Ok, so I didn't exactly "raid" any of them, but I did have an awesome time running through them and taking some pretty cool screenshots. Here's my story for anybody that is interested. Just to let you know I am a level 57 mage on Dunemaul (US)!

Darnassus-
I started out my raid on Darnassus. I ran through Darkshore and was able to board the boat without having to get hit once. I made it on the boat where a lvl 43 NE Hunter sent his pet on me. I retaliated with a pyroblast that critted on his head, then followed up with a Fireblast that knocked him down for the count. Before the Boat left I killed the two guards "protecting" the boat. When the boat reached Darnassus I mounted up and sprinted to the portal into the city. When I exited the portal, I was surrounded by 4 lvl 55 guards who I forst Nova'd, Blinked and Mana Shielded. A nice little level 7 priest tried to hit me with something that I resisted, and a quick fireblast dropped her like the dirty rag she was. I reached the outskirts of Darnassus only to be knocked off my raptor by a level 62 elite Tree Guardian Giant. 2 level 55 guards hacked away at me, but my mana shield and AB trinket kept me alive as I ran for it. I decided to stop by Dolonaar, that nice little town for the Night Elves(similar to Razor Hill for Orcs/Trolls). I laid down one of their level 60 Forest Protectors and the three "Hunters of Darnassus(lvl 20-25)". http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j319/arstout/AncientProtector.jpg
I succesfully made it to the entrance of Aldrassil, the Noob zone where I took on 3 level 55 guards then the solo 55 guard. http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j319/arstout/osostrong.jpg I went into Aldrassil with my wonderful Owl that Kath bought me flying by my side. A bunch of level 1-3 NE's attacked me and I had a wonderful type of /yawning at them then Cone of colding or blizzarding them to death. I climbed up their tree house, http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j319/arstout/Upthetreeigo.jpg to the top, where the three guards attempted to send me packing. They of course failed, and I deemed myself "King of the Night Elves!" http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j319/arstout/KingoftheNEs.jpg After this stint, I went roof running back down to the forest floor. A level 51 Rogue attempted to put up a fight, but he made it an easy kill by not stunlocking me. I fought him(and waves of level 1-3, which are very annoying because they kept interrupting my cast) off for about 10 minutes before I got attacked by an inviisble lvl 60 NE Druid

http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j319/arstout/BWNEs.jpg Luckily he didnt corpse camp me and after running back to my body I laid waste on their trainers and made it into their nice little hole-in-the-tree. I decided that was enough and teleported to UC to catch the zeppelin to GG.

Stormwind-
After a nice flight on the Zep to GG, I made my way through STV killing off any alliance I saw. A nice battle with a 47 Mage left me crisp, but him burnt. I stopped by Darkshire got on the rooftop of their Inn and laid out a few alliance before continuing my way to Stormwind. Upon reaching Stormwind, http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j319/arstout/GatesofSW.jpg I encountered heavy resistance both by 60 Allaince, and the 55 guards protecting the town. I luckily made it in the front doors, and almost made it to their Cathedral Square, when a patrolling Level 62 Elite named something like “Thief Hunter” took away the last bit of health. A long corpse run back had me rezzing in a nice armorshop behind the counter drinking and eating. http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j319/arstout/SWdrinkbreak.jpg Once I had full health, I sprinted out of the shop. And made it into the Cathedral where I danced away with their bishop(or something) while the guards knocked me out. Another long corpse run back allowed me to rez outside the Cathedral where I was able to get full health before tracking down a pack of orphans who I frost nova’d and attempted to kill. Apparently, like Darq and Cor found out, you CAN NOT KILL ORPHANS! I made it closer to the tram when a 60 Pally finished me off. http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j319/arstout/RunningthroughSW.jpg

I made it to the tram on the next run where I killed the Rat Guy. http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j319/arstout/RatKing.jpg I boarded up the Tram with a lvl 35ish NE and was on my way to IF. http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j319/arstout/TramRide.jpg

Ironforge – What a place. I left the Tram instance and had just enough time to mount up before I was bombarded by guards. I ran for it, but only made it to the beginning of their trade district. http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j319/arstout/InsideIF.jpg I won’t bore you with the details, but I succesdully made it out of IF on my third death.

http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j319/arstout/DeathinIF.jpg Upon exiting there were a few 60’s dueling who I critted a Fireblast at to kill off the loser of the duel. I was immediately scatter shotted and killed. I made it out alive and was able to get some pretty cool screenshots. http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j319/arstout/GatesofIF.jpg

End Notes: The repair bill for my armor was a measly 1G 37S 45C. Raiding Stormwind is not ideal because the corpse-run takes a minimum of 6 minutes. There are also many elite’s in the city that make the entire place a dangerous walk, but the streets are narrow enough that you can successfully resurrect in a shop and get full health before being attacked. Darnassus seems the easiest city to sack because it is very open, there are minimal guards, and there are very few level 60’s around. Also you are ported directly into the city, thus making it very easy to get in wih Ironforge will be extremely hard to sack due to the enormous crowd of 60’s either inside sitting around or outside dueling.

