Battle Ground Badges of Honor and Faction Commendations

This may cover several topics based on the information I'm looking for....

I have learned that by participating in the various BATTLE GROUNDS you automatically receive a MARK OF HONOR for each time you are a veteran of that particular event or battle (ie. Warsong Gultch Mark of Honor, Arathi Basin Mark of Honor) whether your side wins or looses. (Quests = FUELING THE WAR EFFORT and NATURAL RESOURCES in Darnassus)

On returning, the "Alliance Brigadier General" will offer you 25s for each set (5) of these Marks of Honor, that you turn in.

He also lists the following ITEMS:

PAST VICTORIES in WARSONG GULTCH (you receive a SILVERWING TALISMAN of MERIT) if your side wins that particular Battle.

PAST VICTORIES in ARATHI (you receive an ARATHI RESOURCE CRATE) if your side wins that particular Battle (which I assume contains Loot).

PAST EFFORTS in WARSONG GULTCH (Not sure how you get this one = WARSONG GULTCH RIBBON of SACRIFICE).

FACTION COMMENDATION SIGNETS
Also, each side (Alliance and Horde) apparently have Commendation Signets (or similar award for HORDE Capitals) that are given for accomplishing various tasks (???) and are specefic to each of the Capital Cities (Darnassus, Ironforge, Stormwind, etc.)

These can be given to a COMMENDATION OFFICER (ie. Officer Lunalight-Darnassus Commendations @ the Bank).

to clerify how these items are actually obtained and/or what they are used for and so forth, based on the information listed above.

This is apparently a whole different area of the Game that effects your Character's REPUTATION and HONOR Standings, that is not explored much for lack of participation and limited information available.

True. A win in either BG (Battleground) will give you 3 marks of honor, a loss will earn you one. **Note: Keep at least one slot open before the end of the BG to receive said mark** The faction gained on the turn in is with each (WSG,AB,AV) BGs faction. Getting a higher faction, along with a higher pvp ranking gives you access to certain goods/armor/weapons available from respective faction.

On returning, the "Alliance Brigadier General" will offer you 25s for each set (5) of these Marks of Honor, that you turn in.I dont know about this one. I turn them in 3 at a time to the same NPC and receive 1500xp and a reputation gain.

PAST EFFORTS in WARSONG GULTCH (Not sure how you get this one = WARSONG GULTCH RIBBON of SACRIFICE).These quests are the same as the one mentioned above, but were the OLD marks of honor. They changed the marks in a semi-recent patch, but wanted to give those the chance that were hoarding marks to turn in at one time the chance to still use them. You cannot earn them anymore (instead getting the marks of honor).

FACTION COMMENDATION SIGNETS
Also, each side (Alliance and Horde) apparently have Commendation Signets (or similar award for HORDE Capitals) that are given for accomplishing various tasks (???) and are specefic to each of the Capital Cities (Darnassus, Ironforge, Stormwind, etc.)This has NOTHING to do with PvP. These are given by helping the AQ war effort on your server. The turn ins are stacks of tradeskill goods in different levels (3 per tradeskill I believe, not all tradeskills have awards). You turn in a stack of say, silk bandages, and you receive X signets (and a crate of a green item and 2 scrolls). You can then turn these signets into an ambassador of the city of your choice (in your faction) and receive a certain amount of rep with chosen city. -OR- you can turn them into the General type, and receive a crate containing a green item and misc goods, but no Rep is given.
