Hi Im wondering if you can help me, I want to play on a Korean server but I am not sure how to go about this. Do I need to buy a Korean copy of the game and if so can you link me to a website that I can order from?

Thank you

Pity that the boards got hosed by that UO Dweebazoid, would've saved me some typing and I could've simply pointed you to an earlier thread.

Ah well. here goes.

If, you want to play on the Korean servers, then yes you will need a Korean version of the client. This has to do with the varying clients being unable to communicate properly with one and other, the sole exception to this rule being the UK and US clients, which can be juryrigged to recognize one and other.

Anyway, in addition to a Korean client, you will need a Korean server account and you can only get that through the entering a cd-key in the Korean Account Managment section. While, we have had reports that cd-keys are not server oriented restricted, it would just be easier to use the cd-key, which accompanies the Korean client cd's,

How to get a Korean version, now that's a whole lot trickier. Blizzard or their parent company Vivendi Games is putting quite some pressure on online sellers not to ship the respective clients to other locations that would fall under a different client domain. Example, US merchants shipping the game to the EU or vice versa. Same would apply to the Asian clients, I suspect.

Best bet is to either have a local friend buy it for you and have them mail it to you, or you buy it yourself, send it to the local friend and then have them mail it to you. Whichever tickles your fancy really.
