There is a saying that goes a little something like this:
"You learn something new every day."
So, what Wow related tidbit of information did you learn today? Share your newfound knowledge with the world, and we can all become that little bit more educated together.
For example, today I learned that its quicker to just soulstone yourself and jump off the western edge of Tanaris than to walk all the way down to the entry to Un'Goro (and subsequently all the way north to Marshall's Refuge). This would have saved me a fair bit of time had I learned it sooner, but im done with Un'Goro quests now and theres a flight path coming in the next patch. If only I had seen it in a thread somewhere.
Now you.

Dual Wield Specialisation for a Warrior is crap... (50% -> 62.5% offhand damage) compared to it's accompaning talents.
Ow and that I MUST be a main Druid since I keep bouncing back and forth to wanting to play all the classes, but when I get on my Druid I always end up doing everything: Cat Form for damage, pop out to heal the tank and go Bear Form if there are adds to be held at bay. This off course when not main healing in an instance, otherwise the tank wouldn't last long :).

Note on Un'goro - if you're going to Marshalls a fair bit, you're almost better off getting the flightpath in Silithis and flying there to run (mounted of course) to Un'goro. At least until the new flight path opens up.
And a tip of the day - hit enter to open the chat and use Alt-up arrow to cycle through the last things you typed.

I learned THAT today. Great tip :)

It is possible to use the old "feign death -> OOC jumper cables rezzing" trick on Ossirian in AQ-20. Didn't think it was possible on any (raid) bosses anymore.

I was somehow ashamed that as a Rogue, I was still using the stupid little thrown daggers. Moreover, I used to see guns on the AH with nice stats, and thought it'd be nice to have one. Some time ago, a long, long time ago, in fact, I had bought the Guns skill, but never trained it, nor used a gun.... for a simple reason: I was convinced that I MUST to use an ammo bag to use guns/bows, and since I already carry a herbs bag, I couldn't afford "sacrificing" another bag slot...
A long moment of solitude ensued, when I tried using guns on a young Rogue alt, and realized that the ammo could be put anywhere in any bag...
(The hell if I know why I was convinced of this. Perhaps because the only time I had a guns-wielding char was the day I tried a Hunter, who comes with the ammo bag... and it made me think that this was the way it should be.)
Of course, now my main Rogue has a nice gun with a scope and nice stats bonuses.

Did the same thing with my warrior, bought a gun (actually probably found one) and then spent an hour finding someone to make me an ammo pouch, I bought some ammo which went automatically to backpack and forgetting about the ammo pouch slotted the ammo into the slot and started using the gun, about half an hour later when I run out of bag slots I realise, hey Im not using the ammo pouch and its empty.
What did I learn today? Its possible at level 24 to fall off the Great Lift when mind controlled and somehow not die, man was that one suprised Priest.

i always just ran east from gadgetstan and jumped of the cliff, pretty sure its shorter :)

Yesterday I learned that you shall not stay up too late on a sunday night grinding those last few xps, get 3h sleep, then eat heavy food while lurking these forums during the lunchbreak, and as a result fall asleep dreaming sweet wow dreams during the loooong monday afternoon staff meeting...thankfully I have workmates with epic kick-under-the-table-skills ;-)

I learned that the bigger and uglier they are, the harder they hit the ground. I also learned that even with 309 gun skill and a stack of +hit gear, it's still possible to miss a dragon the size of a small truck.

I do believe the Dwarven solution to that problem is: Use a bigger gun.

I learned today that the military (not sure if they still do) would breed Black Widow spiders, and use their webbing for the crosshairs in sniper scopes.

You might be amazed to discover that the mystery of spider silk has been solved. The U.S. military and a Canadian biotech company have isolated three spider genes that code for silk proteins, and manipulated the genes of two Nigerian dwarf goats so that their milk can be turned into silk.

hahaha my favorite pasttime. actually. i prefer just dueling people on the zep tower at UC and just jumping them off. If they're lower than level 30, two jumps will kill them. Otherwise, it's fun just making them miss the zep. :-D

Get a good guild if you're gonna start raiding, else all you do will be healing.
I learned that its possible for an item with a 3% drop chance to drop 5 times in the time it takes for an item with 24% drop chance to drop once. Its only a chance afterall.

Actually, if that piece covered the a$$, it would look much much better than sitting on the shoulder :)
I learned this morning that even if you price an auction a bit on the high side, there is always someone who will buy it.

The spell, Immolation, will prove a lot more useful, if you replace it in the actionbar with one of a higher rank.
:banghead:
I learned that Shadow Priests aren't that cool :\
I finally got Mind Flay and it's just kind of silly. Now I'm forced to shield up to do full damage, and the spell isn't that cool looking.
I will carry on though.

Today I learned that Silithus is a real pain to grind. All those lengthly poisonings during every fight makes bandaging really annoying.
On an entirely related note, I learned that keeping those random trinkets that "might be useful one day" is totally worth it. Heart of Noxxion has cut this major iritation in half and it still sucks.
Id go somewhere else but I have quests there. If the quest is soloable I cant refuse it. Its a weakness.
