Hi, I need mount money fast! Only got 20g at l40. :(

I have 85 enchanting (really expensive so far) and loads of greenies in the bank so have a choice between selling them all on AH or disenchanting them all and selling the mats - which in general would make me more money?

I also have 175 tailoring and stacks of linen, wool and silk bolts. Would feel bad about losing tailoring, and wonder if I power-levelled up my tailoring I could make a lot of money in the longer-term with higher quality cloth items (plus I could DE the greenies I make and sell their mats in parallel), but equally, could also just sell all the bolts now.

What would you recommend for max €?

I'd look up what materials can be made from the green items you have. Weapons tend to make Essences (which sell well), armor tends to make dust (which don't sell as well as the item). Save the Dust for your enchanting, sell the essences.

The other way is to buy Magic Essence (on my server they're usually 10s per Greater Magic Essence), make Lesser and Greater Magic Wands, and sell them at a profit.

If you can get 1 GME for 10s, your cost for making a greater magic wand is 10s 38c (for the wood). It vendors for 15s 35c, so you're already making a profit even just to vendor it. You can probably sell them for upwards of 29.99s on the AH as well, but check the going rate before you do that.

As for tailoring, the only thing your level can make money on is if you can find the pattern for Robes of Arcana. Warlocks need those for their bloodrobe and I see them selling in the AH for almost 4g per robe (and it only takes wool to make).

Thanks for the tip there! I can make Robes of Arcana easily thing is there are better robes (like Robe of Arugal) so I never bothered trying to make it! Will give it a try :)

Drop enchanting on your main and crate an alt just to DE stuff. Then take two gathering professions on your main someting like skinning/mining or skinning/herb and then sell the stacks of items you have on the AH.

I'd keep enchanting for a little while and keep doing solo runs of Shadowfang Keep and then disenchant all the drops you get (a fair amount of blues in there) and sell the mats on the AH. That's how I made my mount cash, then after I got my mount I took up mining/BS.

Depends on what is the stats on the greens. Generally, of the Monkey, Eagle sells better than the rest. Those I will AH. The rest I will DE.

I second the previous poster; Eagle/Monkey items I sell, the rest I disenchant, unless it can indeed give me a fair amount of money (which is quite seldom the case under level 20-25).

Indeed, try to sell the Robes of Arcana; the most annoying component for them are the 2x spider's silks, but if you price the robes accordingly, you can still make some cash even by buying these at the AH. Silk+ bags can also sell well enough, depending on which server you're on.

One thing going for AHing enchant mats is the absence of any deposit. That has it going strongly vs AHing the item before DE in question.

In general, look at the AH before deciding whether to DE or not. Very frequently things that you DE will often give you mats that will not sell. Essences tend to be more valuable on the AH but the demand is lower than dusts, since dusts are more often used for enchant power leveling. As for shards, small radiant shards are more valuable than large radiant shards, due to the fiery enchant. Again, small brilliant is more expensive than large brilliant due to several useful enchantments. eg, +100 major health.

Another thing to watch out for enchant mats is the fact that you can combine 3 lesser essences into 1 greater essence. Look at the AH. Sometimes you see that there is inequality between the price of 3 lesser essence vs 1 greater essence. In that case, you should break down/combine the essence and sell for higher profit.

Here are the enchant mats that will sell, at least in my server.

Greater/lesser eternal essence - Greater eternals are needed for Tier 0.5 quests, so they are invariably hot items on the AH, and therefore so is lesser eternal.

Greater/lesser Nether Essence - Essential in large quantities in enchant powerleveling for Alliance, particularly since they are crucial from 225 to 250. Since the master enchanter is in Uldaman, people will want to stockpile Nether essence so that they don't have to make a second trip into Uld.

Dream Dust - See above.

Illusion Dust - Crucial to many high-level enchants and the Runed Arcanite Rod.

Vision Dust - Look at the AH. On certain days, you will see the AH devoid of any Vision Dust. This is the time to flood the AH market with Vision dust to make a killing. Vision Dust is needed in obscene amounts for enchant powerleveling.

Depends on what is the stats on the greens. Generally, of the Monkey, Eagle sells better than the rest. Those I will AH. The rest I will DE.In addition to that, there are some other stats that will sell well:

Of the Monkey (Sta/Agi)
Leather armor, mail after level 40
All kinds of weapons, but mainly one - and two-handed swords, daggers, bows and guns, or one - and two-handed axes. Those seem to be the most popular among these classes.

Of the Tiger (Str/Agi)
Leather armor
Daggers and one-handed swords, one-handed maces to a lesser extent, but I wouldn't bother with that

Of the Eagle (Sta/Int)
Cloth armor
Mainly staves

Of the Owl (Int/Spi)
Cloth and Leather
Staves and to a lesser extent one - and two-handed maces as well

Of the Whale (Sta/Spi)
Leather armor
Staves and two-handed maces, daggers and one-handed maces to a lesser extent

Of the Bear (Sta/Str)
[list] Mail armor below level 40 and Plate armor
Shields
All kinds of weapons, although I wouldn't bother too much with staves, daggers and ranged weapons.

This list looks pretty extensive, but basically it is smaller than it looks. The type of equipment I mentioned is very important - for instance, you won't be able to sell Cloth Robes of the Bear, while Plate Helm of the Bear can give you quite a lot of money.

I am not so sure about The Whale. I do think only priests have demand for the Whale.
