are overly peaceful and fail to see the cruel part of nature. Undead he just despises for no apparent reason (or maybe very apparent). He thinks trolls are just hideous.
Remnas also hates any kind of technology and any kind of magic (this includes for example magic of paladins too). Also should be noted that he has negative attitude towards anyone who is younger than himself. And he counts most of the young looking night elves as younger too, even though they might be well over ten times his age.

Near Alliance, Kalimdor preferably, I think Azeroth is pretty much undead territory ain't it?
Nice char blackmoon, I like to see when people go for the interesting characters instead of the almighty god-like ones.
Plenty of depth and personality and should provide plenty of conflict with other characters, just remember that he should start his story in the RPG pretty much in the thieves town.
Thanks for the skills details too, they make it much easier to work with.

A few things I'd like to point out while I think of them.
The name of the town is officially dubbed (drum roll) 'the nest' the head 'bully-boy' of the town just happens to be 'the crow', catchy no? He's not an official mayor as such, as no term could be applied to a place like 'the nest' , but he pretty much calls the shots with his underlings. I'll reveal other specifics after.
Ah, if anyone is keen on being undead or something like that, I won't stop them, but you'll have to deal with the consequences, I can claim no responsibility if you find your rotted hide decorated all over the nearby trees when you wake up.
So far, the char sheets I have recieved are,
Zed Leperdin by Azagal,
Remnas by Blackmoon.
Still pending are ones from Nio, Tyreral (if playing), possibly a few others too.
I need at least five before posting equip and starting the rpg. Please be aware that the equip I send you can be detracted from, you can throw away things that you feel are unecessary and don't go with your character, however you cannot add things. So it might help if you mention if your character is flamboyant or not.
I'm guessing goblin is more appreciative of wealth if it can be turned to his advantage.
Likewise, hunter dude seems to be a fairly spartan sort, I doubt he'd be much interested in the latest perfume (though you never know).
Oh! My bad, I guess I also have to post a char sheet, I know that Dm's aren't s'posed to play the game, but that'd just be cruel to me wouldn't it.
Note, your characters are susceptible to such things as infection, disease and death by the way, but no-one may proclaim a player dead except me or the victim. And I am no exception to death btw.
Of course we don't want your character to permanently die, but you'll have to trust I'll take good care of it.
Anyway,
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name: Talon
Age: 14
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Class: Rogue
Physical Description: A slight boy, with dark brown hair, and warm brown eyes. He isn't in very good shape, although he is as tall as any other boy his age, his circumstances have forced him to begging and thievery, and he has become significantly under-nourished.
Personality: A smile always hovers about his lips as if he enjoys some private joke, and on first appearances he seems to be a bright open-hearted lad, always laughing or chatting; but when you turn away his eyes dims and his expression grows dark, and his smile becomes sardonic. He was always a quick lad, and he is free with disparaging comments and sarcastic remarks. But his one redeeming quality is his boyish charm, for some reason, every woman in the world instinctively sigh and shake her head. And when the world hurts him a little less than usual, he can soon brighten a dreary room with boyish exuberance and laughing personality.
Most of the time he appears docile, but rouse his curiosity or his ire, and nothing will stop him. On the whole, he is a rather confused lad that like so many other unfortunates, feels that he owes the world nothing.
Skills: He has a peculiar mix of skills, one is his uncanny ability at finding traps and unusual things. Also you'll not likely find anyone more skilled at stealth through town or woods than he is.
Good skill at tracking.
Excellent skill at survival.
Excellent skill at stealth.
Good skill with lock picking, and pick pocketing.
High skill at barter/charm.
Very Low health. (a good sneeze would take him out)
Little lore.
He is skilled with picking locks, and people's pockets.
Equipment: Naught but a small dagger and the ragged clothes on his back.
History: Tal spent most of his life in the grubby little town known to its inhabitants only as 'the nest', but he can occasionally be found wandering the outside forest, heedless of wolves and other animals that prowl.
Due to unfortunate circumstances that are no less tragic for it being common in that town, Tal has been bereft of his parents, but Tal has been spared any memory of them.
As such he has grown up not in the best of places, and his many mischievious pranks, and many under-the-table dealings with various thieves, has made him unpopular with many thieves. His luck so far in having not met an untimely end, many jealous thieves attest to a higher power taking a hand in his fate.
Growing up in such an environment has made him very self-reliant, and a sneaky charmer besides.
Be careful when this wounded young lad reaches out to you, he's probably just trying to filch your wallet.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry if it seems that my guy has too many high end skills, but it was necessary to balance his frail condition. (He's fourteen besides). He's not exactly a main party character anyways, it wouldn't be in my best interests to interact overly much with your characters.
He's just another force moving through the world.
Woah oh, just found out, I'm s'posed to spend this week with my nana starting from tomorrow.
Well, you guys all have a week, so take your time with your characters, think of things that you can develope with your chars to make an enjoyable rpg.
Everyone loves to see a character develope.
Um, um, um, anything else I can think of?
Tyreral, do you have ur history all worked out?
Any really urgent questions, shoot them quick, or you'll have to stew over them for a while, I would like to stress that I am quite sorry for this upset, but hey, I'll forgive you too.
One last thing, as you may have noticed, I have absolutely no regard for a humans capacity for repetitiveness, but I'd like to reiterate that I do like to post stuff, info, any clarification that you guys want, so shoot whatever comes out your nose, no matter how messy, and I'll scrape out some answers. (By the way, no one is to quote that last bit :p )

