<br><br><p>Some of you may have been following the recent events on the North American Server Dertheroc where the guild Imperial Order were apparently holding the server to ransom and refusing to open the Gates of Ahn Qiraj until they recieved 5000 gold from players on the server. Well it's not as serious as some may have thought. In an update this morning, the guild has now admitted it was a joke despite receiving some in-game cash from players.*Needless to say some thoguht it was funny and others didn't as highlighted in this <a href="http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.aspx?fn=wow-realm-detheroc&t=68390&p=1&tmp=1#post68390">thread</a>.* Imperial Order say the gates will be opened sometime in the near future. The <a href="http://www.kotaku.com/gaming/wow/terrorist-guild-holds-wow-server-hostage-155844.php">story</a> also made the pages of Kotaku this morning.</p>

That may be the funniest thing I have ever heard. Anyone one who would get mad over something like this has some serious issues.

Once when I was in boyscout camp a patrol in my troop kidnapped the camp's mascot. Which was a wooden tent named "Smiley". They left a ransom note that demanded 100 pizzas, among other things.

The camp officials do not have a sense of humor.

I've read some pages of that thread before. It would've been fun if not for all the flaming and foul language which is the only thing I'm seeing. Would've been so much more fun is this was a roleplaying realm, and they where making this all in-character. Now all I see is kids who want a ransom and other kids who flame them, to me I don't really care. I'm sorry but I can't take anyone serious on those boards.
