How can I see what my ranged crit % is? I know I can mouse over the attack icon (melee) and the pop up will tell me my crit % for melee, but since I respecced and added % crit for range, that number hasn;t changed. Is there a way to see this number?
Thx

short answer is you can't :(
If you download a mod that tracks your hits (CT_Mod has this) ctmod.net it'll track your hits, misses, dps, crits, etc.
I have +5% crit with talents and +4% crit with gear and ct_mod says I crit about 12% of the time with auto-shot at level 60 with about 260 agility.
Though it seems like I crit more often than that...

haha yeah I have ctmod, but my titan bar at the top covers the dps monitor and I can't figure out how to move the monitor =\
I know what you mean about it seeming like you crit more than that. it seems like I crit every 2 or 3 shots but I know my crit % can't be that high at level 43 with ~200 agility (1% to crit every 43 agility so about 5%), the 5% talents, and 1% crit helm...

Well that kinda blows. I'd like to know by seeing the % in a window, to know for sure that my dragonscale gauntlets are actually increasing my % crit or not. I shouldn't need to use a 3rd party UI (which, btw I do use, but that's beside the point) to see this info.

59 agi gives 1% crit to normal ranged attacks.
I am unsure if shots count as normal ranged or spell ranged (havent really looked into it much) so its either they are based on your int, which as a hunter is not going to be much above 130 or so.
My crit chance is around 15% ish, but very much depends on what figting (fight a lower level and will always crit alot more than in fighting a higher level) So probably have 16% crit fighting 5 levels or lower than myself. However fighting same level elites my crit chance is some what reduced toa roudn 10%.
But to answer your original questing. Its one of the many things blizzard didnt add into the game (which is raqther annoying) The other annoyign thing for me is no way to show in the combat window JUST the damage done to me/my pet, and the damage i do. Since it will then show if i select "Hostile players damage" it shows their damage to all around and so on.
The annoyancies... anyway i am going off on a tangent, cya.

open up the CTmod menu and click the move frames box. Then you can hold right click and drag the dps meter around. You can also hold left click and move your portrait/bars and your target potrait/bars around.
53 agi = 1% crit huh...well I guess that works out about right with what ctmod says.
5% talents, 4% gear, 260/53 = 5% agi = 14% pretty close to the 12% the mod tells me...
anyway, still annoying that you can't see it, but I'm more annoyed that it takes hunters 53 agility for 1% crit when every other class is much lower than that. How is this fair?

Hunter's also get 2 AP per agility. If it would rise at the rate of a rogue (30 agi for 1% crit) or warrior (20 agi for 1%), it would be overpowering as our shot damage would also be very high due to AP. Additionally, we do 2x crits opposed to 1.5 of spells and with talents (which every hunter should have) we do 2.5 multiplier crits. So it all pays off in bigger crits but just less of them.