got another idea here......choose whichever you like
Name: Zal'Jifa (Zal from her troll name "Erfir'Zal" and Jifa from her human name "Jifa")
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Race: Troll
Class: warrior/mage
Phys. Desc: Light blue-ish skin, she only just began gaining "tan". Her tusks are also just now beginning to grow. She is skinny, yet strong. Her hair is long and white and compliments the rest of her in the most fabulous way. She almost always paints her face, to look like a human (explanation coming up) but when she's wandering through horde teritory, she wears her natural colour. Those who meet her wouldn't suspect that she's a troll, only if they get too close will they know (it's in her kiisss, thats where it is!). She is tall and with a kind face. Very agile, very graceful, but only when no one is watching her. Otherwise she tends to be a bit clumsy.
Zal is a bit shy, and she really doesn't feel comfortable anywhere. She doesn't know where she belongs and walks in solitude most of the time. Even when she finds companions, will she be walking behind them, only speaking when she is asked, and not saying more than neccesary.
Although born with magic in her veins, Zal cannot yet fully control her powers. She lacks self-esteem and that affects her spellcasting. Sometimes the spell has no effect, sometimes it's the wrong spell, sometimes it backfires and sometimes, when she gets agitated or is in a tight spot, she can render an entire forest desolate. The kid has power, but she is not in control of it. Thus, she often tends to do melee fighting instead, as she has been trained as a warrior from the early years.
Skills: Low skill in magiks, but her power grows with her temper and her concentration
Skilled at melee fight too, although not any lethal techniques
High undertanding of flora and beast, she feels at one with nature.
Low self-esteem, very insecure when others are around her.
The most beautiful troll ever, and even moreso when disguised as human.
Equipment: well.....I must have a staff....
History: Zal was born in a troll camp in the eastern kingdoms, one of the only ones remaining. The camp was raided by humans one night, and no one survived. No one except Zal'Jifa. Her name is the only thing she remembers from her family.
The day after the raid, a woman form a nearby human village walked around the remains of the troll camp. She had understanding of their minds, and she felt sorry for them. She loved peace above all else, and wished that the races would find a compromis. These trolls had made no aggresive act towards the village, even though they knew it was there. They were just travelling through, in search of a new home. The woman heard the cry of a baby in one of the destroyed tents. She adopted Zal, gave her a home in her village and she and her husband trained Zal as a warrior. They always sought to disquise her identity and she didn't get out much. The couple home-schooled her, teaching her everything they knew about everything.
Not being able to have kids themselves, they saw Zal as their own. And Zal saw them as her true parents. The "father" had been a great warrior, but had suffered grief wounds in the last battle, now free of duty. The mother was a young florist who knew practically everything about plants. So, Zal grew up, as a human girl, thinking that she was excactly that. She didn't know any other girls and thus didn't mind her skin colour.
At the age of 12, she wanted to go to the village, to meet the people that lived there (the couple had moved up into the mountains after realising they could not keep Zal inside forever. So they gave in, and agreed that Zal should be allowed to see the world outside too. Once in the village, however, she managed to run from her father, in play of course. She ran into a back street where she ran directly into a small human boy, about her age. Her hood fell from her face, and revealed her skin to the boy, who ran away frightened. Everyone in the village knew that trolls were evil, and the cildren were taught how to recognize a troll....one obvious sign would be the blue-ish skin. Zal's father quikly found her, running towards the screams of the boy, and brought her back to the house.
This traumatized Zal, and one night, because of the parents lack of explanations as to why she was different, she ran away, into the woods. She had learned to take care of herself, she knew what plants to eat and she knew how to craft a wooden weapon to kill for food. It was during this time she developed her magic skills too.
One day, she was attacked by a wolf, she was totally unprepared, and began to sprint. The wolf was strong and fast and quikly caught her again, going for the kill. Zal remembered what her father had taught her, and tried to throw the wolf off its feet, keeping its mouth closed with her hands. The wolf was way heavier than her and her arms were fatiqued. With one last attempt, she incenerated the wolf with her hands, burning it to death withing seconds. This further traumatized her, and for days she did not sleep or eat.
Finally, she returned to her foster parent's home, and they were happy to see her. Their life had been miserable without her they said. She demanded an explanation, and got the full story. And she was pleased. She agreed to put on "make-up" if going to town, and the parents agreed not to keep the door locked anymore. It all worked out fine, until one day a band of trolls raided the village. They were seeking the revenge for the murders on the trolls in the camp. They burned the village, killing everyone. Zal was in town during the raid and the heat of the flames melted her make-up. This made the trolls accept her as one of their own, they brought her with them against her will.
She was soon swarmed by the young boys in the village, for her beauty was the greatest amongst trolls. She always fended them off, sometimes hurting them even. But one of the boys was different, kind and understanding. They began seeing eachother fairly often, walking in the woods together, but Zal wa never really happy. The Elder had said there were no survivors from the village, and Zal had checked in her old home. Nothing. This made her very angry with the trolls, she felt a hatred towards them, but at the same time she felt that the humans had gotten what they deserved. True to say, she was split. One late night, sitting in a tent with Kres'Likar, the young troll boy, whom she had gotten to know, it all went wrong. Zal hadn't thought about her magic powers much, she had made some experiments but they never succeeded. There was a troll mage in the village, and he had learned her a few things. She knew all the theory, but when it came to actual spellcasting, she was distracted by the hate and love and lost concentration. This one night, Kres tried to kiss her. Zal was surprised, even frightened and pushed him away. He tried once more to kiss her, held her down, and suddenly burst into flames along with the entire village. Zal ran away from the scene, unharmed.
Since then, she has walked the lands of Azeroth. Disguised as a human most of the time. She never stayed too long anywhere, and never anywhere higly populated. She blames herself for the deaths of her human family, and her troll family, as well as the troll village she destroyed. This makes her even more insecure.
Still, she is trying to find out who she is, and where she comes from. Is she human, or troll? Or neither?
*phew* it turned out to be an entire novel this one..... I am in love with this character! She is very well balanced (although her personality is a bit unbalanced ^_^) i think, with tremendous power, and inability to make use of them. And a very original character too, I think.
I would like her instead of Zed, as he seems a little......well....boring actually...

Name: Grorg
Race: Furbolg
Age: 40ish
Class: Shamanistic healer
Physical: A small, compact collection of fur and muscle, Grorg was always small for his race. He stands just over five feet tall making him almost petite compared to his fellow furbolgs. His fur is shiny black and is considerably thicker around his shoulders. His face is board, coming to a point at his nose. His eyes are far back and usually hidden behind a dark blue cloak, the only clothing he wears beyond a simple loin clothe to cover his little bear. Around his neck hang several talismans and necklaces which give a mystical look about him
Personality: Although he is a generally a good and upright furbolg, Grorg is a hard and embittered bear. He saw more combat during the great war than any furbolg should have to. He no longer believes that he will find happiness in this life. He has dedicated what’s left of his depressing existence to drive as much evil out of the forest of Ashenvale as he can. No longer much for conversation, he spends most of time either sulking — mourning for his fallen friends and family — or looking for any thing that still hold the taint of evil.
History: Since he was so much smaller than his other slothmates (sloth being the word for a group of bears) the village shaman took him under his arm and taught the young Grorg about the true ways of nature and how to use it to defeat his enemies. However Grorg was never interested in the shedding of blood, preferring to focus his effort in healing both through spells for temporary relief and through herbs and salves for true lasting healing.
While he never became the most powerful shaman in the furbolg nation, he learned to be strong enough to be able to lend a hand supporting his stronger, melee-fighting brethren. He grew to love visiting the various tribal villages and sharing his healing talents with them. Healing and helping to Grorg were a way for him to share that which he felt was most sacred, life.
During the Great War Grorg fought with the other furbolgs to defend their homeland as much as they could. While not fighting, the furbolgs started as a happy and social race. Sharing is great songs and stories. During the first part of the war Grorg and his comrades were still generally an upbeat people. However as the war against the undead, tainted ancients and satyrs wore on, more and more death entered into Grorg’s life. He became a more and more solemn bear. By the time of the final battle at the world tree all happiness was gone.
After the Great War Grorg swore to drive out the darkness from the land. He studying with some more reckless Night Elf druids to learn more aggressive spell that would allow him to exact his revenge as he wished. He traveled alone looking for any packet of evil and other like-minded beings to help him in his quest for justice. Unable to do much damage himself, he knows he must find others to achieve his dream.
Skills and Spells:
Healing: First and foremost, Grorg is a healer. He can seal cuts and mend broken bones through magic. However these effects are merely temporary. He can also however use more concrete healing methods for a slower but permanent fix.
Combat spells: Mostly a supporting caster, he has several buffs he can cast but his only attacking spells are a simple, weak energy blast and the ability to, with great effort, completely banish the taint for a single being (this skill is very taxing for him though, leaving him wasted)
Wrestling: While too small to beat any fugbolg, Grorg is build such that he can hold his own in close combat against most other races. Not much of a striker, he prefers to get in close.
Weapons: Grorg knows nothing about swords, maces or anything else like that.
Equipment: He’s a simple bear with simple needs.
Biases: He hates all being he considers tainted namely satyrs, naga, undead, tainted ancients and the like. Anything that to him feels to be of a demonic origin is his mortal enemy. He holds a great respect for Night Elves and finds the rest of the Alliance to be basically agreeable. He distrusts the orcs and troll but is willing to work with them on faith since the tuarens have aligned with them.
Jobs: Healing basically. A traveling doctor, I suppose.
Let me know if more detail is needed in any area. I wasn't sure if I was suppose to define all his spell ans how they work or if you would do that. I'm down either way.

