Rich Thorium Veins and Mining

I was wondering the best place to mine Rich thorium veins. I have been doing it in Eastern Plaguelands, but recently someone told me Sithilus. I can't stand doing it in Ungoro. I know you can find some in Burning Steppes. But overall where is the best place to find these veins in your opinion?

My concern is EP is starting to be over farmed, and want to find some new place, that may not be as convenient for some to get to.

I tend to hang out at the northern side of the Burning steps and just ride back and forth. On my server, Burning steps is usually pretty empty and there isn't much compitition for the veins. EP does get farmed a lot and sithilus is another good place but is better for rogues as they can stealth into caves easily and steal some swag.

To say the least, it won't be easy to find a really good place for rich thorium like Tanaris is for mithril.

Well, Sith, is an incredible place. However, it's kind of a 'rogues club' and to a lesser extent druids., more rogues because of all the stuns/disorients which will allow you to stun-->mine-->disorient-->mine-->vanish-->move on to the next node.

it's definitly the highest concentration of it in the game though.

I haven't mined in the Charred Vale but if it can turn up more than 40 mithril in one circle i could give it a whirl.

For Mithril I suggest the south of the Badlands, and the Black Dragonwhelp area. Once you have a mount, you can easily ride past all the elite drakes, and the areas in the south with the Rock Elementals have a whole bunch of Mithril deposits. The Ogre Cave also has one or two deposits normally.

Ya, I mined the Badlands exclusively for mithril when doing the mithril order quests. Lots of it there.
