Umm, I just tried connecting to WoW for like, the millionth time to see if it was up and it started to go through the checklist to get to my characters, when normally it should of showed my characters, it asked what realm I wanted to play in, fearing the worst it assigned me to the same realm as before but now all my characters are gone...What just happened? lol

it happened to me too but this has happened before as well. It means that the servers are coming back up but the characters are not loading yet. Give it more time they will come back probably in another 3 hours or so.

For anyone behind a router, I suggest that you forward ports 6112, 3724, and 6881-6999. It should help tremendously.

Do you know what the specs are for setting the forwarding?

There is a box for the name of the application...what do i put there? for port 6112 and 3724, what do i do when it wants a range from x to x but there is only one port? What's TCP UDP and BOTH under protocol...what do i put for the ip address....192.168.1.[0] is what it has. Do I enable??? I am utterly confuzzled.

3 hours is too long...I got disconnected from server in the middle of a duel and everyone just stopped moving, now, I had been lagged out before ans was getting some lag from the patch and stuff, so I figured I would relog and it would be normal again like it always was, now I've been trying to get in for around 3 hours already. This is the time when I actually get to play, so this is the time I kinda want to be playing, not waiting for 6 hours to get my characters back :chinny:

To get your IP address click Start>Programs>Accessories>and click Command Prompt

Once it's opened type ipconfig and press ENTER

that should display your ip address, if on win9x go to run... in the start menu and type winipcfg and press enter, a box should pop up with it

you know..considering you chose a hunter first character..you might enjoy a druid, they're very fun characters to play. all your shapeshifting forms, you can really mix it up...and druid cat form can stealth

only two races for warlock are undead and orc, i'd go undead for the underwater breathing...hide underwater in pvp situations for long periods of time...300% it's nice to have..and since you're not a healer you can consume corpses to regain health...however you'll prob be doing first aid or have food on you so that doesn't really matter..the immunity to fear,sleep,and charm is very effective..someone puts a spell on you you click a button and it's gone..and shadow resistance is good for fighting other warlocks...orc is all around more geared towards a hunter =/

Actually the underwater breathing racial bonus is worthless for a lock- you can cast that on yourself and others 10 min with no cooldown...