This is the first rpg I've ever joined, so I hope I do it right
...............................................................................
Name: Jerubaal
Race: Tauren
Class: Warrior
age: 28
Physical Description: Being a Tauren Jerubaal is very big and strong. he has scars along his body, and one of his horns was ripped off rather brutally. his face is long and drawn out and it ends with a large blunt nose. Jerubaal smiles only when he is fighting. he wears a vest and a long cloak.
Personality: Jerubaal was brought up with the balance of nature as his main focus. however he feels that many times the balance must be broken in order to set the world right. he is never happy unless he is fighting, or creating something.
History: Jerubaal was brought up in a small tauren village in thousand needles. his parents were both druids and they triend to bring him up as one too, however Jerubaal always felt that keeping the balance of nature was not good enough, he wanted to create his own balance. so he trained himself as a warrior, in thunder bluff.
When he got back to his village he found out that a raiding party of gnomes from the nearby raceway had killed most of his village before help arrived. after that he lost his faith in life and felt that he had to live alone creating his own reality.
He wandered the wilderness learning how to make his own weapons and armour from metals that he found in mountainsides. after a while he made his way into ashenvale, and found a small village where factions didnt matter so he stayed there.
Skills:
Metalworking: Jerubaal can use metals to create weapons and armour.
Taunting: Jerubaal is very good at pulling enemies towards himself.
Weapons: Jerubaal will use any weapon that he feels will do the most damage
Equipment: Jerubaal like to use a shield along with his weapons
Bias: Jerubaal HATES gnomes for what they did to his village, but generally will work with anyone who will work with him. he has great respect for anyone who can cast spells, as he was never able to
Jobs: Jerubaal is a skilled metalworker and smith
I hope thats good enough please let me know about anything i should add or change

also, a side note to my character.
EQ: since she's in multi-faction land, she wears a hood and a robe to disguise herself.
phys: you might also notice that the trolls in WoW have very large feet....Zal, however, is not a darkspear troll(they live in kalimdor), and the race she belongs to (dunno what the name is, might come up with one) has smaller feet. Her hands (as seen in wow) also only features 3 digits, so she wears gauntlets, never gloves....
Skills: very skilled in fighting with staves, not comfortable with swords and shields. Therefor, she doesn't dish out tremendous damage, but her speed and technique makes up for that. She is also skilled in tailoring and first aid.
She can wear mail armor, and she is likely to wear a breastplate under her robe (i dont know, you're teh boss, boss), however that would hinder her movement and speed. She is stronger than she seems, but it's not like she has supernatural powers or anything. She will be nowhere near as strong as a Tauren. (loving Jerubaal btw, taurens are the coolest)
Biases: She tends to hang with trolls and humans when she must. She distrusts everyone, except her parents, and wont let anybody get attached to her....or vice versa...
the magic i talked about....well....she doesnt use it much. She is getting better at it and she practices when no one is watching. She never uses it in a fight though, 'cause she knows what might happen if she did. Though she seems invulnerable to her own magiks, she would be very likely to kill or harm both friends and foes within the area.
she needs refining.....right now, she might be a little overpowered....whaddaya think?
@Jerubaal: Our stories seem pretty similar, and I think you could be my bestest friend in this story ^___^
you can never go wrong with a tauren! and i love the fact that he's only happy when he's fighting (imagine big bad tauren smile! :badteeth: )
@Oatho: 13 seems a bit young? but I imagine his powers aren't phenomonal then? a sympathetic Warlock....hmm....we're certainly not pulling on stereotypes here.....I'd love to hear more
@Talon: come back! can't wait to get this party started!
@Grorg: A furbolg? lol, that'd be great! ^_^
I already feel this emotional link to all of ya! (ya chars that is)

I think I need to add a bit to Jerubaal's history and personality so here goes
after his villiage was destroyed by the gnomes Jerubaals warrior training and his childhood teaching of keeping the balance gave him very mixed feeling. oh one hand he wanted revenge for what happened, but on the other hand if he went and destroyed the gnomes balance wouldnt be restored, just both sides of the scale would be destroyed.
for many months he wandered thinking about how he should properly regain balance and get his revenge. eventually he decided that if he spread the feeling of loss that he had after seeing his villiage destroyed he could even the scales of balance by having everyone feel loss.
now he never smiles unless he is fighting, because when he fights he feels like he is evening the scales, so it makes him feel like he is doing the right thing

All right, if you're still looking for a number-cruncher for the stats, I'll do it. One word of warning - I don't know any special "Warcraft" rules. I am, however, perfectly willing to take the char sheets and turn them into normal D&D sheets and then do whatever dice rolls, stat calculations, damage tables, etc. you need in the 3rd edition D&D rules. And, really, the 3rd edition D&D rules can easily handle this.
Oh, yeah - I don't mind renaming or reworking any skills, feats, stats, equipment, spells, or abilities necessary for any character. If you need it and D&D doesn't have it, I'll make it and balance it for you.
And yes. I actually have a set of D&D dice and some blank char sheets I can spare. <Ultimate Nerdage>
EDIT: Oh, yeah. Duh. I wouldn't mind running a character, either. If you still have room, I'll make one up. That will also give you a look at what kind of stat sheets I'll be producing for the other players if I take the number-crunching gig. Look on the "First Contact" thread for a sample of my writing, but bear in mind that Fuller is a very messed-up person and you can expect to see a different writing style to represent a different psychology. Like more contractions, fewer paragraph breaks, more colorful adjectives, etc.
Blackmoon

I personally hope this ain't go going to stats and so on. I'd prefer this type of game to remain more with imagination and less with numbers. Stats are all fine and good on normal D&D game, but I don't think they're needed in a game such as this one.

I'd be up for either kind, although I'm much more familar with statless RPGs.
Entuaru, Azagal and espically Blackmoon: Great characters all of you. Should be a fun group. As for Antonias, your guy is cool but the sign up is really short and kinda has a strong Larry Sue feel about it. Just my impression, I hold no sway here.

However, I do. And I'm afraid Antonidas that your warlock needs a little more than he's a warlock. If you would like to join, please write a full sheet.
Azagal, your troll is certainly going to provide plenty of conflict, well done, hehe if you have any tendency towards the romantic which it sounds like you might, I expect to see plenty of tension and heartbreak. I also expect plenty of developement with this volatile magic talent, plenty of people gonna want to put a leash on yer troll, for personal gain more than like.
Monkey King, seems you are very understanding of the animal kingdom, furbolgs are warcrafts intelligent bears, and there's going to be little real mental handicap to overcome, even if they aren't the sharpest. Souns like you have a very strong character, I can see some very bemused expressions at being towed along by a bear on a quest against evil.
Entauru, excellent character. You should be able to do very unpredictable things with your char, it seems your tauren is mixed up, and who knows what could set him off, what does he consider evening the scales. Beware of moral discussions.
Neosonic, thanks very much for the offer, but I think we'll stick to the creative story rpg for the moment as is the wont, it should be alright because I'll be here to make sure there is fairness, I think that if there was to be any number crunching it should be me who does it and I can't. Feel free to stick in your character at anytime, there's no current limit, I'll be here to regulate.
I've actually been keeping up with the First Contact thing, I believe your posts were excellent.
Now, I had been posting in the initial stage constantly, partially out of eagerness to answer your questions, but also because I didn't want you guys to interact till the rpg, so that ebveryone would still be fresh to everyone else. I see however that some people have taken steps to circumvent this (stern look) so now I invite you to mingle and socialise to your hearts content, you may indeed suffer from UNS (ultimate nerdage syndrome) but rest assured that others of us here suffer from similiar problems.
Throw in things you'd like to discuss about the town, eg, specifics about the 'government' or frequency of visitors or latest hair fashions. Please, speak and be heard.
Last note, i shall begin to post equipment, and soon I shall post to tell you the date of the RPG's begining, so all who wish to get in early submit chars now. (limited seats people)
Ach, almost forgot. If you people would kindly post your characters height, maybe even weight.

