View Full Version : Raid member doesn't show up as having installed CTRA

Hey,

I'm honestly not sure where to ask ... so I'm trying here. I'm the raid leader of my guild, and I've required everyone to install CT_RA naturally.

For everyone, who has installed CT_RA, it shows up when I mouseover their name in the group display thing. It says "No CTRA Found", or something like that. Further, he doesn't get text sent to "/rs".

The strange thing is, he installed it just yesterday, he gets the group displayed, and the visual stuff.

So what could be wrong? How can I debug this? I updated my own CTRA as well

If someone has a better forum, please let me know.

Regards,
Svend

I've naturally spammed the channel, he's in my vicinity, and so on. It's been two consequtive raids where this behavior has been seen.

Need to rebroadcast the channel perhaps? This happens all the time in my guild, so we normally don't broadcast the channel until all members have joined the raid. And remember, every time a player logs out, get disc, leaves/joines, you need to broadcast the CTRA channel again... :)

I have seen this before, you can only be in a maximum of 10 channels (I think). If the person having problems is in more channels than this then they need to leave some (/leave channel-name). When they have done this a re-broadcast of the CTRA channel should fix this problem.

..or you can just get the person concerned to type /rajoin <channel>, saving having to yell for a broadcast again.

Yep, also an option. Ofc, if people yell for a broadcast all the time, they get a hint to shut up! ^^

It's not a problem of the channel, I've broadcasted it while standing right next to him, to no avail.

He's not the leader (or assistant), so he cannot write to /rs, but if I write something, everyone else but he gets it. Combined with the info of "No CTRA Found" makes me thing something is going fubared.

I'll check it out about the channels, though that sounds kinda ... arbitary?

No, it probably is the cause, you are only allowed to be in ten channels at once, and CTRA needs a channel to work. You need to get the person concerned to /leave channels, not simply unselect them in the tab for the chat window.

The game does warn "you can only be in 10 channels at once", but for some reason, people hardly ever notice :)

It is the number one cause of people not being able to join the channel, which in turn is why rebroadcasting doesn't do anything for them.

Good luck, anyhow, hope you get it all sorted out.
