I have just download the US version and want to play on the EU servers (I have EU account) , I have changed the realmlist.wtf to set realmlist eu.logon.worldofwarcraft.com but still the game doesnt want to update,...do I have to download the latest US patch ? I tried whit the 1.10 full EU patch and there was a problem.

Two problems.

a) The juryrigging can only be done with the US to UK versions and vice versa. If, you're trying to another version like the German than it's no dice.

b) Main problem is that the threads detailing how this is done look like they got nuked, when some dweebazoid got into a mod account and did a number on these forums.

I'll try and do some more digging later today, if no one else has helped you out by then.

Ok, far as I can tell the relevant threads did get nuked beyond recovery.

So, I did some googling:

you can use your client on both US and EU servers as long as they are on the same patch version. You just need to set your client to connect to the servers (use realmlist.bla in your WoW directory and change us to eu, and visa versa).
Note again that both US and EU servers must be using the same patch version, or else you will have to patch back and forth to play

and.. ah frell..

It looks like the rest of the instructions involve certain activities, which are not condoned (there was some leeway about a year ago, but no longer) on this forum, nor are links to such places.

World of Warcraft, EU to US, convert -gold -ebay are the search terms I used in google.

I can say this much though, it is a post which used to be on these forums (prior to the Dweebazoid attack).

That should be enough to help you on your way.

Good luck and good hunting.

For your sake I hope you live in europe and not in the US. If you try intercontinental play, you better have one **ing good connection or be prepared to some serious lag issues.