Remnas is 190cm and 110kg. So according to this book I'm holding it should be around 6'3 and 220 lb on your freaky scale :happy34:. Sound good realistic to you? (Should be a big guy).
As for posting times, mine are highly irregular. I had a bit stressing spring so right now, I'm taking it easy. Also I'm european so it will most likely be at night for you americans.

Zal would have to be about as high as remnas, partially because i have no clue how to turn centimeters into feet (depends on whose feet too...), but also because that's a pretty good height...perhaps a little bit higher (she's a troll after all)...
her weight.....well....its not very kind to ask a lady such a question is it? she'd slap me hard.... :scared:
posting times will be european here too....it also depends on the day. I'll have the tuesdays free from this tuesday and forth, but mondays, wednesdays and fridays won't be avaliable (mondays will around the 10th of May)....I will be able to post between classes, but not in the evening, until 10...
saturdays are highly irregular, as I play golf from the morning off, and I never know when I get home. Depends on so many things. Fortunately, we have finished most of our major assignments this year, so weekends should be fairly open.
I live in Denmark, i.e CET or GMT+1.....I have no idea how that goes with your pst and all....
help, anyone?

Weeeeeell sorry to hear that neo, mebbe later then.
Ah, as fer posting times, seeing as it's really on a like it or lump it basis and I havent achieved the power of celestial control, as long as you post some point during the day, it's not as if anyone else's post is going to run away before you can read it.
Out if courtesy though, if you've already posted during the day you shouldn't really post again unless it's in the same time-frame, no time jumping before everybody's good and ready.
As for me, I live in New Zealand, and if you think that's remote, try looking up Shannon or Mangaore Village. As I write this it's about 2:15 pm.
And when I say you have a strong character Monkey King I wasn't referring to physical prowess although as a bear I would expect him to be rather formidable, I mean't strong 'character' or personality, a forceful persona.
So we have the characters
Talon, Human Thief: 157cm, 55kg.
Zal'Jifa, Troll Warrior Mage: 195cm, bout 70-80 kg at a guess (wince from slap). I was going to make you shorter, but it's your char so.
Grorg, Furbolg Shaman: 165 cm(?), 210 kg(?), is that about right?
Remnas, Human Hunter: 192cm, 110 kg.
Jerubaal, Tauren Warrior: 215cm(?), 225kg
I changed your weight for the moment Entauru because Taurens are actually very hefty to go with their size, they actually hunch over.
And we seem to have a bunch of very tall characters, I guess you want the stature to go with the giant reputation, which you don't actually have yet.
Equipment away...

Double posts are so embarassing...
Hokey tokey, I've been away a bit, weddings, parties, farewells, rounding up the holidays sort of thing.
Throw in your shaman Nariac, I am still accepting players, the more the merrier I always say. And so do various other people.
A rough batch of equipment has been sailed out, and i can confidently say that if you all post your stuff by the end of tomorrow the RPG will commence!
Now the real dilemma for me is to pick an RPG title that stands out but doesn't sound stupid.
Something along the lines of 'Rise of Heroes!', mebbe 'The Rise of Suns' or something. Whaddya guys think? Gimme a clue here.
And Azagal, yer troll jus got shorter. (pulls out the tape) 185cm! Not quite the tallest, but at least you aren't vertically challenged like some. Still enough to garner a helleva lot of people look up to her. Sweet as.
Y'know I just saw a thinga-ma-bob on the telly that said tigers are about 550 pounds, at least I hope it was pounds, I'd hate to half a half-ton tiger going for my throat. Just wondering if maybe the bear shouldn't be heavier?
Entauru, of course you have a say in this, this is a free 4 all remember? Meaning, you guys outnumber me five to one (image of me pinned against the wall being mercilessly beaten by teenagers screaming 'kalimdor's nuclear free and you know it!' while subjecting me to vids of their gruesome mutant end).
Do you know what a burden it would be if I had to think all the time? If I wanted to think, I'd pay attention in class, and I wouldn't be rambling off in all of my posts. I'd be very dignified and proper, laying down ground rules, regulations, segregation and no spit policies... Uh, what was I talking about?
Ah yes, toss me any additional char data, your accepted equipment, and your preferred RPG name. Choose wisely, you'll have to live with it.
By the way, those of you that have recieved no money from me, have 10 copper, due to skilled thieves. Just enough for takeaways.

You have my sympathies Nariac.
I knew it! I knew it I knew it I knew it. I must have amazing powers of predictive abilities, because somehow I knew nobody would help me pick a name. You all seem determined to let me embarrass myself as best as I know how.
Any interaction between characters non-existent before this point, if you want to be distant cousins of a long dead relative raady-raa, that's your choice but you can't have interacted before the rpg, and you likely wouldn't recognize each other.
Of course, any relations between characters can be worked out between you and me, as long as all parties of this relationship are involved.
No-one has been in the nest for longer than a couple of weeks, and nobody can afford to get to know each, they literally can't afford it. There's no taboo against having observed or having known of each other.
I just want everyone, at the time of the RPG to either be in the nest, or just arriving there.
Does everyone here know how to hyperlink? If not, it's a little earth button with a chain link at the top of the message creation screen. You use this to link your post with a previous one.
I'm telling you this because when the RPG starts, everyone's char sheet will be up for display, and instead of prefacing each of your posts with Char information and history, I just want you to link the name with the char sheet.
You can show the basics such as gender, race etc... but no more history to clutter up the thread.

thankies for the gear mon....I like the gun....
as for the title....can you give us, oh gloryful gm, a clue as to where the storyline of this....thing....rpg...sorta...thingie.....will be heading? the moon, the sun, the local disco? To great glory and honour in the halls of heroes?
"Arisen from the Shadows" or something like that, since we all are in the shadier end of the barometer. "Heroes of the Shadow" shadow <-> shade?
"Shades of the Sun"?
gimme a goddam clue! I'm clueless!

Gun? I gave you a gun, dammit, thought it was a staff?
I wanted the title to be a good noticeable one, and sun's are generally more noticeable than moons, but shadows is more suitable. I would have preferred it to be more generic, more to do with the journeys and building up of characters, cause you never know who might decide to join.
Such as 'Rise of Heros' my original thought, or maybe even just 'the Nest' from where it all started. Just not a title that leans toward one thing or another. Just I vould lek sumvun te suggest anything that pops to mind, and I'll pick.
(Wouldn't mind a disco club)
Seeing as,as you said, we are the shadier or unusual classes I suppose '... from the Shadows' wouldn't be amiss, since it conveys the feeling of these unknowns coming out of the Shadows into glory sort of thing.

