Hi

I was wondering out of interest really what ppl are planning on doing for expansion

1. Reroll and get char up to lvl20 then got back to your lvl60 to get it to lvl70

2. Reroll and get your new char from lvl1 to lvl70 (would be your new main)

3. Carry on with your lvl60 and get it to lvl70 as soon as possible

4. Anything i did not think of

And if you could put a few lines why your thinking of doing that and also what faction you are and if your thinking of moving to the other.

Anyway thanks again in advance (reasons for me asking help me make up my mind hehe plus like i said out of interest:thumbsup:

I'm gonna take my current main into the outlands/new content and play casually and enjoy the experience, rushing generally isn't all that fun, and I dont wanna miss out on all this great stuff.

I'll also probably roll a Dranei/bloodelf alt with Jewellcrafting just so I can experience that stuff too =)

I have been collecting jewls on my 27 in preparation for the expansion so i will start him on jewl crafting and slowly explore outland on my 60 do all the quests as i go.

Ill go from 60-70, then perhaps go back and roll one of the new races after the newbie areas have calmed down.

My current plan is to take my level 60's to 70.

Since we don't know how the balance of power will switch and which classes will become the best, I'm leveling them all pre expansion so I can choose which ever I want when the time comes. All on the alliance so far.

When the blood elves come out, I do fancy making a horde character, just because they seem so overpowered at the moment, I fancy jumping on the band wagon and being super powerful.

I plan to try to be the first lvl 70 in my guild and then i wanna roll a jewelcrafting draenei warrior (omg! warrior with heals! :P)

Maybe rerolling, maybe taking my current main to 70 I haven't decided yet. if I'm rerollng I would probably go BE priest.

I most likely make a draenei hunter first thing and jump from him to my main for a while.

Priorities:

-Level my lvl60 main to 70.
-Level my lvl60 alts to 70.
-Level my other alts to 60-70.
-Optional: Roll a BE/Draenai alt.

First priority for me is to roll a BElf alt called Napoleon or possibly Dynamite

- get my main 60 to 70
- get a draneii to 10 if their 10-20 area turns out to be an existing one (darkshore), to 20 otherwise
- get a blood elf to 20
- get my alt 60s to 70 (one so far, but by the time expansion comes out I may have another)

So, in other words, he likes doing everything the easy way... All Alliance, then another overpowered race. Gj at showing yourself truely... Sorry, I just find that kind of rediculous. As for me though, I'll take my 60 to 70, explore, do Naxx, get that killer dagger, then get my (Soon to be) level 60 alt to 70 also.

Edit: I'm also going to probably make both a Dranei and Blood Elf just to check out both of their starting area's and stuff.

My main priorities when the expansion comes out is to continue having fun. However I do want to experience the Outlands etc too, so I am grinding MC and onwards pre expansion with my main and main alt. I am sure we'll be going to dungeons in the expansion too!.

Other than that I want to try the new races out see what new stuff is there to explore and so on...

Yet another person under the bizarre, alien, false impression that the horde is the 'hard mode' -side, I presume?

Getting my main to 70 is definitely my goal as far as I can see. But knowing Blizzard that might just not be very easy (like just grinding him there in a couple of days): I trust them to make the way from 60 to 70 as hard and long as 1 -60 ^^.

Jewelcrafting is definitely an option, for that I might try a new toon or switch some alts profession....

I'm not under the impression, I know it. I've played every class on almost every race to at MINIMUM level 12. The people that got the quickest rep: Humans, NE's, Dwarves, Orcs. The people that leveled the quickest: NE's, Humans, Dwarves, Gnomes. The people that got drops (Items) the quickest: Humans, Undead, NE's. It goes on and on like that. I don't hear on the Alliance side too often "It's so hard to find an end-game guild." Thanks for thinking about me though =). By the way, this is about the Expansion, please, only posts about the expansion Ice, otherwise it's useless just about.

I forgot to add that I'm going to get my brother a new race and help him level it a little.

