How to upload a char?

How can i upload my chars to the worldofwar. net?

After logging into the WWN Data and choosing to Upload Now i get an error saying the Client was unable to find any Data Files.

Did you use the Options menu item and specify on the Options form where you WoW Client is installed ?

If you are still having problems, do this:

Right click on the W icon in your system tray (on Windows, in the corner where the clock is) and select Upload Special. In the box which pops up, go to
World of Warcraft/WTF/Account/<your account name/SavedVariables/wownetexport.lua

You should then be able to upload.

but only do that if you set your WoW Install Directory using the Options screen AND the Upload Now doesn't work or picks up the wrong file.

Otherwise you might miss some of our Features like Multiple Account Support and allowing you to choose which characters you want to upload. And in the future more stuff will be added :-)

I have the same problem as the orginaly poster of this thread. When I do the step of Uploading File Special I get an Error Message: Upload prevented as locale is not supported. I still havent been able to load my characters profile. Any other suggestions? :chinny:

This error indicates that you are not using the English WoW Client, or you are playing with a non English Language Pack.

Can you tell us which WoW Client you are using ( German ??? )

to fix it make sure you have exited WoW then it works fine

I have a trial account and on my computer it hasn't got any SavedVariables but when my friend played on my computer his SavedVariables was under his name. :shocked:
I don't know but I think you don't get SavedVariables for a trial account. :undecided:

I've got the same problem. I am on an English WoW client with english chracters? Is there any way to double check my settings? Is there anything else that I can do to upload my character files.

Make sure the client is loading Out of Date add-ons

how can i upload a character when i only have an apple computer? cuz the client cannot be installed on a mac.
