Hi,

I know some players should get 100/300 in common language (liek z0mgX0rz), but I'd like to know... Whats the point of this? I know its probably due to the horde/alliance common language but do they really need to put this in your skill list? It's absolutly useless in the most ultimate of ways...

Unless there was somewhere you could train language skills... but I've really never seen any language trainers.

Why the heck do we need to know our characters skills in language?

i agree on all points. some people in the game desperately need an english lesson. and the skill is pretty much useless. unless theres a hidden trainer to learn orcish.....

In the original design of the game, it was going to be possible to faction with the opposing side. It never made it to beta that way, but if you look at the interviews that Rush and Elly did early in the game development you'll see things like Humans learning to ride wolves, becoming non hostile to horde, etc.

I'd still like to see some of that come out of the expansion.

I guarantee that my characters would never be welcome by the alliance :) ever :)

Blame it on a large percentage of the Forsaken players of Beta, both open and closed. There is a reason why the Forsaken language is called Gutterspeak.

All the language plans that were left, as per OMO's comments, got nixed after they started to abuse the cross faction speech possibilities.

Well, that sux:cry: . I want my Orc to be able to speak Taurahe and Troll at least! We are allies after all.

I wonder if they might do that at least in the expansion? Maybe not cross-faction languages(though I would love that), but you can learn the languages of your allies perhaps?

I could see Goblins teaching languages. They speak all of them so they can trade well, don't they?

Orcs only speak Orcish, Humans only speak Common.

The rest have their own language which no other races can understand.

Orcs only speak Orcish, Humans only speak Common.

The rest have their own language which no other races can understand.
So Forsaken can speak of their ebil plans and no other Horde member will know about it.

From an RP point of view it would be AWESOME to be able to rep with the opposite faction. Think of the endless possibilities! I'd love it.