I don't like the direction this thread is heading to. Mallstrop says he has all Alliance characters up to now and he is thinking of creating a Bloodelf, and this is the reaction he gets? Drama much?

Yep, an overpowered alliance, whose team wins 0.1% of all BG's I enter, an overpowered alliance who tends to see more horde poeple than mobs and alliance toons together when leveling in STV, yep, I'm definitely overpowered...

And for a humble attempt to stay on-topic, I am not looking forward to the expansion so long as I still have 50% of the original game to see.

But at snowiekens request, I'm getting out of this thread right now.

Thanks to all who have posted so far its really interesting to read tbh what ppl are doing. I though most ppl would be carrying on with there lvl60's and make a alt on the side this seems to me to be the case. If anyone else would like to post what they are doing who be cool trying to get an idea for my guild and me about what kind of percentage of ppl are going to reroll or carry on and get the 60's up to 70.

Again thanks for all post and if anyone else wants to post would be greatly thankful as would give me even more of an idea what ppl plan to do.

Thankyou again

Well, I'm not really sure at the moment.

What I do know is that I tend to get somewhat depressed when I play with my main (human mage). Some sort of "inner voice" keeps telling me "you know you're going to roll a BE mage when BC comes out... why waste your time on this pitiful human?"

I'm an Alliance fan. Been playing the human/human alliance side since WarCraft : Orcs and Humans. But really, Quel'Thalas looks absolutely stunning. And after seeing what kind of racials the BEs are getting, I wonder how my human mage is supposed to compete with that. And the human male casting animation has got the be the worst in the game.

The only thing that keeps me away from this idea a bit is that BE will most likely become the new kiddo magnet. Thinking about what Eversong Woods (or whatever the starting area is) will look like gives me the creeps too (think about 40% of your server's population there at the same time). Oh, and I also hate the Horde... it's my WC1/WC2 persona showing up.

Damn it bliz, I wanted a HE mage in the first place. Can't believe they gave us stinking gnomes instead... Imbalance you say? I think the NEs should have been with the Horde. Shamanistic orcs and peaceful, nature loving cows fit the NE philosophy better than humans and gnomes who can be mages and warlocks. Of course, having the UD in the Horde ruins this idea a bit, but I really think that Horde should have gotten NEs, and Alliance HEs (or BEs; whatever).

Think I'm acting like a kid who wants to play as a blond chick? No, that's not the case. I always play male characters anyway, and, for the record, I always thought that Legolas looked weird. I want a BE mage because, in TFT, it was the first time in a WC game that a powerful *male* mage was not pictured as the stereotypical old, white-bearded dude. Alright, Khadgar is still my favourite character so far, but he was an exception (and why in the nine stinking hells did they give his statue a long beard?? They ruined him! Gandalf carbon copies are afoot!). Kael didn't look like a frail book hugger, and that's something special. The BE mage on the BC main page (http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/burningcrusade/) sold me to blood elves. Sure, the Draenei guy looks great to, but I'm tired of blue people.

So yeah, I'm probably going to reroll to BE, like many people will probably do. I got carried out a little, but anyway.

Ice, you're on the ONE server that that happens on.

I'd like to see a lot of new 5-10 man instances that drop set gear around as strong as MC =>. Sure, it could be a hard instance, but one that's actually beatable by a group of 10 people. I'd also like to see "Class Set Instances" =D. By that I mean one hall is for 20-29, another is for 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, then finally 70's. It should be either 1 manned and VERY hard but still do-able, or 5-manned and you can only bring your own class with you and still very hard, but still do-able.