It seems like most of us are from the horde, (Jerubaal Grorg and Zaljifa) and the other two seem to be outcasts so maybe
Shadows of the Horde
but if thats not ok then we could do
Shades From the Nest
I rather like those two

Actually Entaura, Grorg would be more aligned with the Sentinals than the Horde.
As for a name, how about "WarCraft: the Next Generation"?
I'm kidding of course. If we wanted to stick with the Shadows theme, we could use "Out of Shadow, Into Night" or "Casting off the Shadows." "Sons of the Nest" kinda has a nice ring to it.
What's all this fussin'? What's in a name? This RPG by any other name would still be as sweet.

I'm always in favour of simple names so just "The Nest" sounds good to my ear. Also Nest is an outlaw village so maybe something along those lines. "Outlaw's pocket"? Ok, that was bad . I'm not too good with names. "Nest of the Outlaw"? "On the shadow of outlaw"? Ok, I shut up now

I dunno, Outlaw's pocket wasn't so bad.
I agree that the name should be simple, so even though shadow seems to be a prevailant theme, I guess I'm gonna have to go with 'The Nest' hehe, that was my choice in da first place. I was gonna have something longer to do with birds from the nest sort of thing but a) that's gay and b) it's too long. Whaa hoo. If I can find my net connection again, I'll spark dis up after school today.

I really must apologize, but seeing as I'm rather rude, I probably won't. My computer network had been disconnected during the course of rennovation and I'm stuck using this computer for the time being.

so, not to spam OT in the RPG, i shall post my query here...
do we simply continue where your post ends, og should we write something that eventually includes your finish?
1 example: your final words was: "Hey you there" (something ala that)
so i could continue "the voice came from a big lump of ham.....etc.etc.etc"
2 example: "hey you there"
i continue: "the big lump of ham had never been in the city before and was really tired. Not knowing where the inn was, it turned to the first hungry face it saw and yelled out "hey you there"
whaddayasay?
also, you write in the RPG that char info will be put in first (or something like that, don' wanna check) will this happen in a new thread, or do we simply start our first post with the char sheet as well as gear?
Alakon
11-05-2005, 01:48 AM
Well, first of all NEVER write your gear in your post, or on your char sheet.
All character sheets shall be posted by me, either on this thread or on a new one, then you can simply write the name hyperlinked to the char sheet if anyone needs to check.
For now, just write basic info, no history or anything. Just Name, Race, and Class.
As for posting you don't follow my post, you concern yourself with your own character. Any of my writing in italics will concern everyone in general (that's my DM mode), my normal writing is simply my character whom I shall wield to keep plots moving or alter to my whim.
Wouldn't mind some ham about now though...
Anyway I have to have some people posting in the rpg before I can do any major DMing. Start off however you like.
By the way, as I've mentioned, my home computers stuffed so I can't post your edited char sheets yet. Sorry.

I'll give it a shot if you are still accepting characters. I don't know how my character would react with the group but he could be an enemy of sort to any characters playing criminals.
Name: Bereth
Age: 19
Race: Human
Class: Palidan
Physical Description: Berex, having been training his body for many years, is in much better physical shape then an average human. He is in no means a giant, but could pack quite a punch if he wished to do so. He stands at around 5 feet 11 inches and weighs about 180 lbs. His hair is dark brown, almost black as with his eyes. His moderatly long hair descends down his face past his nose in the front and almost reaches halfway down his back. He usually keeps clean shaven, but a young man of his age does not require to shave say as much as a 40 year old. Unless given time for leisure, Bereth wears a chain mesh over his chest, and chain mesh gloves, boots and pants. (With more money and training he could move up to start using plate amour.) He also wears a basic metal helmet in combat situations, but when on simple patrol he tends to take it off from time to time for fresh air.
Skills:
Basic Sword Training
Basic Maul Training
Good Strength
Good Defence
Some Healing Abililites
Basic Survival
Moderate Health
Equipment: Standard chain mesh armour, basic silver 2-handed maul.
History: Bereth was raised as a child just outside of Stormwind for most of his early life. His parents, being farmers, spent most of their time on the fields teaching Bereth the methods of farming. Having lived on the farm for several years, Bereth spent much of his time working, developing his strong physical condition. As a child he marvelled at the epic Palidans when visiting Stormwind, and at an early age Bereth wished to leave the life of farming and become a Palidan, to fight evil and protect the good.
At 13, with help from his reluctant but caring parents, Bereth was accepted to train as a squire with an experienced Palidan by the name of Deras. For many years Bereth followed and assisted Deras on several quests ranging from policing villages to solving minor-moderate crimes. When not questing, Bereth trained his body and his soul. Bereth was taught basic weapons skills from different Warriors and Palidans, and learned the path of The Light from different priests within the Cathedral in Stormwind.
Now at age 19, Deras and other senior members within the Holy Order feel Bereth has reached enough training to help out with some general policing duties. His first assignment is to police a small town called "The Nest". Though the "officals" will be unaware of this policing, Bereth has been ordered to help any guards with acts of crime within the town. Bereth is to collect information of any underground criminal activity within the town and to leave as soon as possible if he is over his head in his mission. Basically, Bereth will serve as a scout for the Holy Order and assist with keeping the peace within the town.
Bereth is anxious to test his worth for The Order, and prove to his brothers his courage and srength to serve The Light. He has little experience in dealing with situations by himself, and it may prove to be too much for him to handle.

No, no, history is fine in this thread, just don't post your history in the actual rpg. If someone wants to see your history, then they can look for it here.
Your char sheet is basically sound and you don't seem to be suffering from 'god mode' tendencies, I should think that you very welcome in this rpg as soon as you make a few changes that I think might be better.
Sounds to me that at that age or experience he wouldn't be an actual Paladin yet, at least not till after this 'test'. As such he may not actually have the standard equipment that pallys usually do. I think that the mail shirt can be acceptable because he is a pally in training or whatever. Most paladins come from rich noble families, but when they become paladins, they own virtually nothing. Therefore your dude would have little that he personally owns, although he does have his issued equipment.
Going into a thieves town, I don't think he wants to advertise the fact that he's a paladin, keep that in mind, so he wouldn't tote around a two-handed maul everywhere. So put it in the closet or somewhere for the time being I suppose.
Anyway, don't worry about that just yet, we'll sort that out after. I would just like to have you add a few things like personality, what makes him who he is. Is he prone to rashness, is he a meek servant of the light, does he feel pressured by all these heroes, does he have a family name to live up to?
And also his Biases, such as does he loath thieves? Does he have a thing for red-headed gnomes? Maybe he has a nervous habit?
I guess I'm a bit lax, I should of given you the set up before.

