Hi,

If you received a Parser Error you will be presented with a Mail Dialog, which will send your file to us so we can check it. If on this screen you entered your EMail address you should have received a personal reply from me.

Currently there are some minor parser errors that were reported and on rather serious ones. I have already fixed the minor ones and those will be included in the next release. The more serious ones have something to do with people running some addon which is modifying the Game's Tooltip.

To get the NPC Title ( like Paladin Trainer ) we had to resort to scanning the games tooltip and see if there was something on the second line. Currently we havn't found anything which would give us that information except scanning the tooltip. Some users are running Mods which modify the tooltip though, and that is causing some issues.

That's probably the cause of my errors. I run enhTooltips, which is a required mod for Auctioneer.

I am getting the same error when I try to upload. And I am running the same mod. So that might be it.

I hope either it isn't it or that it can be fixed. I love my Auctioneer and would be loath to get rid of it.

same here ... running Auctioneer and having upload issues with 1.7.0.1 :(

Hi,

I don't think Auctioneer is the Mod which is interfering with the ToolTips, because I am running that one too, and I have no problems at all ( well at least after a Parser Fix which should be available this weekend ).

Are u using the "QuestLevel" Mod or any mod that adds the levels of quests to the in Game Quest Log?
If so try removing it then, deleting your existing wwndata savedvariable file and rerunning WoW.
This used to cause issues in previuos versions...

I use TipBuddy (http://ui.worldofwar.net/ui.php?id=607) and I'm getting "ERR : PARSER : BDY Parse Error : 1006 : End-of-file expected". Dunno if they're related. I don't think the email sent either... I closed down WWNE after a bit and it generated about a dozen application errors whilst closing down too :(

As much as I love to help you guys, WWNE is not an essential mod for me. I think I'm just gonna disable it for now and if one of my mods that actually effects the game in a positive way whilst I'm playing interferes with WWNE< then I'm sorry but I'll just leave WWNE off. If you tell me which files to send you I'll create an email myself. Does the email side of things have a requirement I'm not aware of?

Hi,

Yes, that one ( Quest Level Mod ) used to cause problems with 1.7.0.1 but the Parser Errors resulting of that should be fixed in 1.7.0.2.

Some of the Parser Errors caused by TipBuddy were fixed in 1.7.0.2 as well, but I have received some bad files again yesterday and today which give other parser errors due to the TipBuddy one, some will be fixed with the next release.

There are still some other Parser Errors popping up though, some have already been fixed, but I'm gonna wait till the end of the week to release 1.7.0.3 which will fix another set of parser errors. Otherwise I have to release a new version every day. But if you want you can PM me your Mail address and I could send you a new Parser version by mail for the time being.

Would it help if I sent you a list of mods used and any data files?

Hi FearBoy,

Yes please, you can send that EMail to wwndata@worldofwar.net

The file I need is the WoWNetExport.lua file which can be found inside the WTF/Account/<YourAccoutName>/SavedVariables/ folder.

I don't get it. It was uploading Sunday (before I updated the WWN Data Exporter) when I last posted.

But now it isn't uploading since I have updated to 1.7.0.2.

EDIT: After I read the previous post I asked myself if I was uploading the wrong file. I pointed it to the file above and it appears to have worked. (I feel confused. :chinny: )

Did I miss something?

Hi,

Well the file you should upload is the WoWNetExport.lua file which can be found inside the WTF/Account/<YourAccoutName>/SavedVariables/ folder.

But normally the Client should be able to find that file itself if you pick the Upload Now option from the Menu. If it couldn't pick the file up by itself, then there might be something wrong with your registry keys or something.

I did an Upload File Special and it worked. I am not too sure as to why, but at least it's done :bigclap:

How does this file get created? I had one successful update and since then I have not been able to upload anything. After reading the quote above, I checked the directory on my PC and that files doesn't even exist. If I create a file there, launch WOW, will the program automatically update the file? Is there something I have to do within my WOW client to get the data to parse to this file?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi,

My copy of the client runs fine so far, but my GF's has been giving here the "Error generated check i..." message as at the begining of this thread. Following Annunaki's directions we maged to upload here data finaly and all seems well. Not sure why the client was so unhappy when it uploaded fine witht the upload special method...

Hi,

Just in reply, my girlfriend and I have seperate accounts in WoW and in WWN and we have seperate machines. I may have used my WoW account to log into her pc when she first got the game to update it befor she did registration. It was a week or two after this that I started using WWN Data Uploader and then I showed her it and installed it on her machine after a further week or so. It could be that my account data remained on her machine from my first log in, but i think I only ever got as far as the character slection screen on her pc.

In referance to another question you or someone had a while back, both myself and my Girlfreind have only this addon for warcraft, it is the only one installed and the only one that has ever been installed, which sugests that other addons are not likely to be causing the same problem... well it seems less likely to me but what do i know???

Anyway hope that helps you fix this bug...

I just rembered another point i mentiond the first tiem i tried to submitt the above post.

When installing the client I had no troiuble on my PC but my girlfriends' PC would d/l the client from the site then started the install and her PC would then compalained that the .exe didnt exist??? I copied the file from my pc over to hers via the network and it ran the install fine. It was after this that we noticed the failing uploads, so either they didnt fail beofr the current patch or we didnt check that she was successfuly uploading. Anyway i didnt know it it was another sign/simptom so i thought i would post it here as it started at the same time.

Hi,

There is a problem with 1.7.0.3. Apparently in some cases it renders your Data file ( which we use to upload info ) corrupt. We are aware of this issue and it should be fixed in 1.8.0.1. together with a whole load of other bug fixes.

The reason 1.8.0.1. hasn't been released yet is because it contains some new things. Another reason is that we decided to give our client some extensive internal testing before releasing it to the public. In the past our client went live containing some nasty bugs ( like the 1.7.0.3. bug I mentioned ) and in the future we want to be sure our client contains as few bugs as possible before it is released to the public.

Hi,

It probably hasn't got anything to do with that. I have to say that 1.7.0.3. was a buggy release :-( Some users have the problem that they can upload once, but after that it always fails. It looks like in some cases the Data File becomes corrupt after the first upload. Your best bet is to delete the Data file after each upload with 1.7.0.3.

This is a temporary workaround though. Currently 1.8.0.2. is in internal testing which fixes a whole load of bugs, and introduces some new features. If our internal testing goes well, it should be available somewhere this week.

One of my characters does not appear to be updating the Inventory and equipment sections. The upload appears to perform ok according to the panels displayed during the upload.

Hi,

Please include as much info as possible. For example in your case it might help us if you told us WHICH character. I am trying to help everyone whenever I can. But if you guys don't supply us the correct info then there is nothing I can do.
