Hi guys,
Since I had well over 200 reports from all kind of things that went wrong with the previous release I have decided to close them up. I have fixed quite some things with the 1.7.0.1. release and it was getting really messy and impossible to figure out if something has been solved or not with the latest changes.
So if you are still receive and error, or are having problems, please check if you are running version 1.7.0.1. of the client. If you are not, please download it and install it. If you are running the correct version and you still have problems, feel free to post them here and I will get back to you ASAP.
Whenever a problem is reported in here, I will try to simulate it on my side. Once I can do that, I can start to search for the cause of the problem and try to fix it. If I can't reproduce the error it will be hard to solve it.
I will also try to apdate the posts you guys make and indicate if I was able to reproduce the problem or if it will be fixed. This way you guys will also get a little more feedback from us.
Regards,
Annunaki
P.S. : If you are getting BDY parser errors and you are using some Mods which modify the ToolTip please post the name of the mod here, so we can check it out.

Let me first say thanks for your hard work Ann and Rush. I'm sure that your both working extremely hatd and probably feeling overwhelmed, but I want you both to know that we appreciate you.
The reason I am posting though is that I excited downloaded the new updater, installed it, and went to upload my data. Immedietly the exported icon turns green and I get a send email widow up on the screen. The icon says I've generated an error, and when I try to send the mail it hangs for awhile, and then I get a connection time out. Any ideas? Thanks
keep getting ERR : PARSER : BDY Parse Error : 1006 : End-of-file expected when i try and upload, use the new uploader :)

Received the Files I needed, was able to reproduce it, simple parser error, will be fixed with the next release. I will give the current version a day or two, so the next release should be there on saturday. That way I can fix some of those Parser Errors at the same time.

Ecclesia & Wall
You guys have probably something in your logged data which we didn't expect, this could be cause by a few things ( An addon adding some stuff where we don't want it, or maybe even us forgetting something ).
In both cases it is a good idea to use the Error Reporter which will pop up, and in the message you can also give us a little info on who you are and what you did when you received the error. If for example in the message you would add your Forum name then I could easily modify your message here to indicate that I received your files and am working on it.
No worries though, I found another Parser issue myself after uploading my for the third time with the new release.
BDY Parser Error will happen, and there will always be a possibility that one of those will pop up, but the more users we have reporting them, the more of those errors we can fix.
Amithral,
I had that once as well, but havn't been able to reproduce it. I think in my case it went away when I exited the application and restarted it again. I will investigate this further though.

Ann, thanks for the post. I tried to upload again and the same thing happened. When I go to send you the error report I get a "Socket Error 10060 Connection timed out".
I would love to send you my error log, but it seems I can't even do that. Any suggestions?

Ecclesia,
Are you running some kind of FireWall ? Because that error message is somehow related to you not being able to connect to our server using the client application.

That was the first thing I checked too. I'm running Mcafee Firewall but the wwnexporter is approved to have full access. What is really strange is that I used to be able to upload data fine. Not really sure what to try next, but when I get home from work I'll look to see if there is something in the firewall I overlooked. Very weird.

The line # and time of crash is different every time. I don't get a message to send or anything.

Hi,
Well, I'm having this problem from time to time as well. What Cybrey told me in the past is that you could get those errors if a lot of users are uploading at the same time, or if the server gets loaded somehow.
It is starting to look strange though, because sometimes I get it when my upload is at 5 %, other times when it is finished 90% of it's upload.
I'll talk to Rusther and Cybrey about this, maybe the source is something completely different than what we were thinking.
Thanks for the report, we'll investigate this one.

Get the same error as ecclesia, when rightclicking the uploader symbol immediately a mailwindow opens, the symbol turns green and say me i've generated an error. Sending mail seems also not to work, but no error message. Using Agnitum Outpost Pro firewall, but the programm has full access.
In the error log i find the following line: ERR : PARSER : BDY Parse Error : 1006 : End-of-file expected.

Hi,
The error you have is because there is something in your data file which we didn't expect. If possible send your file to wwndata@worldofwar.net
The file we need is the wwnexport.lua file which can be found in the WTF/Account/<YourAccountName>/SavedVariables folder within your WoW Installation directory.

Starting the client when behind an authenticated proxy results in it failing to contact the web server and the client shuts down. However uploads and logging in correctly use IE browser settings and work fine (after I have started the client on a different network).
Not quite a bug, more a usability thing; can you save the current install dir to registry so that the installer automatically points to the same place upon upgrade? I know it's lazy but I find it annoying to have to keep navigating to the same place every time a new version is out.

I just cant the thing to work
I have tried everything I can think off to get it to work, i even disabled my Firewalls.
Everytime I try and upload i get this error msg.
==========================================================
ERR : Data file not found ( D:\World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\\SavedVariables\wownetexport.lua ), try logging into WoW with a character and try again.
==========================================================
Then I get this msg
==========================================================
ERR : PARSER : BDY Parse Error : 1006 : End-of-file expected
==========================================================
any ideas? wud u like me to mail my lua file to you?

I also heard cybrey say that, but I doubt it, I had this flaw during the entire run of version of wow, 1.5? I don't think that the server was loaded for a month.

OK, so I keep trying to upload. Ann, I uninstalled the exporter, deleted the folder in my addon directory and then reinstalled. Then I tried to upload immedietly before running WoW (so not to include the addon data you don't want), but the same thing happens. Green icon, and email send comes up and then times out. I don't have any other ideas, so unless you have one I guess I am unable to import until something changes. It is nice to see that I am not the only one having the same problems though. If anyone can, I would love the help. Thanks