Alright sounds good. Alright, well I don't mind changing him to Palidan in training. Would there be any way you'll allow me to further Bereth's training throughout the RPG?
Name- Bereth
Race- Human
Gender- Male
Class- Palidan
Description- Berex, having been training his body for many years, is in much better physical shape then an average human. He also wears a basic metal helmet in combat situations, but when on simple patrol he tends to take it off from time to time for fresh air.
Mentally, Bereth is cool and quiet in nature. He tends to think before he reacts to situations rather than acting abrubtly and rashly. However this does not mean he cannot take chage, just that he will choose the more peaceful and honest solutions to problems. Though he is peaceful, Bereth is physically trained to defend himself and others need he have to. Never afraid of hard work, Bereth gets a "buzz" of helping others in need. From his life growing up on a farm, Bereth has simple likes and dislikes. He'll eat almost any food, (he is a growing boy after all) and generally enjoys being around with most people if they are basicall good of heart. Bereth however does not interact well with anything that goes against his morals. He is forgiving and merciful but will almost always attempt to stop the wrong-doings taking place. In the end, Bereth is a true believer in The Light and smiting evil.
History- History: Bereth was raised as a child just outside of Stormwind for most of his early life.
The priests taught Bereth some minor abilities that he can use to channel The Light. Bereth is by no means ready to ressurect fallen allies back from the dead, but Bereth knows a few more simpler healing abilities and small buffs to boost his combat skills.
Bereth never had much interaction with many others races. He had come to meet different Dwarven Palidans from within the Holy Order or see a gnome from time to time in Stormwind but never really interacted with many other races then humans. Berex had learned of the evil Undead legion, whom keeper's of the light were sworn to defeat. Bereth even heard word that the Undead had learned to train dark priests. He also, like any human, knew of the evil orcs who years before invaded Azeroth. As he knew of the ancient elves, he also knew of the ancient trolls who had been a burden to Azeroth before the orcs were. Bereth knew these races had united and become what is known as 'The Horde', but Bereth has never physically seen these creatures face to face.
The Order has commanded Bereth to keep a low profile within the town and to keep his true identity as much as a secret he can. However, knowing Bereth's strong morals, he may break this cover if the situation is severe enough. Intead of the standard 2-handed maul issued to most Palidans, Bereth has been given a medium sized 2-handed sword to blend in with some of the other mercenaries in the town.
Bereth is anxious to test his worth for The Order, and prove to his brothers his courage and srength to serve The Light. He has little experience in dealing with situations by himself, and it may prove to be too much for him to handle. The Order may also grant Bereth as rank of full Palidan if he proves successful on his mission.
Skills- Basic Sword Training
Basic Maul Training
Good Strength
Good Defence
Some Healing Abililites and Combat Buffs
Basic Survival
Moderate Health
Biases- The dark-willed or unlawful. Undead.

A few minor changes like his weapon, personality and history (mostly about his training in the Light). I hope this is sufficent enough.

Gentlemen and... the other people! I am proud to announce that my network is once again operational and I can post your char sheets!
Now, this is an example of how you will preface your posts from now one if you please.

Location: The Nest
Then you can quote this for the rest of the time, changing hopefully only the location.
I assume you know how to hyperlink but I will just make sure.
First you click Reply!
Then you look for the little picture of the earth with a chain link, you following me? You click it! Then you write the Character name.
Then you click the okey dokey button.
Then you write (copy, paste) the web address of your character sheet which i am about to post, so that anybody that's absolutely overwhelmed by the sheer audacity and power of your character can look at his history profile and be suitably disappointed. (joking!)

Name: Talon

Name: Zal'Jifa (Zal from her troll name "Erfir'Zal" and Jifa from her human name "Jifa")
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Race: Troll
Class: Warrior/Mage
Height: 185 cm.
Weight: 90 kg
Description: Zal is a tall rather fine specimen of her race by their standards, and surprisingly she is of surpassing beauty by human standards too, if they don’t get close enough to discover the differences.
She has a light blue hue to her skin only just beginning to attain that ‘tan’ that so characterises her race. She is mistaken for a beautiful young woman of the human race because of the face paint that she insists on to hide her identity in lands other than her own, her tusks are also just now beginning to grow so a human would be unsuspecting if he did not inspect too closely.
She is skinny, yet strong and supple as is most of her race an blessed with a kind open face that immediately appeals. Her hair is long and white and compliments the rest of her in the most fabulous way. Very agile, very graceful, but only in solitude where she doesn’t feel pressured by her past miseries, reminded by the ebb and flow of people . Otherwise she tends to be a bit clumsy and awkward in public.
Zal is a bit shy, and she really doesn't feel comfortable anywhere. She doesn't know where she belongs and walks in solitude most of the time. Even when she finds companions, will she be walking behind them, only speaking when she is asked, and not saying more than necessary, apparently trying to fade into the background as much as possible.
This girl has power, but she is not in control of it. Thus, she often tends to do melee fighting instead, as she has been trained as a warrior from the early years and she is more comfortable with something that she can control rather than the unpredictable force of magic.
Skills: Low skill in magiks, but her power grows with her temper and her concentration
Skilled at melee fight too, although not any lethal techniques
High understanding of flora and beast, she feels at one with nature.
Low self-esteem, very insecure when others are around her.
The most beautiful troll ever, and even more so when disguised as human.
She loved peace above all else, and wished that the races would find a compromise. These trolls had made no aggressive act towards the village, even though they knew it was there. They were just travelling through, in search of a new home. The woman heard the cry of a baby in one of the destroyed tents. She adopted Zal, gave her a home in her village and she and her husband trained Zal as a warrior. They always sought to disguise her identity and she didn't get out much.
So, Zal grew up, as a human girl, thinking that she was exactly that.
Everyone in the village knew that trolls were evil, and the children were taught how to recognize a troll....one obvious sign would be the blue-ish skin. Zal's father quickly found her, running towards the screams of the boy, and brought her back to the house.
The wolf was strong and fast and quickly caught her again, going for the kill. Zal remembered what her father had taught her, and tried to throw the wolf off its feet, keeping its mouth closed with her hands. The wolf was way heavier than her and her arms were fatigued. With one last attempt, she incinerated the wolf with her hands, burning it to death within seconds.
They began seeing each other fairly often, walking in the woods together, but Zal wa never really happy.
She never stayed too long anywhere, and never anywhere highly populated. She blames herself for the deaths of her human family, and her troll family, as well as the troll village she destroyed. This makes her even more insecure.
Still, she is trying to find out who she is, and where she comes from. Is she human, or troll? Or neither?
Skills: Very skilled in fighting with staves, not comfortable with swords and shields. Therefore, she doesn't dish out tremendous damage, but her speed and technique makes up for that. She is also skilled in tailoring and first aid.
Biases: She tends to hang with trolls and humans when she must. She distrusts everyone, except her parents, and wont let anybody get attached to her....or vice versa...

However, Grorg was never interested in the shedding of blood, preferring to focus his effort in healing both through spells for temporary relief and through herbs and salves for true lasting healing.
During the Great War Grorg joined with other furbolgs in an attempt to stem the evil flowing into their land. Furbolgs were originally a content race, perfectly happy to live their lives in their own way, even at the outset of war they were jovial and friendly, eventually though a darkness grew over this nation. As the war against the undead, tainted ancients and satyrs wore on, more and more death entered into Grorg’s life.
He travelled alone looking for any packet of evil and other like-minded beings to help him in his quest for justice.
Wrestling: While too small to beat any furbolg, Grorg is build such that he can hold his own in close combat against most other races. Not much of a striker, he prefers to get in close.
Weapons: Grorg knows nothing about swords, maces or anything else like that.
Biases: He hates all being he considers tainted namely satyrs, naga, undead, tainted ancients and the like. Anything that to him feels to be of a demonic origin is his mortal enemy. He holds a great respect for Night Elves and finds the rest of the Alliance to be basically agreeable. He distrusts the orcs and troll but is willing to work with them on faith since the taurens have aligned with them.

