I would just like to ask if anyone knows a mod which allows conversation between Horde and Alliance characters.
My friend sometimes plays a Tauren Warrior and I just wondered if someone knew a way I could add him to my friends list and talk to him?

That's against WoW's TOS.. so nope.
There are ways to communicate.. but nothing fluent, only certain sentences.

I don't know that it's expressly against the ToS, but it is something that Blizz has been adamant that they do not want in the game under any circumstances, and to that end have made it basically impossible for Alliance and Horde to communicate in anything save simplistic emotes.
Seems kinda silly to me, as there are certainly plenty of examples in the lore where the two sides have met and communicated with one another, and the rather conspicuous fact that languages are treated as skills in the game- just that they are not used as such.
What a tease, eh? We can't even learn other languages within our own faction. But there's those skills listed on our tab. :P
The reason why Blizz prohibited interfaction chat was due to people exploiting it during the Beta. Besides if your faction is planning on raiding the other faction's town, do you want them to hear your what are planning?

Hogwash I say, ...
I'd like to tell that Tauren Warrior that i'll take the right mob, he takes the left and that way we can both get our stuff done. Especially on PvE servers where the factions are supposed to be in relative peace. And NPCs that can read Orcish while we're looking at 'kek' :)
I can understand it being impossible on PvP-servers though.