Lol. Very amusing. I should try that someday myself (and seeing that rogues have stealth, I should have more field time exploring the place safely upon reaching level 60).

And is advertising a game here allowed?

Ossiris,
Your post is dumb. It sounds like warhammer is a step down from WoW. I think your first sentence is kind of stupid. The PVP system in WoW is a first of its kind. I died many times, the guards of the cities dealt a huge amount of damage to me, and if I didn't put my tail between my legs and run, I would have been wiped quickly. Guards spawn in cities after you kill off other guards, (Raid on Astranaar?!?!) so an actual Raid of any major city is nearly impossible. For one to be succesful it takes many, many people, many potions, buffs, and time. What I did was simply run through...

Mincemaker,
I think this would be awesome for a high level rogue, especially with MoD rank 5. Being able to sneak around without detection would be great! I posted a "New players guide to WoW" on this site awhile ago and I got smacked because i had a lot of opinion in it. I said "I htink rogues would be th emost fun at higher levels," and that is why i feel that way! And I do not think that game advertisement is allowed, considering the guy got banned already, haha. I think the most important discovery I found while doing this, although I'm sure many people already knew about it, is that when you rez, rez in a house. Civilians do not attack you, so you will be safe enough to get full health before continuing on your way. I downloaded fraps last night, so I might try to do this again and make it into a movie. I've always wanted to actually raid an alliance city, you know, killing off their bosses, but coming from a guild with only about 20 players 50+, I don't think that will be happening very soon.

The reason I did this was of course to have fun, but also becuase I have not seen any posts on here about the manner in which a guild raids a city. Of course, I didn't raid it, but I was hoping to atleast portray the inner-city from a horde member. I would LOVE to see an alliance do the same on horde cities. I wish I had an alliance above 30 :(

Edit: I thought it to be very amusing to see all these 60 alliance riding next to me in IF. Sure some of them attacked me, but I was not expecting some to mount up, ride next to me and /cheer me on. I guess they are not used to seeing a 57 Troll mage show up in their capitol. I have a /wave macro I use when I am grinding to try to be-friend some alliance players so I don't waste time. I wish I took the screenshot of the 4 alliance players do ing this. When I rezzed in IF, I htought I was being corpse-camped, but it turned out they just wanted to see how far I could get.

I know on my server there is this one epic'd out priest who succesfully runs through Org all the time. Ill be fishing in the Valley of Honor when a red name will flash on my screen then a hundred guards will fly by. A few seconds later, the guards scatter and they have the fear symbol above their heads... I salute you priest!

Astranaar brings back memories of the 40-man-raid I joined, which was created right after someone kited a dragon to crossroads. After we killed the dragon, we then go on a raid to Astranaar, but the sheer number of guards overwhelmed us. They started in small numbers, and suddenly multiply.

In other words, it is a fiasco.

News-Update: I did this again last night and made it into a movie. It's 17 minutes long, and very scratchy...Im using the demo versions of Fraps and some editing program...But its still pretty cool. Im gonna be posting it soon enough, but until then, here are my notes on what else I have discovered...

First off, I succesfully made a complete run through Stormwind and directly to the Tram WITHOUT DYING. I did this two out of two times. Of course I know I got lucky, but one thing i did note, is there is a patrolling guard at the front gates of SW that goes up and down the path. If you can avoid him from the start, there will be one less mob hitting you for 100dmg. Also, After you cross the bridge into Stormwind, there is a lvl 62 elite standing in the middle of the path againste the wall. If you can hug the bridge's side you can avoid him completly. Also, take a look at the maps of SW. It is divided into 5(i think) sections, seperated by water. If you can make it to the perimeter of the city you can rest without being attacked(by guards...players are always there)

Tram - Compltely deserted, except the occasional player running through. A very nice place to rest up and heal. I chose to sit on the bench to eat and drink cuz i was feeling macho, but you can jump on the tram-tracks completly out of view of the alliance and eat/drink. On another note..If a warlock and 2 friends could get to the tram, run for a few minutes down the tram-track, they could summon an entire army of horde to come and wipe IF, SW, or both! Just a thought...

