I just got done with an hour and a half WSG. It was pretty sweet. Went down 2-3 but it was still sweet. Hordies got 1000+ Bonus honor. Alliance got about 700+ along with about 40-90 HKs for everyone. It was pretty sweet.
Alliance almost won though. Would of been sweet if we did.

1.5 hours in one wsg... wow. Isn't it a lot more honour to do like I did, win 3 wsg in half an hour? :p

Well yeah, but winning isn't always that easy.

I remember one of my early WG fights with my rogue, level 40 at the time, went at least that long. Crippling Poison on a dagger lasts half an hour, and he used it 3 times before it ended.

I've been in one of those -- lasted nearly 2 hours. Went through a LONG time when both flags were out, neither captured the other's flag.
Oddly enough, it was one of the few times I went into a WSG with an Alliance toon and one of the few times I've been in WSG when the Alliance won. (Not that I'm saying it happened because I was there).

Now that the honor is totaled up, I got 1,444 total out of it. Would of had about 1700ish if I had won.

Awesome, yeah I had a Warsong today that lasted about as long, same thing around 70 HKs for most. We (Alliance) ended up winning, although the first round toook longer than the last 4 (won 3-2) combined lol.

Ah, I remeber on Llane, a few weeks ago, we had a 2 DAY old Alterac Valley. Apparently the Generals got bugged (The guards would instantly respawn once we killed them, making the Generals nearly impossible to kill). I suppose a GM finnally took notice and ended the match, because when I logged on hoping to get into the match again, it was gone... boy that was fun, got a ton of Reputation that match :)
Happened on Earthen Ring as well...but the game was not bugged...just went back and fro for over 48 hours...

I've had a WSG last 6 minutes, and the longest one I've played I believe was about 45 minutes. That was like, the only one I had lost. Just because after 30-40 minutes us Horde people get aggrivated and just start rushing alone because we just want to get done with it, whereas they would sit together and only have 1 rogue at each position where they already held the flag. They would suck at the games that lasted less than 30 minutes, we'd usually win in under 15, but once they got completely strategized we would just have to either learn how to work together again, or take a kick in the balls.

Sadly, I've also had a 6 hour Alterac Valley. I had to quit at 5 hours, then, it turned out my side (The Horde, of course.) won.

long games really ruined WSG. It is by far my favorite BG becasue it takes the most skill/coordination. AB requires a lot of teamwork, but if you're not good at your class you will get eaten alive at WSG.
As I said before on another thread, I run with a stable group of guys that pretty much dominate BGs. The problem was that because many of the good alliance groups knew they weren't going to beat us playing "normal," they would resort to insane stall tactics. This means bringing 5 paladins/priests that just stand around the druid that has the flag. Ever tried bringing down a druid in all tier 2 (all tier 1 back when WSG was just out) with priests in full transcendence healing her (and themselves)? It is seriously next to impossible.
Tactics like this made us resort to cheap responses that we normally would NEVER have done - such as using the Judges Gavel to make the carrier drop the flag. It's cheap; but it sure beats a game that wouldnt ever end.
Also, the amount of cheating by both sides is pretty ridiculous. Wall hacks, hiding in places that make you evade bugged, MC/BOP, etc. were just totally ruining the game.
I wish WSG would come back, but i'm content to play AB :/

I just beat my record.
Last night I was in there for 2 hours and 15 minutes.
Came out with a 3-1 win, 1,808 bonus honor, and about 130-140 honor kills, with about 2400 honor total. Brining my weeks honor upto 3000ish.
Well, WSG emissaries on Earthen Ring this weekend (and everywhere else I guess)..so everyone is hanging out in WSG.
I bet it is fun for the fixed team...but to me who joined 4 PuGs...it was like "I WANT MY ARATHI BASIN.....NOW!!!"
We lost 3 times 3:0 in quick games against fixed teams. Lo and behold...500 honor for us and 3000 for them. Plus I got about 1000 honor more from kills.
The fourth time I gave it a shot today. PuG vs PuG..and after 30 minutes it is 0:0 and zero bonus honor from flags, about 1300 from kills. That's when ppl left.
With the arrival of AB, WSG just deserves to be non-existent in the lv 60 range, as far as I am concerned. What a futile attempt. At least in AB you get out of it with some honor..and it is definitely over in less than 30 minutes.
Of course I am a bit pampered when it comes to honor...70 000 last week and you see how the Big Shots rake it in at 300 000 and more...

Well, on our server, the alliance has taken to simply having 8 people on defense. We had two 1 hour games, back to back. I hope they learn that simply playing defense will certainly aggravate your enemies, but it certainly won't help them win.
We won, 3-1, and 3-0.
