Im thinking of getting an external hard drive so i can fit wow on, but do you need a DVD drive for windows?

When I bought the box it came on CDs, but I already had the client installed from a magazine DVD with a trial on it. I just needed the retail key.

So to answer your question: You can buy it on CDs.
