Though this is NOT an official thread, I still found it a good idea to clear up a few things about threads currently running on this forum...

The policy is essencially the same as the Fan Fiction forum. However, there are no moderators. Please do NOT use this defective feature to address non-appropriate voice, I beg everyone!

You can see a fairly larger number of threads, than those actually running as RP. The reason is, while some are in fact abandoned long ago, some Roleplays use multiple theads.

There are 2 Roleplays active at this moment: The World of Azeroth , and the Sweeping Tide . Both have a great deal of characters common, due to both plot reasons, and the lack of interested newcomers.

These roleplays consist of three threads: The RP thread is restricted to the story itself (no comments, please!), while the OOC thread is dedicated to address any comments, and post new character sheets ( you are free to enter this thread whenever you wish). The STF (story thus far) thread is created in favor of newcomers: you don't have to read 15+ pages to get the main points of the story, actually!!!

You are encouraged to join these Roleplays anytime you want. However, keep in mind, that you have to post your Character sheet to the (OOC) thread first!!! Don't enter the (RP) thread without announcing to others, that you are planning to do so... Use the (STF) Thread, and the latest posts, to find an appropriate entry point for your character(s). If I haven't mentioned it before: you are allowed to run multiple characters in the same RP (but don't abuse it: 2-3 chars are more than enough). Feel free to interact with NPC's or even play them for a short duration!!! These RPs use an overwhelming majority of Aliiance characters at the moment, but due to the nature of the storyline, those favoring Orcs, Trolls, Tauren, or even Undead, might also form valuable party (and forum) members.

Feel free to start a new thread if you have a good story arch, to take others' characters along!!! The first one to announce a new thread is usually regarded as DM (dungeonmaster): he/she has all the moderation privileges in that particular thread. The DM might also determine the course of the storyline as well. However, the already running threads use a somewhat different, consensus system. This means you can post your ideas onto the (OOC) or Private Message, and they will get voted over.

As you see, there are quite different people on this forum already, with different story-writing skills. Don't disappoint you, if you cannot write a page' worth wonderful sub-story! You won't be kicked out if you ane not able to write more than 10 lines each post. Those who don't have English as their first language, should not get disappointed, either. Just keep a close eye on the storyline you have joined, and keep up with others systhematically.

Good post. I'd like to add a few things about Hordie Chars.

They are more then welcome to join in the main party. This is like enhanced Fan Fiction here so let's say if two tauren an orc and a troll want to join in, they are more then welcome to join in the main party. We've bended a few things, and bending the Language won't be a problem. Heck, back in WCIII they all spoke the same language. After all, they held some fairly large councils.

As for no Moderator, I'm waiting on a reply from Elly as I applied for Moderator and the two forums I said I'd like to mod are this one and the Suggestions. As for me getting them, I dunno.

you may have a bigger chance then I ..had.. as my letter dissappeard instead of being sent, I had sent it but when I, after some week, asked Elly why I had not gotten a reply she had no clue whatsoever about what I was trying to say.
after that I just skippet the whole idea.... :xmas11:

Oh and btw, I think that you should try to write as much as you can, because these four line replys are cutting up the story and makes it really annoying to read, its like having a pizza but the pieces are hidden or spread out so you must find them to get some more..
or atleast I think so.

A mod here would be a good idea. But you'd have to bare a couple of things in mind.

First you'd have to be perfectly fluent in the language this forum is in. That means your understanding must be fully fluent, as well as your grammer, spelling and punctuation.

Also you'd have to be on the forum daily, every day of the week at least once with enough time to post or read all the posts made to make sure it was all going smoothly.

As long as they can do that and dont try to change everything, I've seen even the best of people go on power trips ^^, then I'm all for it.

Come on, people!! I see, that there are many interested spectators, who just entered this place as 'guest'. Now it would be time for you as well, to join our realm!!!

Just make an account on this forum (it is easy!), and join this place!!

a notice on 'presence': I would be satisfied if everyone could only make up 1-1 new post/week. It still appears, that we are still far below that average... Clearly, we are in need of 'new blood'

Oh, and try to avoid doubleposting. People will not wish to see your own story only, where a cooperative roleplay should be!

Well the main thing Arrinaya is it was the holidays. Not many people have had the time or the inclination to post storys and such. Give it a little time while people get over the new years and they'l be flooding back most likely.

isnt this thred sposed o be abought the rules of RP? and not who will be moderator? not nit picking or anything.

I have started a new chrac in 'The World of Azeroth', and i would just like to clear some things up for others that might find themselves in my shoes. If i am wrong abought this then please, dont hesitate to correct me.

The world of RP is alot bigger than the gaming world, on avrage, what would normally be minuets in the game, is hours, possibly days in RP, also, i have been lead to belive that Boats are out of bounds?

PS. if there is a forum moderator, or such like, delete my charc sheet in 'World of Azeroth RP', i put it there by mistake, soon as its done i can re-type in 'OOC'

PSS, i think that we are not getting any body new because they are affraid, or they feel intimidated by us lot, maybe because they feel that they do not reach our 'standard' in storytelling and our 'RP' skills. But hay, if you are reading this now, just remember, there are NO! standards, and skill is only gotten, if you take part. If you are doing something wrong, then you will be informed, so chill and come join us.:buddies:

hi everyone;o)

first of all i am new to WoW but not new to RPing in my time as RPer i've seen alot of RPing bad and good ones.BUT i have never seen any one else than ppl from WoW helping out newcomers to a RP Game and that is good, sure it gets tough sometimes to RP specaly when you can't see or don't know who is RPing and who is not.since i started playing WoW i've seen some use (()) when they go OOC and others most likely kids at the age of 8 or younger they don't use (()) they are OOC all the time when they are on WoW.anyway enough about that.but there are some ppl there making it a little hard to do RP on Moonglade but if we ignore that(and i bet its the same on all servers) then WoW we can say is the best RPG thats ever have been made:thumbsup: btw i have signed up on this site and you can email me if you find my email adress here(somewere):ponder:laughing: keep your RPing and do it well

Hi I'm new on this forum, I stumbled over it searching for some other people that play, chat and discuss WoW, and after have read most of your threads I wanted to join, especially the RP forum. I really want to start RPing in the RP that find place in the bar in BB, though I cant find any OCCthread for it so what do I do?

I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to post this comment, though I don't know where to post

If it's the game I think, there's a thread entitled "New WOW rpg by someone who doesn't play WOW" started by GrandMarshall. That is the ooc thread for it.