Remnas
Race: Human
Age: He has stopped counting decades ago. “Too old”, he says when asked.
Class: Hunter (semi-retired)
Description: Tall and bulky, his large frame stands out impressively, he has a look about him that shouts louder than words that this man has weathered worse storms and events than most will ever see. Although in his retiring years his muscles have been slowly going to fat, he remains a powerful man who tolerates no foolishness. He still packs enough punch to show the young rascals who’s the boss though. Has long, almost completely grey hair and beard.
Personality: A hard-headed and very proud man, who never shares his grief or pain, never complains and never ever admits that he can’t do something (as long as it is something he thinks he should be able to do) or that he made a mistake. He distrusts everyone and everything and especially that which he doesn’t understand (any type of magic and technology).
His senses are getting duller and he isn’t in as good a shape as before, but he more than makes up for this in experience.
Remnas mostly plays instrument such as this which he has made by himself
Unskilled with ranged weapons. Thought I’d mention this here too. Although bows are typically weapons of a hunter, Remnas has never used any of those. He hunts by trapping mostly.
Needs glasses to see close well enough to -for example- read . This is something he'd never let anyone know.

Name: Jerubaal
Race: Tauren
Class: Warrior
Age: 28
Physical Description: Jerubaal is truly impressive figure, making even the most stoic of heroes seem paltry in comparison. His body is rent with long scars, and one of his horns was ripped off rather brutally leaving a broken stump. His face is long and drawn out and it ends with a large blunt nose. Jerubaal smiles only when he is fighting.
Personality: Jerubaal was brought up with the balance of nature as his main focus. However he feels that many times the balance must be broken in order to set the world right. He is never content unless he is fighting, or creating something.
He wandered the wilderness learning how to make his own weapons and armour from metals that he found in mountainsides. after a while he made his way into Ashenvale, and found a small village where factions didn’t matter so he stayed there.
after his village was destroyed by the gnomes Jerubaals warrior training and his childhood teaching of keeping the balance gave him very mixed feeling. On one hand he wanted revenge for what happened, but on the other hand if he went and destroyed the gnomes balance wouldnt be restored, just both sides of the scale would be destroyed.
Bias: Jerubaal HATES gnomes for what they did to his village, but generally will work with anyone who will work with him. he has great respect for anyone who can cast spells, as he was never able to.

Name: Bereth
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Class: Paladin (Squire)
Description- Bereth, having been training his body for many years, is in much better physical shape then an average human. He is in no means a giant, but could pack quite a punch if he wished to do so. He stands at around 5 feet 11 inches and weighs about 180 lbs. His hair is dark brown, almost black as with his eyes. His moderately long hair descends down his face past his nose in the front and almost reaches halfway down his back. He usually keeps clean-shaven, but a young man of his age does not require to shave say as much as a 40 year old. Will don battle armour as the situation requires, but when the fighting has stopped he finds it's too contricting, and will remove his helment to better enjoy the fresh air.
Mentally, Bereth is cool and quiet in nature. He tends to think before he reacts to situations rather than acting abruptly and rashly. However this does not mean he cannot take change, just that he will choose the more peaceful and honest solutions to problems. Though he is peaceful, Bereth is physically trained to defend himself and others need he have to. Never afraid of hard work, Bereth gets a "buzz" of helping others in need. From his life growing up on a farm, Bereth has simple likes and dislikes. He'll eat almost any food, (he is a growing boy after all) and generally enjoys being around with most people if they are basically good of heart. Bereth however does not interact well with anything that goes against his morals. He is forgiving and merciful but will almost always attempt to stop the wrong-doings taking place. In the end, Bereth is a true believer in The Light and smiting evil.
History: Bereth was raised as a child just outside of Stormwind for most of his early life. His parents, being farmers, spent most of their time on the fields teaching Bereth the methods of farming. Having lived on the farm for several years, Bereth spent much of his time working, developing his strong physical condition. As a child he marvelled at the epic Paladins when visiting Stormwind, and at an early age Bereth wished to leave the life of farming and become a Paladin, to fight evil and protect the good.
Bereth was taught basic weapons skills from different Warriors and Paladins, and learned the path of The Light from different priests within the Cathedral in Stormwind. The priests taught Bereth some minor abilities that he can use to channel The Light. Bereth is by no means ready to resurrect fallen allies back from the dead, but Bereth knows a few more simpler healing abilities and small buffs to boost his combat skills.
Bereth never had much interaction with many others races. He had come to meet different Dwarven Paladins from within the Holy Order or see a gnome from time to time in Stormwind but never really interacted with many other races then humans.
Now at age 19, Deras and other senior members within the Holy Order feel Bereth has reached enough training to help out with some general policing duties. His first assignment is to police a small town called "The Nest". Though the "officials" will be unaware of this policing, Bereth has been ordered to help any guards with acts of crime within the town. Bereth is to collect information of any underground criminal activity within the town and to leave as soon as possible if he is over his head in his mission. Basically, Bereth will serve as a scout for the Holy Order and assist with keeping the peace within the town. The Order has commanded Bereth to keep a low profile within the town and to keep his true identity as much as a secret he can. However, knowing Bereth's strong morals, he may break this cover if the situation is severe enough. Instead of the standard 2-handed maul issued to most Paladins, Bereth has been given a one-handed maul to blend in with some of the other mercenaries in the town.
Good Defense
Some Healing Abilities and Combat Buffs
Basic Survival
Moderate Health
Biases- The dark-willed or unlawful. Undead.

Our fine young friend Entauru here has just demonstrated the use of HYPERLINKING. No doubt you will also wish to take advantage of itr seeing as I've gone to the trouble of setting up the Char sheets.
But also, underneath your hyperlinked name could you please provide cursory information so that casual readers will be aware of which character is which.

I got rejected. I tried to pm Monkey King, but apparently his pm account was too good for me, and shunned my message.
I am going to pm updates on equipment status(are they wearing down etc), and small personal events such has someone filched 2 copper from your pocket without you noticing. Of course, that's not to say you can't do these things yourself. But if you could please keep at least one slot clear in your pm clear for one o' my updates it would be appreciated. And please note, when you toss the innkeeper coins your money does not miraculously restore itself, you are actually losing money, luckily however most of you seem to already be adapting yourself to the rogue's life, having managed to reduce costs or even avoid paying board altogether! Talk about slippery! :happy34:
Also money exchanges! To buy equipment you must ASK the npc, it should be at the end of your post. I will then pm the prices. You will then post what equipment you have bought. So free up your message system. After that's completed, you can return to normal rp, and start your new post something to the effect of "After a successful bargain you.." blah blah blah.
General prices that everyone is faced with I can post publicly, such as the cost of food and drink.
Here are the current values of copper to silver to gold, because I don't know the warcraft III version. More exotic forms of currency aren't available in 'the nest' at least not to you.
Money values, Alliance coin.
100 coppers = 5 silver = 1 gold
Relative prices of the Inn.
A plate of food = 2 copper
A solid meal = 3 copper
A mug of ale = 1 copper
A large mug of ale = 2 copper
A small room (two man) = 8 copper
Merchant class room (four man) = 15 copper
Large 'opulent' room (six person) = 1 silver

100 coppers is the equivalent of 5 silvers (20: 1 ratio)
5 silvers is the equivalent of 1 gold (5:1 ration)