yeah Kalzi i feel excally the same about the armor thing you where on about the prob i have with WoW (all be it i am happy with the rest)atm is to get any really good epic pieces you have to be part of a massive over 40 ppl guild and tbh alot of the time not all that easy to get into particually if you were unlucky and got into a crap guild instead of one of the good ones. Much to my relief when i saw the interviews from E3 i was glad to learn that although there will be 40 man instances in the expansion most will be 5/10/15/20 man which i much prefere because those ranges are more accesable for more players (i.e players do not have to be in mammoth guilds) only thing i have not heard of yet is what kind of armor will be in these instances fingers crossed it is epics maybe not all but at least some. Imo it would be a bit stupid to have lvl70 instances with blue armor.

you only need 40 people provided everyone shows up, not exactly mammoth

my guild has about 55 or so people (accounts I mean, obviosly some people have alts and whatnot) and is the most advanced guild on our server

We still don't know how Blizzard intend to implement the level-up process from 60 to 70. They might make the xp ramp up exponentially, or introduce some other scheme that makes it hard to power-level your way through the new content. They spent a long time creating it, so it makes sense to slow players down a bit. I have no intention of blasting to 70 asap anyway, as I want to take my time and enjoy the new content. I will assume rested bonus is still in effect, so it would make sense to level my two 60s (possibly three by the time BC is released) in parallell, alternating burning off the rested bonus on each of them.

Getting a char to 70 is more important to me than rerolling as one of the new races, but I will probably do so once the initial rush has faded and everyone has moved on to their respective 10-20 zones. I have always wanted to roll a warlock, and a BE warlock seems perfect. I will probably create a Draenei alt as well, probably with Jewelcrafting so that he can some day support my high end chars (who are all Alliance).

Also, I'll probably alternate between raiding the current endgame instances and leveling up in Outlands. I will most likely raid BWL once a week, while questing/grinding in the new zones. As I move towards 70 I will still keep on raiding AQ40 and Naxx, while also taking time to sample the new instances in the expansion. A lot of these instances are 5-man, or at least have 5-man wings, which I think is really cool. I like raiding, but in terms of individual challenge I much prefer the 5-man format. Most of all I'm looking forward to having more choices regarding what to do with my time - the current endgame is a bit linear (MC->BWL->AQ->Naxx).

I probably won't get into the "new" endgame raiding scene until I'm 70 and have been so for a while, which might be a year or so after the release of the BC expansion. I suspect Blizzard will make it pretty hard to get from 60 to 70, possibly something like 10 days /played - or maybe more. 24 game hours per level? Seems about right.

preach it like it is

the horde on my server outnumber us close to 2 to 1. I have to log a 60 out anywhere i want to grind my alt(lvl 46), cause every horde thinks its funny to come camp me.

Also i will power level my characters to 70, starting with my main when the expansion comes out. I dont like any of the new races, i am gnome and gnome only!

Yeah i see your point just from my experience it was always a pain, but i prob should have used diff word part from mammoth kinda come out wrong what i was getting at

Not many ppl go around saying that i am glad tbh i love gnomes i go gnome whenever i can depending the class i am making and side but i always get the fun taken out of me for being em or for thinking they are cool but hey i am proud to take from for the team hehe:) (and glad to see i am not alone)

My plan is to roll a blood elf priest or mage and a draenei pally with jewel crafting. (I've never rolled a pally) I'm not as concerned with leveling my 60 to 70, it'll happen in good time.

I will roll a blood elf mage, i am not playing a mage now for just this purpose. And I will create the Manatca, a guild of Warlock Bankers, for the sheer comedic value.

i'll wait until all the kids get their first new race rerolls done and out of the start area, then i will try a new race for fun.. but not long term..unless the blood elf racial is that good.

i'll take my epic 60's to 70 one at a time, starting with my maxxed out shaman first (my best character).

i wont re/roll jewelcrafting, instead, i'll take up the mining of the resources. This is because EVERYONE will be jewelcrafting. There will be too many new-race jewelcrafters on the server for it to mean anything. They will need supplies though.

but first..
i wont log into the game for a week or 2 after the expansion.. i think the servers will die. the main cities will be overpopulated, the chat channels will be super noobed, everyone will be running around an alt new race toon, doing the same exact quests and getting in each others way. etc...
