Hi,
I just installed this mod, ran WoW, logged in to one of my characters, and then tried to upload and I get a message saying that WWN Data Uploader can't find any data files. My friend also has this same problem. Can anyone advise what is going wrong?
Thanks.

Hi,
Are you playing with a translated version of WoW ? And did you check the FAQ to see if the WoWInstallation registry key is there ? Were you using Upload Now ?

I have the same problem, and I'm using english (eu), pressing Upload Now, checked for the registry key. Got anymore ideas? :)

Hi,
So there is a Registry Key there for the WoW Installation folder and it points to the correct place where the WoW Client can be found ?

Sure, my WoW installation is located on E:\World of Warcraft, the entries in registry HKLM for Blizzard Entertainment/World of Warcraft are
GamePath E:\World of Wracraft\WoW.exe
InstallPath E:\World of Wracraft\
I'm a bit clueless, would like to use this program...
im using US version of wow, ther are a reg key
GamePath D:\Games\World of Warcraft\WoW.exe
InstallPath D:\Games\World of Warcraft\

Hi,
Can you guys check if there is a wownetexport.lua file in the following directory :
<WoWInstallFolder>/WTF/Account/<YourAccountName>/SavedVariables/
If the file isn't there, then log into WoW, and on the Character Selection screen click on the AddOns button. Check if the WoWNetExport addon is listed in the AddOns list. Make sure it is checked.
If the AddOn isn't there then probably something went wrong during the installation of the Client.
Keep me informed on this, so we can look for a solution together.
Regard,
Annunaki

Hi Annunaki,
yes, the file wownetexport.lua (and also a .bak-file from yesterday) is in the <WoWInstallFolder>/WTF/Account/<MyAccountName>/SavedVariables/
in the file are correctly saved the infos of all the 6 chars i have on the server, so this part works perfect, the addon is activated in the addonsection of the loginscreen, only the upload doesn't wanna work...hmmm, i dunno if any other mod can block this, i'm no programmer :chinny:

Hi Again,
I am release 1.8.0.8 right now which fixes some Parser problems. Could you try again with that version. If Upload Now doesn't work yet for you, can you try using the 'Upload File Special' one and go to the folder I mentioned and manually select the file there ?
Please keep me informed in this, so I can maybe send you a build with extensive debugging code to track down the Issue.

Hi,
Ok guys, please take the following steps. Quite the Client Application. Go have a look at the folder in which you installed the client application. If there is a WWNExporter.csl file there, delete it.
Now restart the application, and pick Upload Now, it will of course fail again. Now go have a look in the client's install folder again and email me the WWNExporter.csl file to wwndata@worldofwar.net
That file contains some debugging info which could help me to track down your problem.

I can't see WWNExporter.csl anywhere.... but I have another problem now when trying to upload using Upload File Special:
"Only one top level element is allowed in an XML document.
Line: 2
<b>Notice</b>: Undefined variable: cha."
And all files are where they're supposed to be, like wownetexport.lua.
I'm using flagRSP mod as well. Don't know if that could be causing a conflict.

Hi,
Yeah I seem to be getting that error too on WWNData. I think it has something to do with Rushter adding a new server yesterday and moving some files.
I will check it out.