Fantastic! Another player!
It doesn't really matter when you join, it's what you join with. You'll just have to go through a little rigamarole before I can let you participate however.
Throw me a character sheet on this thread, the details you'll have to cover are-
Name:
Race:
Gender:
Class:
Description:
History:
Skills (and/or spells):
Bias:
You can include what weapons your dude is most familiar with, or if he has a fav weapon. But most equipment you have will be yours and mine alone to know about, so don't cover your equipment in too much detail, if at all.
The sequence of things will be much like this,
You post Char sheet.
I suggest changes.
Repost sheet.
I'll send you equipment and money.
You post me what you have accepted and then you play!
Blyne Siether
16-05-2005, 08:43 PM
Name: Siether
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Class: …Technically Mage
Description: He is slightly taller than the average man, and slightly heavier built. Has long dark hair, and would be considered fairly normal, apart from his expensive clothes and equipment. Would be considered a non-descript well to do human, apparently a rarity these days…
After many years of studying arcane arts under Malofonus, a powerful mage, Siether is slightly arrogant. He can get irritated by his own, and other people shortcomings and mistakes. Siether is an intelligent man, but now, after his apprenticeship ended he lacks any goal or meaning in his life. While he enjoys helping others, Siether is a very temperamental man, who can keep his cool in a crisis, and deal with the problem effectively and rationally… or crouch in a ball and gibber. He sometimes can show apparently never ending patience, or explode in a rage at the slightest thing. He is smart and cynical. If questioned about his personality he might suggest that, yeah, maybe he does have a few problems.
While he wouldn’t consider himself a coward, he recognizes defeat, and can give up if he thinks he won’t win. While it is true he has never lost a battle, this is primarily because he avoids any battle he is not confident of winning.
History: Siether was the son of a nobleman. At a fairly young age of 8, Siether was spotted by a passing mage who recognized his talents, and offered to take him as an apprentice. Siether amazed his new master by his ability to master of all magical theory and understanding of the deepest secrets of magic. He amazed him even more by his ineptitude at performing even the simplest of spells. After two years of hard study Siether had managed to produce a fireball, however failed to progress from that stage. Siether was then abandoned by his old master and taken up by Malofonus. Now at the end of his studying he can just about manage a mediocre fireball, but his other magic is erratic at best. He does however have a large store of lore derived from his a decade of study. His frustration with magic led him to train with a sword. Now age 24 his is a competent swordsmen, but is not a match for any real warrior. Due to his extensive learning Siether has little experience in the outside world, but his natural paranoia more than makes up for his slight naivety.
Skills: Due to his unusual natural talents, and misplaced training, Siether has an odd set of skills
His magical skills are pretty much non-existent, however he can produce a powerful fireball at will now, and can rare occasions manage a more complex spell.
Quite strong physically, but as he was primarily a mage he could not fight an experienced warrior, with sword alone.
Competent swordsman.
Clever, but perhaps not as clever as he thinks he is. Knows lots of lore.
Competent rifleman.
Bais: Siether has no kind of major racial bias, but dislikes most non-humans as he considers them untrustworthy, however as he dislikes and distrusts most humans this does really count…

Good question, I had been wondering myself. I've tried to pm MK but he hasn't logged in for a while. Must be net problems.
I think that for the moment we can just treat him like a pm. If you want I'll do Monkey King's post this time, or you can simply post something yourself. As long as you don't post as him you have one post power. Then we can keep him in the background till he logs back in.

Ok so I will pm Yutza with my idea for getting out of the puzzle, and probably get Grorg injured so that he can just stay with the group without doing anything. seems as though something big is on the other side of the pears, I wonder what the lich king/alakon is planning?
Alakon
20-05-2005, 07:11 AM
I wouldn't go so far as to injure Grorg, I think MK would be severely annoyed if he finds his character piled under 3 miles of solid rock. I'd just have him as a fairly neutral dude. In fact, not to offend Mk in anyway but why out of the entire collective pool of wisdom and knowledge would you pick a bear for his insight? As far as you know, he could just be a big furry animal.
BTW, I was meant to say 'treat him as an NPC' not a pm in my earlier post.
My bad.
Uh, Blyne Seither, if you are still with us, it might pay to check your pm.

IMPURTUNT ANNUNCAMENT!
I just found the left shoe to go with my right one, neat huh?
Oh, and as a sidenote, I would like you to think very seriously at this point, at least a good thirty seconds, on where you want to go with your character.
You can't expect me to do it for you, I'm here to represent the world in general, you guys are the ones who are playing your characters.
So, I would like you all to give some thought to your characters, maybe some revealing character moments, make enemies or friends. Your character's dreams perhaps.
Though some things are probably left unspoken. I'm just saying this because I would really like to work with schemes and plots that you guys have, I'd like to see dramas unfold and great sagas told, not just the one that I'm working on. Don't be afraid to swing great big hammers of thought at the storyline.
But you guys are doing great so far, I'm having fun even though we've barely started.
If anyone has thoughts, or anything they'd like to hammer out, feel free to pm me, I'm online fairly frequently.
In case anyone is worried thouigh, I tend not to post until you have, definitely not when we come to a pivotal character moment like now.
Entauru, that's your cue.
Hmmm, now does this go with my white or my brown shoe...? :chinny:

This is the second time this guy has done this. Firstly, do not hijack threads - it's f**kin' rude. Secondly, think for one infinitesimal milisecond. Is your problem to do with the technical aspects of WoW, or to do with roloplaying. Exactly, so sod off to the technical forum.

Name: Tarian Avanti
Race: Human
Age: 21
Class: Paladin
Height: 5'10''
Weight: 110 lbs, or thereabouts.
Description: Small of frame and stature. Fair skinned with dark brown hair, a long scar runs down her right cheek and down her neck, legacy of a wound received as a child in the raid that killed her parents. Due to the injury, she speaks in quiet tones, as her throat was badly damaged. Sharp, grey eyes, complete the picture.
Personality: Silent, mostly. Hardship in her childhood made her withdrawn and slightly bitter. Her cynical outlook on life was sometimes conflicted with her Paladin training. She tends to brood, and to brush off people that she doesn't know, or doesn't like. However, once a friend is made, she will protect them with her life, if need be.
Skills: Favors the one-handed sword with a shield. Due to her smaller build, she believes that avoiding a blow (or mitigating it with a good parry or shield) is much better then taking the hit. Also, she rejects the idea that a Paladin shouldn't be able to use a ranged weapon. Honor or not, sort it out once the other guy is dead. Also, she knows how to use a 2-handed hammer.
Has some small knowledge of herbalism/medicine from her mother. While not formally trained, she can recognize some healing herbs.
Very bad at negotiations and bargaining. Favoring a more... "direct" approach, diplomacy has never been her strong point.
Equipment: Hmmm... the usual? However, she usually wears something with a high collar, or a scarf, something like that, to hide the scars.
History: An only child, she grew up in a small village near Horde lands. Her father was a retired soldier, and her mother was the village herbalist. One day, a large raiding party of orcs descended upon the village when she was about age 12. Killing everyone they saw, Tarian was badly cut on the side of her face, and a large gash was cut down her throat, seriously wounding her. However, the blow was not fatal. (Or there would not be much of a story, would there? Nooo...) A few hours after the raid passed, a priest, who was passing through, saw the devestation. Coming across the wounded girl, he thought her lost, until she started coughing up blood again.
Realizing she was still alive, he quickly tried curing her. The healing magics saved her life, but failed to remove all traces of the injury. Not knowing what to do with her, he left her at a nearby village's aid station. Once she fully recovered, she left to join the ranks of the Paladins, in order to defend the innocent to the best of her ability.
Bias: Hates Undead with a passion, but reserves a special hatred for orcs, due to the raid which killed her parents, and left her badly wounded. While she may appear cold or uninterested, she cannot forget the grief they have cost her.
The healing magic of a priest saved her life, so she feels endebted to priests who follow the schools of healing, not destruction. (She's never met an undead priest, so doesn't know what to think about them.) Always favoring form over function, she dresses plainly, and NEVER dresses up. (In a dress, etc.)
