Had anyone put any thought into creating a Konfabulator search widget for WWNData?

I did a quick test by changing the URL for a existing search widget, and I can make it work. But I am not much of a artist and would like to put in proper graphics. Do the WWN devs/Loaded Network have any requirements for a project like this?

The Requirements are :

If you can make it work, and you can provide support, feel free to implement it :-P

Would it be possible to get some "source" graphics for WWNData site so I could make a nice version?

The Konfabulator website is:

Basicly I am looking for the sun in blue circle and the borders that make up the box overlaying it. I expanded the box with the text and put the search prompt in there with a prompt before it. It will look nice once it has proper alpha blending.

David: Loving your widget and looking forward to seeing a "tweaked" graphical version.

Rush: I sent you my e-mail too, could you drop me the logo psd too, so I could fix up the icon for the firefox search plugin as well?

Hi,

I love this idea, and it kinda inspired me to try out something out on my Macintosh. It would be nice if I could create a Dashboard plugin which does the same thing, and that is what I will try to do ( if I find the time to do so ).

Do you have any screenshots of your Konfabulator thingie ? If so, please post them here, so I can 'grab' some of your ideas :-P

Here is the image I use to put into the Konfabulator object.

Once Rush gets me the graphics, I should be able to make it look nice.

Ok, I got the graphics from Paul. Thanks Paul :happy34:

So now I have created a much better looking version. I have posted to Konfabulator's Gallery, but are waiting for it to be approved.

Here is a copy of it on my server.

Konfabulator works on both Win and Macs. I was not able to test the widget on a mac though.

Give it a go! :thanks:

Is there a way to turn off the big decal?

I have this floating topmost ingame and it'd be nice if I just had alittle search bar which I could enter things which would spawn open my search engine.

Hmm, never thought that it would float over the game. I'll have to try that, and I can make a mini version.

It most certainly does.
I play WoW in Windowed mode. So it uses the Windows desktop more efficiently when I task back and forth.

I 've just set Konfabulator up to run that widget in TopMost so it's always visible. I tuck it in between my map and the target window.

When I'm looking for something I enter it into the search bar, hit enter and FireFox opens up in the background with the results.

Makes it much easier to be able to search for something when you can see the name of it (spelling) right beside it. :)