IF - MUCH easier this time. I still died, but only once. When you leave the Tram, hook a left and start running. You will most likely die, but try to get as far through the military ward as you can. Make sure you rez when the ONLY guard patrol passes by. Then you are literally free to walk around, as long as other players don't attack. (Edit: Run on the outter rim of the circle. You'll see what I mean when you get in there, but there is a "median" of a lava pit." Most alliance run on the inner ring to spend less time walking. And that distance protects you from melee classes!) I stopped by a few shops, /waved at people and actually used / to walk! I even picked up a map of IF from the "Ironforge Visiting Center!" (Not really, you can't get a map, but i did stop by and dance with them!) Of course once you enter the commons make sure you mount up! So heres what Im thinking about raiding the place. Send in a lock, and 2 other players. Have them run to one of the shops between the commons and the military district. Have them summon a bunch of people on the second floor of the shop, and then go out and have a blast!

Darnassus - You can bring a whole army in there without a problem. Use the port!

EDIT: I would love to see something like this for the alliance side! Our cities are a little more spread out, but Im sure somebody could do it! I challenge a non-rogue to do this and take screenshots:

1) Thunderbluff - Run through each of our Rises. You can make a complete loop by starting in the main central rise, find a bridge, go over it, go back on the next bridge, etc. ( I suggest you enter TB from the northernmost entrance...not too many people use it)

2)Orgrimmar - Start at Western Entrance(this should be the best start location anyway), run through our Drag, and leave through the south entrance, catch the zep and youll be on your way!

3)Catch our zep to Undercity. Enter through the Sewers and make your way around our entire outter circle. Leave through main entrance.

Anyways, good luck!

To Stigg:

Heh I don't know about Alliance raiding Orgrimmar, but some Ally rogue LIVES in Org on my server (Stormrage, PvE) and ganks anyone with a pvp flag coming from the war hall. People are so used to that, noone bothers go looking for him any more and the defense channel screams only cause a few merry comments nowadays

Underling,
That is awesome! Once again, I would LOVE to have a high level rogue! I have a lvl 25 NE rogue living on the outskirts of Sun Rock Retreat that I occaisonally log in and try to gank some horde.

Thanks worldofwar.net for making this post as one of the "Post Watch" selected for the main page!

I am starting to get addicted to figuring out how to do this run wihtout dying. Stormwind is no longer a problem. Nor is the tram. IF is the problem tho. I have succesfully made it out the front gates without dying, but the guards there kill me off.

After leaving the tram, the guards from he military ward stop following you once you reach the front gates area. So you can turn around and get into a shop to heal before continuing on your way. Alliance has started leaving me alone the more times I run through, so they are becoming less of a hassle. I suspect tonite when I try to run it again, I wil be able to get all the way through if I wait in the store until my AB trinket resets(or maybe I should wait until I get to level 58 to get the better trinket??). Anyways, thanks for all the support!

Edit: Scrapple - hello twin! Hope your having as much fun as I am running through these places... have any suggestions on making a full runthrough? Im amazed a hunter can succesfully do this without a mana shield, but i guess if you are quick with siccing your pet on the guards, you could make it through without getting hit...also the mail armor probably helps out a lot!

Seems like you got it down to what I do, My must haves for the 1man raid- Heath/Mana pots and my Grandmaster trinket.

:D Mainly my thanks goes to my trusty Feign death saves me when Im forced off my mount and drops all aggro 99.9% of the time always the 00.1% it resists and I die a very honorable death.

I never pull my pet out unless i'm in a bind. Also if you have some patience and know the wall walk trick to get over the walls of the mighty SW! its much safer then just strolling full speed ahead towards the gates.

Have you gone to the stockades? in the Old town district I think!? also hah which I though was very amusing, trying to kill the orphans which i also have tried to lay waist too.

We are one of a kind, everyone thinks it's a waste of time and repair bill when they could be in MC/ZG/AQ bah! at least on my server. Little do they know its to much fun!

can i just say you're all really lucky not to be playing rogue. I went on a cross faction visit adventure not so long ago. it was when the lunar festival thang was on, i wanted to meet ALL the ancestors. Unfortunately, being an extremely sneaky rogue not much happened. noone saw me, it was just like 'ok im in thunderbluff.. now what?'. The only place i had trouble was orgrimar, the theifcatcher NPC spotted me going through the drag and i had nowhere to hide. I vanished and he scurried away but not before the horde had been alerted to my presence. An orc hunter duly dispatched me to the graveyard.

I ressed and met the ancestor, then messed about using distract on anyone who was pvp enabled just to let them know i was there. really, its no fun if noone knows you did it.

One thing that's great about being a priest is mind controlling. I'll go through darnassus and up over into the night elf starting area. There I will duel someone (i'm on a pvp server) so that I can mind control them and talk to them. I'll tell them I'm bored and am willing to buff them and help them with quests but I can only buff them if they attack me outside the duel. I get them to do such and then usually will just corpse camp them. Ah. And nothing is better than the actions a level 1 night elf takes when they start the game staring at the face of a 60 UD priest.
