In this pic, I'd like the mod that lists the buff icon, and the buff name too, right next to the icon.

Here, I'd like to know how to get
a square minimap,
the modified and simplified combat log,
the various buttons in the actionbars in a rectangle,
the combat log and chat log all opaque

Here, is just the cool looking casting bar at the bottom. Im sure it's eCastingBar, and I even installed it. However, I can't move the eCastingBar, and it's on top of my character.

I also want to remove the little player thing at the top left hand, and the mob thing that appears next to it too. I'd like to be able to put simplified versions closer to my char.
The simplified things would look something like:

Also, I saw this screenshot, where a character's hp (100/150) was listed, as well as how much hp was lost (-50), right next to the hp bar. As a priest, I'd love to have that. It would look like:

In addition, I'd like a smaller XP bar right next to/below my hp/mana bars.

Right now, I'm using ArcHUD, which is really cluttery.

A couple of these mods are commonly used in Nurfed, that's about all I know.

Two other mods for custom bars setups are Gypsy Hotbar mod http://gypsymod.the-mad.net and Bongos http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/wow/addons-2774-1-bongos.html

Both are fairly flexible (not as much as Flexbar or Discord but much smaller learing curve) and more flexible then Nurfed or many of the other ones out there

Thanks all! I only have two things missing, a small xp bar (the thing you recommended only made the xp bar more informative, I'd like a small bar the length of a HP or Mana bar. Finally, what I meant by 100/150 and -50, is that te bar would show that a character has 100 hit points out of 150 hit points. It would also show that he is missing 50 hit points (-50).

Okay, I have an update. All these work wonderfully, but I can't move the square minimap, and when I use discord to get rid of blizzards bar at the bottom, a part of that bar remains (part with world map, GM help, etc., character, etc.). Also, the tooptip that describes a npc or spell pops up, overlapping my discord baction bar. how do I move that tooltip?

Ok in /dab go to misc options and click on "Hide Main Bar art" or something like that.. at the top of the page.

You can also make the XP bar smaller by using the "Scale" slider... warning: Move the XP bar to the middle of your screen (using unlock drag option in /dab) and adjust it slowly, because the scaling could shoot it right off the screen.

Personally... I like the normal blizz unit frames... it's got everything I need, just wish I could keep it the way they are but spice 'em up just a little.

That "Main Menu bar" is moveable the same way the other DAB-bars are moveable. Using the top-right section scroll down to find that bar there.

Beware: If you move the Minimap you also move:
- the buffs/debuffs (even the CT-ones)
- The quest-minion (-> Use MonkeyQuest as replacement)

+ Titan Panel will keep moving it back to the top everytime you change one of it's options. (Very annoying)

Anyways.

The 2 last screenshots, the first one with the Druid, the unitframes are made in DUF, had that layout a year ago.

For his bars, he either uses CardBars, Bongos or Bartender, it's not DAB I tell you.

The raid unitframes are from XRaid, download it, type /xraid and configure it the way you want, you'll need Ace for it.

Bandages, Pots & HS -> AutoBar

Casting Bar -> eCastingBar

Combat Log -> Nurfed Combat Log (I suggest using Simple Combat Log tho, uses less memory and has more options)

At the second screenshot, it's the author of Xraid. The bar he uses at the bottom is made with XML(1-2kb, same what DFM does but with 5mb.)

He uses Xraid with XraidStatus there, together with Ace'd MiniGroup2 :).

And they both use FuBar btw.


Someone was asking for the HUD, it's made in Discord, or someone else made it and didnt release to public.

You could make your chatframe backgrounds by using textboxes in DUF. Might not be as pretty as those without some fiddling about with bordertextures and such, but instead of implementing custom art through DART that is what I did say...here:

I fail to see how you can say it's crap though, as it lets you do virtually anything you want with your actionbuttons/bars. There might be other alternatives out there, but DAB is what I use and it's what I know and love.

I have used flexbar for a long time, which is waaay better then dab imo but I realised that the only thing I use from it is to make some bars. Do I really need to have bars appear only when I select a mob? naah. Do I need to have bars disappearing when I mount? naah.

If you want a clean and reliable UI, just get bartender which simply owns because of it's simplicity. It takes 1 minute to set up and you never have to worry about it again. Or get bongo's if you want a bit more configurability. I wouldn't touch anything from discord EVER. Sure it looks nice, but it takes hours to set up and then it is still buggy =/

Hehe. But I think some UI's made with discord look truely amazing, but I really don't find it worth the effort if I read they have been working on it for days to get it just right.

I'll agree that a lot of the options in discord are unnecessary for most people, but some people really like to customize for each situation. However, if you can't figure out how to work discord/it isn't doing what you want, that's your problem, not a problem with discord.

Well, the basics anyways. I can set it up the way I like, and if I suddently want it to do something else I haven't done before, I fiddle about and learn how to do it.

And there's is help to be had form Lozareth and others over at the forums on http://www.discordmods.com, and I bet that even though you cannot fathom the "complexity" of Discord, I'm sure the guy who wrote it does. :)

But then again I enjoy fiddling about with my UI..

If a simpler mod caters to your needs,; by all means use that one. But I don't think you'll find many mods that gives you the same extensive possibilities as Discord.
