Well im pretty tiked off, i got the trial version, then realised that you have o enter credit card details! And my dad refuses. With the 60 day prepaid card thingos, do you have to type in your credit ard details?

That depends, In Europe you can play indefinately by entering gamecards, you never have to enter your credit card details at all if you dont want to.
Ive heard people in America have to enter a credit card whether they use gamecards or not. You could probably sort this out with your dad if you just use his card to sign up (no charge), and then prepay your subscription fee with gamecards.

Tell him that his credit info is likely safer with Blizzard than with the odd shop he tends to use the card to pay for stuff in, or the restaurant he totally trusts with his card in the back room.

Yup, I don't think there's anything else you can do than sort it out with your dad - in the US you do need a credit card for age verification, although it will never be billed when using gamecards.
And on a side note, when you made a spelling mistake, you can edit your own posts within the hour, by clicking on the hammer and spanner icon at the bottom right of the post

I sometimes find it hard to get how older people tend to be overly paranoid about every silly little thing that didn't exist in their childhood. I also know a few people that refuse to use internet banking just because "they will steal my money from me".
No-one could ever get away with emptying one's credit card, especially on the official site of a game 6 million people pay for, mostly with credit cards. Get him to his senses.

If you have a Walgreens or a newer Coinstar Machine (will have cash accepter like the ones on vending machines) You can get a pre-paid Visa or Mastercard. There's no age limit that I'm aware of and you just stick the money into the machine or pay the cashier and vuala, credit card. It costs $10 + However much you want on the card.
If you go this route, activate it online. The call center is in Asia somewhere and the employees don't understand English very well. If you activate online it will still ask you to call but you only have to deal with the recording.

Nah don't think that sounds odd snow... I was going to suggest the same thing... only to have his father get him a prepaid debit card. (didn't know you have to activate it, but all those jobs are outsourced to other countries these days). That's probably the best way to go... then your dad doesn't have to give up his credit card and you get to play.

I'm European, so I'm totally not familiar with this, hence why it probably sounds dodgy to me. :-)

I didn't know that about the coinstar credit card, that is awesome. I'm going to tell some people about that!
